Sujata hotel (pure veg)Sujata hotel is located near shivaji park. They have different types of delicacies. From Dadar station its just 15 min walking distance. There is no place for car parking, bike you can park near restaurant.Proper address :- saraswati mahal building, shop no 1&2 Ground floor, Gokhale road, dadar West (near merwans).Sujata is popular for their masala papad, pav bhaji and paneer kolhapur. You can try they veg crispy and Schezwan fried rice. So as soon as you enter the restaurant you see simple and peaceful ambience. As soon as the sanitization process we quickly order paneer chilli, which 2-3 people can easily have it and its good to go as starter. Big paneer dice deep fried and toss in gravy garnished with spring onions. Paneer was crispy and soft and the masala gravy was bit spicy but taste was good. 4/5Next we order paneer handi which was good to go with tandoori roti. but quantity wise it was less as compared to price. good for 2 people paneer was soft and and juicy with rich gravy add with butter. 4/5My paneer craving forced me to order paneer pulavWhich was a good decision atleast this time handi was little bit big good for 2 people. Pulav with peas and other veggie full of flavours and bit spicy topped with cute paneer cubes which was deep fried. 4/5So this was my experience with Sujata hotel overall :- 4/5 Thankyou.
Nice ambience with a noisy person at the counter. Ultimately it is the food that counts and on the measure of taste, Sujata veg treat performs brilliantly. The taste of the food is old worldly and brings back memories of old time Mumbai. The Mumbai of the mill workers. Not that it doesnt have contemporary dishes. It scores because, I think much attention is given to taste and old time cooks are still active in the kitchen.
Seating for more than 5 (AC) is upstairs and is not made for people above 510 height.Tables didnt feel clean and cutlery on the table was dirty (it had food stains). When pointed it out, we were given cutlery from other table which was lying on those dirty table mats.Waitres, even after the whole AC section was empty insisted on sitting on particular spot. This was annoying.About food1. Thai Paneer - It was good, it felt more liek Kokni dish than Thai but still it wasnt bad.2. Paneer Chilly - this was also really very good.3. Paneer Kolhapuri - Tadka of giant chilli overpowered the taste of whole dish and it burnt the throat. Still if we ignore that, it was good.4. Tandoori rotis were good too5. Pot rice - this was good and came with greavy. It was all mix vegetables in the rice. Tasted good.6. Cream of Mushroom - This soup was bad.Card payment was accepted.Service wasnt a good experience and lack of hygiene worsened it.Surely wouldnt visit again and would rather try other options nearby.
Great place to eat. Little crowdy. Good cleanliness. Slightly on the expensive side.
Reasonable rates with worthy taste and also have a average ambience. In dadar location this is worthy hotel with quick response after order food.
Its has best food quality in Dadar area ...all menu are oil free and in best cost...u loved to visit it everyday
Worth every dime you spend. Not only south indian dishes, but even Chinese cuisine is becoming their speciality.
Sujata Veg Treat situated at the junction of Gokhale Road (N) and Ranade Road, has been one of the oldest restaurants in the area. Good for south Indian and Punjabi delicacies. Paneer dishes are quite tasty and paneer itself is of really good quality. Usually crowded on week-ends.Service is good. Staff is clean, sober and helpful. The ambiance is good. Sitting arrangement is also fine. Has washroom attached.Surely recommended for dine...Dr. Prasad Akolkar.
It is nice to have food in such hotels that make your day good.
Hotel is good for family and friends. Its pure veg hotel and fully air-condition. Approx 700 rs for two people. Earlier food taste was good but now a days food taste is degraded. Earlier you have to wait to get a table but now a days due to metro work its almost empty. I will give 5 star for cleanness but for food giving 3 stars and no charging points are available for mobile.
Ordered South Indian food. Rava Sada Dosa found ok but plan Butter Uttapam was absolutely not proper. Our second order was Dahi Vada. Vada was hard like a stone. Service good. Hygiene good.
I have been a regular customer since a long long time. But lately the food quality has gone down drastically. Also, when i ordered sabzi lasooni, i was given mix vegetable. Service not good like before.
Very nice. Cheap and good..
Food was good.. one should visit once..
