Never disappoints. Food taste, service, quality n quantity spectacular
My childhood favourite a pure authentic Chinese feel with authentic Chinese food founded by pre partition Chinese settlers of Karachi.Quality of food is exotic.Range of food is vaste. Parking is readily available at dinner. Sitting capacity is spacious.Serving is also good. One of the oldest Chinese restaurant of Karachi.
Its been years the quality and taste of the food did remain the same. its not that much easy to keep the same taste with the same standard. all the credit goes to management. though the ambiance and parking are little bit compromised eventually the food taste covers all the negligence.
I love the food here, it has the best tasting Chinese food by far in Karachi. It may not look it but the food inside is amazing. The fried prawn balls are delicious. All the chow meins chicken or beef are great. Tofu which is rare to make delicious was great with vegetables. I can not say enough about this place just go and try it.
It use to be one of the best Chinese restaurants in the city their fish on toast is a must. So is their Kung Pao chicken and Thai soup. However over the new number of years the quality has deteriorated and its a mere shadow of itself. The meat seemed old. I would still recommend as the quality differs from day to day.
Yuan tung is one of the oldest Chinese restaurants in karachi. Located at Tariq Road. They are expert in Chinese cuisine and quality of food is so good. Ambiance is average but very quiet and peaceful and they need to work on decor. This restaurant was run by a Chinese lady and she didnt compromise on the quality and taste of the food. Overall a nice place for the Chinese lover in karachi because old is gold!
Good food and they are the oldest in town. Their soup special one is the best. Try their crispy beef and sticky fish.Their crabs are great
I have been to this resturant many many times .... feel best genuine Chinese food taste ...... very courteous staff
Authentic Chinese, delicious! But no live hot pot :(
Been there several times. Its average. The food isnt exceptional, but its good.
Prawns Chilles and veg was amazing and delicious ...food ....and .....tasty
Excellent food with good service .But no social distancing in restaurantOver crowded tables in hall.
Serving Pakistani-style Chinese food for decades. And still maintaining their standards!
Perfect quality of food and comfort enviornment. Thier sticky fish and chowmien is a must try.
Good food..... a place that has been around for a period spanning 2 generations
Used to be my favorite Chinese place since childhood , ordered 2 days ago and extremely bland tasted of everything biggest waste of 4600 rupees, not going again. Gave 2 stars due to old association otherwise food is not good at all they have lost it
Rediscovering this restaurant is always an adventure. Went there after close to one year, and the food was as good as I remember it to be each time. One thing was new ... they appear to have expanded. I could see one large, new dining salon, and one private room. One other change was how much livelier the whole place.seemed to be ... guests were still coming in as we were leaving at 11pm ... in the old days the place would go dark at 10. Whatever you do, do order the Barbeque Squid. Enjoy.
One of the best Chinese restaurants in town for the past 15 years
It has always been good to be there and enjoy every single bite
Pathetic service. Over priced. Zero taste
Nice place having lunch with chinese food with good enviorment...
Taste is average. Price is too high
Taste is good but no option for review and feedback there
Excellent and one of the best Chinese stuff
Awesome food since many years .
Authentic Chinese food, good food quality
This is authentic chinese restaurant at Tariq road seving since last 40 years. It is run by a family who are great cooks. The soups especially the Thai soup is amazing. The Hot Pot their signature dish is worth writing about.. the service is super fast and the waiters are very courteous. If you want the real treat visit this place once. Do also try their fried Calamari or BBQ Calamari. The taste guranteed. 10/10:
Best Chinese in town. Economical, great taste and classic ambiance. Reminds me of the good old days️
Ok good, very few options for vegetarians unfortunately!
Good tast of food
Good food, good service, love to go there again
One of the oldest Chinese restaurants in KarachiCozy ambiance and excellent food. Thier Schezuan fish and crispy beef are to die for!
Visited Yuan Tung after a couple of years. Its still exactly the same. Cosy yet dingy. The food was also the same taste. However realized how small their soup servings were. Do visit it for its crispy beef!
Eating at Yuan Tung is like tome travel. The food and decor is straight out of 60s-70s.Go feed your nostalgia.
Less quantity ,bad in taste , staff is like drunk and not cooperative , with high rates if i compare with New Little China
Over the time it has become expensive..And simultaneously the servings have shrunken. Other than it is my favorite Chinese eatery.
Delicious food. Best squid dish in the city, decent prawn and beef chili dry (2 separate items). Passable service. The decor, lighting and hygiene desperately need an update though. Worth it just for the food.
Classic old school Chinese, never changes
Nice Chinese restaurant
Absolutely lousy food. It is not good anymore. Its interior is dingy looking as well.
Awesome taste and never change.
Delicious food. Rustic old charm of Chinese restaurant - it is like stepoing back in time.
