Khyber Dodai is a good cultural food place. Their ambiance depicts rich Pashtun culture with their cuisine. I liked their food quality and taste but the bad thing was I had to climb 3 floors to get to the place . Overall experience staff generosity and design ambiance all was good I recommend this place to my friends who are tourists and looking for a good food in F6 Islamabad.
Khuber Dodai is in F6 , its a beautiful placewe ordered Special platter with with Lamb Makhni handii must say its an expensive place and portion size is less compared to pricesspecial platter costs us 3333 and its only for 3,4 people it has 2 Batair , Malai boti , Seekh kabab , Champs , Reshmi kabab , chappal kabab, Rice etcand size of Makhni handi was also less and it costed as around 850i have attached the Bill belowbut their ambience is great and taste is also great
There are many restaurants in twin cities that offer shinwari type of food but Khyber Dodai stands out.The service, ambiance and taste are just excellent. Shinwari namkeen is my all time favorite. In my sons rankings, it is his number one place to dine.Would love to keep coming again and again.
Food was fine i wont say good. but the sitting was worst. the couches were dirty, i am sure they have not been sanitized since the spread of virus. plus there were no doors to the cabin this made the cabins very cold, food also quickly became cold. i dont think i will want to go there again.
One of best shanwari in the town but need more imporvement according to food taste other than that nice decorated and cultural and cozy place for friends and family
The food prices are high, while quality of good and services are normal...any how not bad restaurant.
Good service, tasty food. Kebabs were a little too soft coz of excessive fats... rest delicious. Healthy serving and value for money
Good taste. Cool sitting. Should have lift is the building for old age people
Khyber Dodai is a must for you if you love Desi cuisine. They always have excellent taste and are affordable as well. And their rooftop sitting and traditional rabab music just makes the desi experience even more fun.
Absolutely loved the lamb/dumba karahi.Best lamb karahi in Islamabad.Kabuli/ Afghani pulao is just okay.Place is good for families too, nice seating arrangements.Pro tip: Order on call before coming as it takes 40-45 minutes to cook the lamb.
An average place for having Afghan and KpK cuisine. Meals were also average with reasonably high price. Very welcoming and courteous staff.
Food quality is very goodSpecially their chappal kabas and mutton karahi
Food was tasty but wait service need to improve...
Best meal in Islamabad. Lamb karhai and Afghani pilau is mind blowing
Great food, Landi Kotal Karahi is a must to try. Nice environment.
Terrible food. We went for lunch. We had ordered Shinwari karahi. It was extremely salty, and they had boiled the meat. Not recommended at all. Overpriced and over rated.
Serving Traditional food like painda , Karayee . Expensive
Good ambiance but unfortunately the prices are sky high - the taste is just acceptable! Regular soft drink (250ml) for Rs. 110 is a rip-off.In short, a disappointing visit - never again!
I visit to day Khyber Dodai ... Its not my first time but I ordered Dum pokh for the first time and Chicken boti. Food was ok , ambiance is nice. They cooked Dum pokh with sweet potato and by asking , they told me , there are no other potatoes Ava in Mandi so they use Sweet potato. Really . Sweet potato turn the dum pokh tasteless.Rest there service is good and on time.
Awesome lunch at Khyber dodaiAnd like wreta tikka
Awesome place and food taste was good.Ordered chicken karahi, chicken chapli kabab, beef chapli kabab, chicken malai boti with afghani roti, podina chatni, and fresh salad. All items taste was so good except chicken karahi. At the end Sabz Qawa with Gur and lemon was served. It was also good.
Food is freshly made. Taste was good. Sobat is a traditional dish with soup-soaked bread. Angara chicken was tasty salted barbeque. Chappal kabab was well made. All the dishes are recommended. Rooftop seating gives fresh air and marvelous views of margallas. Live pashtun music adds to the ambiance.
Very good staff and very delicious food. My advice try their yoghurt
Good food and decor. Go on the rooftop to enjoy authentic khyber bbq.
A nice place for Sohbat! Love it
Good taste specially Plater is extra ordinary goood.
Nice place and tasty one but rates are very high.
Quettas dodai tikka is better.
Dumba karahi and chapli kabab awesome
Sumptuous authentic shanwari. A bit higher on prices. Call before going to avoid let Ng waiting.