Since last 15 years satisfied our expectations
Food taste and food quality.. There are many restaurant nearby this place.. I really found the food taste to be average when compared to other restaurant in the area..Service.. This seems best.. people will listen to you and acknowledge your order soon.Ambience.. Ambience is good.. good use of dim yellow lights.. I loved it...Note. I only had evening snacks here.. so my experience for food is honestly based on experience having evening snacks..Thank you
Need to improve quality of food and service and behavior of waiter
Sujata treat located in dadar gokhle road, hardly 5-10 minutes distance from shivaji park. One of the oldest restaurant in dadar. Its a pure veg restaurant which is average, but they have a great food menu with options available. It is pocket friendly restaurant with respect to quantity of food. But yeah a normal place, food is delicious and service were on time with warm staff..Ambience was not that attractive but good..We ordered1) Spring RollIt was super crispy and tender rolls, crunchy from outside with a spiced vegetable filling..one of the best appetizers2) Pot RicePot rice was usual in taste, rice was well cooked, it was yummy..3) Sujata treat special makhni sabjiIt was red gravy topped with cheese served with garlic naanOverall a good experience..Food: 4/5Ambience: 3/5Service: 4/5
The review is because I had visited there and tasted the food. Its really very good. And other reason was that my Father works there so I have to give it 5 stars....
It was Good experience nice service
Best place for Indian food!
Simply awsum
If you looking for something feasible and of good quality this is the place for all kinds of Indian food.Quantity and quality is good. Price is nominal.Service is A class. Waiters are humble. Quick service. Waiters also talk nicely.
Good for short meets and snacks
Highly disappointed!! This is the second time I have ordered from this place and the food was lacking in flavour. Neither the parathas nor the veg kolhapuri was palatable. Would think twice before ordering from this place.
Neat and clean place ,taste food
Found cockroach in the food. That also in jain food. Please dont go to this restaurant unless you want to eat non veg food. Dont waste your money. W have been to so many restaurants. Never faced this. How can they give food with cockroaches. Their definition of jain : no onion , no garlic , no potatoes. Only cockroaches.
We visited this restaurant almost 5 Years Ago & thought of revisiting it. We revisited it yesterday. The service was horrible. They dont even serve. When we asked the waiter to serve they said it was Self Service. But then too the waiter served. He served the biryani all over the plateI cant imagine how could anyone go possibly wrong with Paneer Tikka Masala. But the dish was weirdly sweet. The same was with Veg Handi. The quality of food wasnt great either. When we ordered Kolhapuri Biryani we specifically mentioned to make it little spicy. But then too it was sweet. Also the rice was overcooked.Starters were fine. They dont even give finger bowl If you are near Sujata just Cross the lane & Eat in Apoorva. Its far more superior in terms of quality, taste & ambience.
Good food. service is also good. But crowded at pick hours especially during weekends n holidays.
This is my childhood days restaurant initially for many years this restaurant had same taste and quality really awesome n famous for its south indian style punjabi dishes but since their cook changed food has been average really miss my 5 star rating hotel of old days rest all aspects are excellent
Although this place is very famous amoung Mumbaikars but I personally didnt like the food here.
Good test...must visit
The food was worth the money
No......No test. I eated paneer handi and veg kholapuri
This place has lot of food options. As per the name its purely veg. We had dosas , dosa was pretty okay , sambar was very oily and chutney was bit watery. Next was pav bhaji , pav was a hard but bhaji very good. Chola bhatura was good. Though chola was not the authentic one but tasted good. Juices were nice . Fresh lime soda was mentioned to be sweet but it had no sweetness. Service was good.
Its ok place to visit. Not that good for fine dining experience.
Very nice food
Good veg restaurant with delicious Punjabi,South Indian and Chinese Dishes. Central location near Sena Bhavsn , Dadar. Speedy service.
The place is really known for its veg food and does have a good ambience. Its on really busy road but does not affect you while having your food. You have two options either you can have your food in the restaurant or you have another permit room which offers you hard drinks and other exciting starters. The service is really very good
Neat n clean
Its good. Very neat and clean
Good food test
Good food...
I have been going here since I was 8. Fav place for family dinner or snacks. Dahi vada, cullet , misal, paav bhaji, milkshakes are some good things to start with... Fast service!
Nice place, great food at reasonable price, not a typical flashy ambience.
This place is quite good for vegetarians because this restaurant is pure veg...the place is crowded on weekends because of the amazing taste and a reasonable price
Good taste. Quick service. Medium quantity and waiters are always surrounding you :/ . Prices are not very low but not high either
Favourite joint to have breakfast and lunch! Paneer Bhurji, Paneer Butter Masala are must try dishes!
Good service. Clean. Tasty choices. Keeps busy almost all day long.