Very nicely cooked food and delicious
Did a take out a couple of days ago and paid around 14K but the food was really mediocre if I am being generous with my feedback. Being brutally honest: the food was just bad.Chicken chilli: 3/10 -- blandChowmein / special chowmein: 3/10 -- blandBeef chilli dry: 8/10 -- the only good thingKung Pao: 2/10Stir fry vegetables:0/10 -- stir fry veggies mean crispy vegetables stir fried in some kind of sauce. Not really a curry.Service was quick. Accepts credit cards which is good.No one picks up the phone to order ahead which is really a customer service issue that can easily be fixed.Downgrading from 5 stars to 2 stars.
Service was ok, which is saying a lot as service is usually poor in restaurants. Food was on time and taste wise ok. Not amazing. I think it is run by Chinese owners. Interesting to see hotpot on the menu. Didnt get to try it as we were invited here. Would recommend it to anyone wanting to try something new.It wasnt busy - we had gone to another Chinese place but it had a wait of 1hour for a table. Only street parking.
Its the best Chinese option you can ever have. Same taste, same service, same standards since decades. Its always amazing to be here.
Very old restaurant with good name in quality but now not good
Excellent Chinese most authentic
Food was fine but ambiance was just ok....dim lights like traditional chinese restaurants
Good and tasty food ...but unnecessary expensive with no reason
A family restaurant that has been pleasing the taste buds for at least 3 decades
Dont want to rate anybody low but here i am sorry. This is one of the oldest restaurants of Karachi but they failed to update and upgrade themselves. So if you still want to experience as how we used to eat Chinese in 1980 then you are going the right place
The quality of the food is very good, just that they need some improvement in terms of cleaning the dishes.
One of the finest Chinese restaurants in the city with some excellent dishes and equally properly cooked with nice variety of soups.
May not be the best chinese restaraunt in Karachi but never disappoints.
Very good food. Ambiance is ok.
Food is good service is fast. Overall a good family restaurant
Always excels in both food & quality
Authentic Chinese. Love the food. The only thing that I dont like about this place is the smell of damp air from the old AC units.
Great food always! Getting bit pricier
Good food which is reasonably priced.. Tasty and good serving size. Gives good value for money
Good food reason able pricing
Excellent Chinese restaurant. Tasty scrumptious food.
Hardcore Chinese food. Good place for Chinese cuisine lovers.
Too expensive by appearance not worthy by taste not worth those rate list
Nice environment...authentic chinese cuisine..service is excellent and food is fresh...must try red hot and sour soup
Lovely food
Seriously good food. Place needs a bit upgrading but good service
Noemal quality services and food
Way too expensive and taste is average to below average. Chinese Dumplings costed us 1000 rupees and they barely had any filling. Also, they charge 1000 rupees just for a plate of rice that has to be shared between diners. They are profitting too much.
Very nice place good ambiance reasonable rates
Service has become slow
The only oriental cuisine, I am a fan of.
Very nice Chinese food
One of the old Authentic Chinese restaurants in Karachi. The food is good. Its quite old. There is lack of freshness in the atmosphere. The waiters are lazy and laid back.
Very nice . Good ambiance and good environment as well. And any one is prawns lover should go there and have extreme kind of prawns there. And value of money was also good. Because Chinese food is always expensive. In pk . Any ways i loved that place and its highly recommended from my side.
Rates to high. Food not so good
Food is excellent; ambience needs a lot of improvement
I loved the food and everything, but one simple minour detail is that whenever they open the family area they look forward to the outside not the family area. So please improve it, outhorwise I will give this place a star only
Good food and very fine place to have a peaceful lunch or dinner. Reasonable price and food full of taste.Food 8/10Service 8/10Ambiance 6/10
Real chinese food and taste in Karachi, the serving is decent.
The taste of the food was nice but it was not as hot as it should be.
I had lunch there. The food was delicious. We had their special soup. The quantity is adequate, staff is courteous and service is good too.
Great food and nice ambiance
One of the best Chinese Restaurants in the city. Its for those who prefer fine quality food. Their decor is a bit retro but thats what makes it charming. They know how to make good food. If only they delivered
Yuan tung, is bringing a knife to a gunfight with its generic cuisine and average ambiance. The food is bland and the staff is not interested in making it a pleasurable experience. It doesn’t help if the parking turns into a puddle when it rains
I am writing this review while sitting here and eating God knows what in the name of Chinese food. Utterly tasteless, had to return prawns because it was straight out of Khewra salt mines. There is a reason why people and places retire when their time is up, its a wrap for you Yuan Tung.
Expensive no value for money
Been going there since I was a kid. Still the same great taste. A good place to eat Chinese at a decent price.
Promt service. Good food
Good taste, but very costly...
Consistent Pakistani Chinese offering known for its hotpot soups. Great value for money and always a dependable choice for Chinese food. One of their best offerings is the bar b que squid if you are inclined to seafood. Definitely on my order list whenever I visit or take my foreign guests (who find it different from Chinese food elsewhere in the world).
