I’d not recommend anyone to go in the same department I went, because I never liked it academically BUT I love this university due to some factors.1) A LOT OF TREES - If you’re a nature person / or came from a village like place, you’ll literally love this place and yes, I loved it. The hostel areas has such nice grounds, you have no problem finding some therapeutic isolation for yourself.2) Main Library - I discovered Main Library in my final year and I regretted all the times I had to go back to my hostel to find a place to work and study. You’ll find a hundredth decade old manuscripts and literature in every discipline you could think of. It has good wifi facility as well has an environment to work and study comfortably.3) Budget Friendly - Yes, University of the Punjab is probably the cheapest. I could afford it myself.Why I disliked this place:1) Gender Inequality : In terms of hostel facilities, nothing is equally provided to both hostelites (Boys/Girls). For girls, timing is limited. You can’t keep a guest. Obviously some other dressing restrictions, and unusual involvement of managerial staff into your life and everything. For boys, they are not given prepared/cooked quality food. They are not provided beds. They are not provided with laundry and kitchen facility which is sad.2) Jamiat - Not a fan of Jamiat, sorry!3) Politics + Unprofessionalism on the PEAK

The college was established with the name Center for Computer Science in 1988. It was situated in the Center for Solid State Physics on the University of the Punjabs new campus. The first program offered was a year-long, two-semester postgraduate diploma for which 24 students were registered.
