Trail 1 start behind Kalajar village and goes up north to the top of the Margalla ridge line, through a combination of seasonal water courses and mountain tracks. This is a less developed and less frequented trail and routes are not as elaborately marked as in trails 3, 6 etc. After reaching the water shed, the trail moves east and comes down east of Kalajar village, at the back side of Margalla Green Golf Club. From here, you can come west towards Kalajar and than to NDU or you can move east and go to Faisal Mosque. The area on this trail is pure wilderness and very less frequented. One must take water (though couple of streams do exist but they are not perennial), snacks and first aid kit. Moving alone on this trail is not advisable. Since very few people go there, you will come across lot of wild life, including crested neck pheasant and barking deer, if you are lucky. Going to the top and coming down will take a person with reasonable fitness 4-5 hours.
Nice place but need infrastructure and improvement