A good place to eat lunch or dinner with family. A fun place for families with live music and traditional style and touch of khyber pukhtunkhaw. Variety is limited but of good quality. BBQ is delicious and some are mouth watering. Visit and enjoy.
Best local food in town. Very traditional atmosphere. Specially Dumba Karhahi and Namkeen Tikka
Very expensive and food quality and quantity not satisfactoryWaiting time in this weather is unbearable
Takes much time for getting your order ready otherwise quality of food is good
Tikka were cold, un-chewable. Shinwari karahi was full of red chilli powder. Sheer waste of time and money. BAD FOOD
Nice Food but if someone want to enjoying Pathan culture then must visit and sit on top.
Good and quite place to visit. Hygenic food and refreshing environment.
The most amazing lamb chops in the Capital.
Very good food and the option to sit on carpets is excellent maybe increase the floor booths
I have ordered Namkeen Karahi, but sorry to say the soul of نمکین is totally missing. Really disappointing .
Food quality zero,no taste, services zero, Ill never suggest anyone
The costs are too high and taste was not matching at all.
Wow wow wow,I visited the same place 3 yrs back but this time it was out of this world experince. Got the freshly prepared mutton karahi and chops (dum). Both the items took 1 hour and 10 mins for preparation but trust me it was great. Must try chops with dum to make them tender.
Great place to have dinner with family and friends. I tried their chapli kababs and kehwa. Indoor and rooftoop sitting available.Rates are comparatively high.
Private dine in experience with live rabab in the background. Takes about 1 hour for food to arrive, overall good experience
Very Colorful and Unique Decoration. Good food though service can be improved.
Nice place with traditional pakhtoon ambiance. Tried mutton Rosh and it was really good
Great food!! Great ambiance!!! Must go to place if u have tourists accompanying. We ordered pata tikka, namkeen tikka , namkeen chops and namkeen karahi... food was awesome
Their fish, bar-b-q and kabuli pulao are the best. Roghni naan were really yummy, soft and buttery. Chapli kabab was huge in size but very bland. Their buffet is also worth the money.Overall it is a good place for shinwari lovers.
Food were tasty, nice ambience with Pakistani music as live band.
Best food specaily Sobat of Desi chicken. Interior decoration is very nice traditional type. Must visit restaurant.
Afghanistani Tikka was not cooked properly, Lamb karahi was good.
Good place specially roof top has very good view of margalla hills
Good taste & environment but on 4 floor with so many stairs
Love the taste.
Good food, reasonable price and quick service
Khyber DodaiThough the steps leading up to the place can be a bit much, it doesnt feel that long because of how well decorated and fun the approach is. Khyber dodai is a restaurant specialized in making you eat until you can no longer move; which you dont really mind cause of the great view and setting. The Shinwari Namkeen Mutton Karahi is absolutely delicious, with bits of charbi melting like butter in your mouth. (And this is coming from a spoilt burger bacha who normally cant stand mutton. If youre like me, dont worry! This is truly exceptional) The Rosh Namkeen comes in a perfect light yakhni with bits of succulent meat and perfectly cooked potatoes, all the flavors melding perfectly in a single serving (depending on how much you eat) bowl. All of this to be enjoyed, of course, with fluffy and crisp kabuli naan. The service is excellent, well trained and polite. The serving sizes are just large enough, and for a feel of the pricetag, we fed 12 people well in just about 7000rs.Whether youre a mutton-lover or a strictly-pizza-only kinda person, this place and its food transcend those arbitrary boundaries in an experience that leaves you completely satisfied, in body, mind and soul.Short version?Idhar jao, mutton Khao, aur so jao.Ambience - 9/10Food - 8/10Rooftop pe Islamabad ki thandi hawaaein 100/10
Taste is good but price of all items are v very high
I love this place, taste is good, professional service and nice background for photography. What else you need??
This was second time I went to this place to eat and both times we like the food service and place people are very nice you can get your private cabin to sit and enjoy lovely place to eat meat not only this staff is very cooperative and they can guide you to choose of menu I like one of their bbq dumpukhat and krahi was lovely although they take time to serve your order but taste is beautiful while you are staying there you can enjoy a proper culture of pakhtun and especially live instrumental music is lovely they play rubab and wearing a pathan dresses this please truly present the taste of pukhtun rich culture in most modern city of Pakistan Islamabad I strongly recmended to visit this place and I forgot to mentioned great tea and naan bread all ate awesome
Loved it specially Kabuli Pulao..
