Its a great park with bench and tables here there, has toilets and yoga groups. Lots of trees with a great habitat for birds (Im kinda obsessed with birds ). Cats an reptiles are also there just so you know... A pretty cool place actually no wonder there are lots of trees n plants

Kachnar Park is not very old it have importance due to well maintained by CDA and the users. This park is situated in bitween Green belt of sector I-8/3 and Islamabad Express. The long O Shap walking track is very famous in the I-8 sector. Daily many people and around from sector I-8 for specialy in the evening for recreation and walk. Residents of around the park holds cleaning event atlest twice a year to maintain environment of park. Fully covered with green trees are Specialty of this Park.

They ruined it.A couple if years back, it was covered with trees. Traffic on the Expressway was never visible. Now, its all there and the noise is unbearable.Tracks are good. Lately, I have aeen people doing bridal showers and community gatherings.Some genius built a government building right in the middle of it.It used to have cycle parking stands but now everything is gone.Overall, with a little maintenance this can be a great place for runners ans families.

Its a peaceful meditative place in the suburbs if Islamabad. No swings for kids, but plenty of place to run around and explore. Nearby, is I 8 Markaz which has Quetta tea, Hot & Spicy, Habibi, moca Chino, and others. So a picnic can be held easily.
