There are some animals those kept in poor condition and atmosphere like every department of Pakistan it also need to be reinstated. Islamabad Zoo is the best zoo in twin cities. Environment is clean & healthy. I have seen improvement in over all condition since my last visit a couple of months ago. A good place for kids and families.

This zoo is responsible for keeping Kaavan in such a bad state for soo many years. I dont know how many aninals are badly treated here but if we have to go by the order of Islamabd High Court this is a torture cell. Close down this zoo.

Id say its rather pleasant seeing a moderately good recreational facility here in the capital. its quiet and peaceful here. not too many people. the entry fee is 20 PKR only which is like free, i suggest it should be 500 and the authorities should use the income to actually put some nice animals there. also the elephant seemed depressed. Overall its alright i guess.

Its a small zoo at the base of Margallah Hills in Islamabad. It has no animals or birds at the moment. It has been vacated for renovation and reconstruction.

One of the best zoos in the country, specially the parking space and surroundings are way better than any other zoo, nice environment, spacious enclosures for animals, the zoo wasnt smelly like Lahore or Karachi zoo,The canteens in the zoo needs to up their service a bit, rates were very reasonable compared to such places, usually rates in the such places are very high but not here, the mosque should be upgraded and there should a place for wudhu for ladies, and some taxi people had parked their taxis in front of the gate they should be moved from there,

A very good hangout for your kids and even bigs. The condition overall is neat but it can be improved. My kids really like going there and see the star attraction - the elephant and lions. I recommend the authorities should take greater care of the wildlife in the zoo as well.

Nice place for family and kids .kids under 5 are free .very reasonable ticket prices. They also have kid rides such as spinning wheels ,jumping castle and trampoline etc .pkr 30 each ticket for each ride. Nice dinosaurs theme park inside .

As of 30th oct 2020, the zoo is closed due to covid. Only the horse and camel ride outside the zoo is available, and the tampoline, bouncer, and some other kids swings r there. Check before u plan to visit

The maintenance of the park is very poor, CDA should take care of their responsibilities and do timely repair and maintenance to avoid major damages.

I visited this place in 2015 and It used to be more beautiful and managed at that time than now. Yesterday I visited the Zoo again, it seems like no time to time maintenance is being done by administration of Zoo. Still this place is good for outing with family. Dino park of Zoo feels like totally ruined now. Condition of animals feels like they are not taken care properly. Its a good place to spend half an hour but not more than that. Overall atmosphere is good for humans but not at all for animals. A lot of maintenance is required and much more care of animals needed.

Zoos animals are being shifted to different locations. Adjacent Dino park is nice for picnic points. A word of caution contains many monkeys.

Visited Islamabad Zoo after a long time, overall its a nice place to take your kids and show them some animals. Rides are very reasonably priced, the staff is very nice and helping with the kids. Well it gives the old vibe, it was clean enough but not very well kept, I mean it just seemed rustic. Specially the Dino Park seemed like a forgotten part of the Zoo other then that it was a good experience, kids enjoyed. Oh and I almost forgot the un-caged monkeys who were running after people with food, fun to watch but little scary.

I visited here with my family,Was a wonderful trip,Administration and staff have a good behavior.Cleaning 8 out of 10.Animals and birds 10 out of 10.

Good place , neat and clean. Very few animals , definitely should add more animals and shows to make it a more attractive destination. They do have horse rides and camel rides which does provide a fun activity for children. Much work is needed to make it worth your time.

Marghuzar Islamabad Zoo is one of the best tourism point in Islamabad.But after the pandemic covid19 the park is still closed for general public.We last visit August 16, 2020 but no entry was allowed.But Dont worry just behind the zoo there is a Japanese park, what a great place! specially for children and families.Japanese park is open for general public.Your picnic or tourism is incomplete if you do no visit Daman-e-Koh and this is just beside the zoo.

Zoo is well managed, a good place to bring family and kids for amusement. There is also a artificial dianasore portion which is also good. Well managed & clean place must visit if you are going with family to Damn e Koh.

Worst zoo of Rawalpindi Islamabad. Even Ayub park zoo and Bahria town zoo have more animals than this zoo. They are even more managed and more aesthetic. Animals are very less in type and number, cages are not well kept, dinosaurs models was a good idea but almost all of them are not damaged. The only attractions are substandard carnival rides. No place to eat. This place has high potential but ignored by CDA.