Polite staff with tasty Food items(Only Veg),you can select from Menu Card.
Good food. Tasty coconut chutney. Sambar a bit sweet probably needs an improvement.
Using sugar in Sambar making the typical Gujarati preparation. Those who love south Indian taste please avoid south Indian food.
Taste, service and rates are very good. You dont easily find a decent restaurant near the station in Dadar! So this is an important place that way! :P
Good and affordable place to have vegetarian food in dadar. The cleanliness and ambience is okayish okayish. Card is accepted here .
Nice place for family getaway ..South Indian specialistFood quantity and quality both are pretty goodAmbience is ok ok
For this take out veg biryani, we asked the owner at the counter to include pearl onions served with same dish when dine in. He promised it but I opened pkg and it was not there. This week we visited this Restaurant daily as we are out of towners, and he recognizes us very well. But no courtesy at all. I am really angry. I will mention it to him next time and want to see his reaction. Fhaltu customer service
Zomato gold not available. Food is tasty and quantity also more. But you will face parking issues as metro work is in progress.
Located at the corner of Gokhale Road and Ranade Road junction. Age Old Restaurant started in 1970s. Tasty Food and Good Crowd.
Nice local veg restaurant serving snacks and main courses.Good ambience and peaceful place.
Rating 3.8,big restaurant, clean,we ordered Masala Dosa, rava Dosa, quality was good, service was good atmosphere was also good.
Fine food & super fine service
Varieties of food found, but quality worst waiters untidy, ambiance also down
Nice place for a hearty breakfast. Loved their meduwada & aloowada sambar. Must visit.
Great place for family to have lunch/ dinner together. Food is delicious and is worth the price you pay. No problem of waiting outside even on weekends, there is a lot space to sit inside. Seating also offers more comfort due to sofas rather than chairs. It is one of the best Indian restaurant in Shivaji Park area.
Good veg place for dining with family and friends. We celebrate birthdays here
Good for veg. Although they dont serve spicy food. Its medium spicy what they serve
Sutaja veg treat is one of my favorite veg food restaurant... Awesome Mashroom biryani... Paneer dishes... and south Indian food..!!! Since my childhood
Always good place to have good vegetarian food
Nice ambience. Casual and comfy. Old fashioned but antic and elegant cafe and restaurant.
Amazing Pav bhaji.. awesome place for fresh fruit juices combines with either a pizza, roti-sabji or their specialty Pav Bhaji
The serving staff here has an attitude for God knows what reason... This is one place where you dont get soups...!!! The only thing good about the place is... It has a clean washroom... And the service is somewhat quick... Else neither the taste... Nor the attitude is something that could be even remotely praised about... I go with a 2/5 for this one...!
Pocket friendly n food is tasty too
Authentic food.A good place to take your famity to.Aumbience is good.
Excellent South Indian food. Must have the pav baji. Excellent service and ambiance
Good
I liked the food items here. Here veg is very good. We can go here with family and friends. Sufficient quantity with proper price. But here there is self service. Just we have tl serve to ourself. But overall its really good.
Best food in dadar. High waiting time on weekends.
The service staff was rude and not at all polite. We ordered for Indian food and when we asked for Finger bowl the waiter straightaway said no to our faces in a very rude way.Wouldnt suggest the place as the servers dont value their customers and cant provide good service and even the food did not keep upto our expectations.
Its located in Dadar west near the Merwans outlet. Good food and a decent ambience. You get South and North Indian food.
Vegetarian delicious food with good service and value for money
Best place to go out for students and corporates as well. They serve best vegetarian food in the locality.Their tandoori rotis are amazing.
Good place and complete value for money. Their Punjabi is good. We had tried Veg Handi was easily the best one I had had in a while. In the end we had Pot Rice and it was simply the best of the lot. Do try it.
Quite ok. food was tasty. But the restaurant is too conjusted.
Sujata is a vegetarian bar .. one of the rare with this combination. Its a good value for money. Food is decent quality. Decor is old and needs upgrade. 4 stars due to value for money.
Some twisted dishes I found here.... Nice service.
Food taste earlier was good now food taste getting detrioting. When I asked waiter that biryani is messy like khichdi he laughed and not exchanging or saying anything.
Good old place in Dadar. Get tasty South indian snacks. Little costly I feel.
Nice place for snacks and food.... Variety of Punjabi and South Indian dishes on offer. Good quality food for your moneys worth. Located at a convenient place with easy access.