Im very happy every thing was perfect
No taste as compare to the prices the behaviour is not good
Aweosme food delicious tastewell staff
Beautiful palace very nice hygienic food point.
Must pay a visit and try their Shinwari Namkeen Mutton Karahi, it’s highly recommended I got the taste of Peshawar today in Islamabad.Mutton karahi 10/10Chapal kabab 6/10Ambience 8/10
Food quality is poor. The quality of mutton they cook is not good. Seating is good. Not good for aged people as too many stairs to reach on roof top. Good for youth and fun on roof top. Venue Location is good.
Delicious FOOD, love the owner and also the environment is great! :)
Good taste and speciality is lamb and mutton.
Most pathetic resturent i ever seen in my life
Chapal Kabbas are good and juicy
One of the Best in Islamabad.. Lovely Food, Amazing taste, Awesome ambiance.. Landi Kotal Karahi is love, Pata Tikka is one of the best and Mutton Tikka ️.. Highly Recommended
Food is verry bed and west of maney
Not good... Cant compete with other local same cuisine
Great time Great food Great place
Khyber Dodei restuarant is one must have experience at Islamabad the natural green city.
Amazing venue all 5 stars for the whole setup and interior. Awesome food and taste. A must visit place for everyone.
Their beef boti is a must try...lamb karahi was ok and chappal kabab was so so
Very very expensive but no taste if you wana enjoy namkeen dumba karahi the typical lamb karahi and lamb bbq please visit purana shinwari Kamran market opposite to jahangir restaurant sadar rawalpindi his taste is better than this, these guys have nothing except clean environment worst taste they dont even know what is a typical shinwari or dumba karahi. My worst experience with them.
Food is amazing view is amazing specially painda and landi kotal karahi
Wonderful restaurant having delicious food ️
What a great cultural place to be. Best North Western cuisine is prepared fresh. The food is ecstatically fresh and mouth watering.Beef kebabs, mutton karahi are stellar, with too good presentation.Suhbat is chicken mixed with bread and curry which is really satisfying and finger licking.Lemon soda is weak as its not North Western Pakhtoon item. But nonetheless one of the best foods and dining address of Islamabad.
Tried painda and chappal kabab, taste was good
Roof top restaurant. Great food with nice sitting area. Mutton Karahi and Chicken Boti is really good.
Food Quality is Good. Service is very good. Food is available at minimum price.
Nice Kabli traditional tasty Dishes, specially lamb BBQ
Food is awesome, finding such traditional dishes of FATA and Baluchistan with taste that good is difficult.Live music increases the ambience.Need to manage the roof top settings a bit.Staff needs training for serving and taking orders.Best for groups and families.Do not forget that u have to go through a narrow staircase to go to the resturant.
Every thing from service to the namkeen tikka to karahi and to their special platter was top notch! We were a group of 13 friends who are lamb meat enthusiasts (lol) and travel frequently to peshawar just for namkeen tikka as well as try out various shinwari places in/around pindi and Islamabad and we simply loved our experience at khyber dodai.
Place is good for visit with friends and family. Prices are reasonable. Food was also delicious but there was a hair in rice which spoiled the whole image. Ask your workers to use caps to maintain quality and hygiene.
So good atmosphere with delicious taste
Always came for dinner during my visit to ISB (worth visiting them)
Yep it was ok. NO WHEELCHAIR ACCESS. and Elderly people specially with joint paint patient cant visit this place its on 2nd and 3rd floor.
Hidden among small shops in the Markaz, this is a delightful authentic experience. From the painted trucks of Pakistan decor to the delicious Pushtoon cuisine, this is a must experience for tourist and national alike. Service is good and the restaurant is clean and spacious. visit was enjoyable. Khyber Dodai offers the best Afghan or Peshawari food. There Chapal Kababs are the best in town. Also the service is extremely good and courteous as well. You must try their Lassi as well
Nice location music and food...love it
Pathetic service, also the taste was not good.
