Moderate, staff not coming office at time

Its a typical government department. BUT! My experience here was made much easier because of a few people working here. They were extremely helpful, very patient, and very forthcoming. Overall, very pleased.Take your CNIC, your passport, your employment contract, and your Visa. You should have your next-of-kins CNIC and your bank account details with you as well. A protectorate stamp costs 7,200 PKR. as of today. Expect to spend two hours here.And please get it done if you have a new overseas work Visa and you havent had a Protectorate insurance in 5 years.

I recently visited here for the protection of my KSA trip. Basically they facilitate those who have unfortunately any mishap in abroad and Pak govt help them in case of any incident financially or move back to homeland. This is good for every immigrant and good step from pak govt. The staff is very friendly and cooperative, if you follow the rules. Overall i am much satisfied their managment but obviously evey depart have bad eggs so it have.

Staff there is cooperative. Just do not expect a royal treatment as this is a government office and keep in mind that this process can take your full day. I am writing summary of my experience for your convenience. These instructions are for Model Town Lahore office.---- NICOP is NOT required anymore. People are still paying huge amount for NICOP but this is not required anymore.---- There are 3 phases of whole process. Reach office by 8AM and stand in first queue inside building for creating photocopy sets. A guy will take 50 PKR and create 2 photocopy sets of your documents (VISA, Passport, SNIC, SNIC Of Blood Relative) with a specific order which will only be accepted inside.Note: Do not argue with him that you already have photocopy sets. Just let him create 2 sets for you and give him 50 PKR and chill.---- At 9AM you will be moved to a room. They will take one set of photocopy and passport from you. After sometime they will return these items to you with several other filled challan forms.Note: Bring your own pen with you as you are required to sign some documents and write your phone number on both photocopy sets.---- Follow their instructions and submit 2500 for State Life Insurance inside building and get receipts. First phase completes here.---- Now go to Model Town C Block Bank Square Market and submit 2500 in National Bank (Very Crowded) and 2000 + 200 in HBL bank (Quite Convenient With Token System).Note: When you want to go to C Block Market just hire a rickshaw standing in a queue outside protectorate office. Riksha driver will take 4 people, will take you to both banks, will help & guide you to submit fee and take you back to protectorate office in 100 Rupees per person.---- Go back to protectorate office, fill an online form on computer (they will help you if you dont know how to fill form on computer), complete bio metric process and then submit your all document to an officer sitting inside waiting area. Second phase completes here. I reached office at 8:00 and at 11:30 I was free. They asked me to come back at 4:30 and get your passport back.---- At 4:00 I was there. They handed me over my passport with protector stamp and State Life Insurance Slip. Thats it.

I have been to this place twice. Its always super crowded. If you are coming to this place, i would suggest you get your documents photocopied outside (within model town as those guys know what and how copies need to be made.) and pay your fee at bank. Staff is typically helpful but when one has to deal with hundreds of folks from almost every walk of life, then it feels like a fish market.

I was counter no 4 for data entry. The officer gave me pappers for just signs. i try to read the pappers for understanding and he just start shouting at me. I request him but he keep sayig you should stay at home if you want to do this type of things. You dont have to come over here. I really dont understand why these peoples working like that. He try to show me he is my boss and i have to follow his orders. At the other hands he is here for giving us servises. Very disappointed

Very Rude behaviour of the staff.. i asked them to stamp on my paper but they refused to stamp and signature on my paper ... Again and again i asked them in a very quiet manner but they give me warning to leave the room or they will cancell my finger !!

Its super crowded. Each district or at least one division should have its own Protector office.They have made one good change that now all fees are deposited in one bank. You can deposit in the bank located in the office building or you can also go outside (designated bank branches only).You have to stand in 4 to 5 lines each of which is so long that it can take 1 hr or more for each.Some of the lines are very unnecessary. For example the photocopy line can be avoided. Some people say that the office accepts only the photocopies arranged in a specific way. Well its not a rocket science. All you have to do is to get photocopy of followings on one page:-Front of your CNIC, front of next of kins CNIC and passports first pageThen get photocopy of followings on one page:-Back of your CNIC, back of next of kins CNIC and passports 2&3 page.For some countries, medical report is also required. In my case, it was not required.You need two sets of photocopies.After that, there is a line for getting challans and forms followed by banks line. If they can allow online payments, these lines can be avoided and procedure will be very simple.I had already filled online form. But when i went for biometric, the concerned officer did not accept it and insisted that he will fill new form. Fortunately, an office nearby heard the discussion and sent me to another guy. Their people need proper training. Otherwise, dont waste time of people in filling online forms.Staff is rude but hardworking. They cant be blamed for being rude as they are dealing with 100s may be a thousand people daily. But they have to do something about the very rude Baba at entry of biometric hall. He literally humiliates anyone.In spite of many problems, 4 out of 5 stars because you can complete everything in one day without bribing anyone and without using an agent.

Its an established procedure you have to follow. Its senseless but at least you know the procedure. The staff is ok...Update:The process has been improved since the last time I came here. Some staff is nice and helpful, rest is the same. The photocopy business is flourishing well. Anyone can tell you at anytime, hey youre missing this photocopy.. Go get that first. I hope they do something about it

A place to insult would-be overseas Pakistanis. 500-600 applicants daily come here and these sensless people cant manage to get the two banks inside their building. Applicants coming from all over Punjab literally have to take Rickshaws to get to HBL and NBP for fee submission. Cant they simply delegate this whole nasty thing to Khidmat Markaz of each city?

New procedure. 21.3.2019 (better to visit office instead of thinking about online as it not effective till now)make two sets of copies. Keep original visa with you. Baba will demand at the end.now submit one set to the immigrant officer with your passport he will make it sure all the documents are complete or notthen after sometime they will print challan forms and your registration form as well as Insurance formnow deposit your insurance fees inside the office and take its receipt and challans in National Bank of Pakistan and Habib Bank. Note you can deposit in any of the habib bank branch but National Bank chalan should be deposited in the branch which is mentioned on the challan form onlyafter sometime when you paid your chanals and insurance now come back in office and go to the biometric section inside the same office they will type your registration form as well as take your fingerprint and your photo and they will print out another registration form which is the final and ultimate registration formNow submit all to a Baba ji who is very rude person ok so be careful while getting this man if he says everything is OK he will ask you wait for 4:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m.Passport protected.Old Procedure 28.6.2018Ask photocopier (inside office) to make 3 sets of copies.Submit one of set to officer.After sometime u will get registration form and insurance form filled with your data on challans. Dont write on these forms.Pay insurance fee inside office.Now deposit NBP and HBL challans in designated branches only.Finally deposit all of these forms and challans to a Baba g (very rude and hard person).Now between 3 to 4pm collect your passport insurance receipt and visa. Your experience may depend on the number of people going through the procedure on that day.More people mean more waiting time and bad as you have to wait.Have to deposit 4 challans of which 2 are of Hbl ,1 of NBP, (both banks far from here)and one state life in the same office.If there is only one payment option that could have been much better also building small and congested.

Actually it was nice place but staff is very moody.They must improve their way of conversation .Because all people is coming from different citys and most of them is little bit uneducated.Setup need only soft words to treet with them.5 stars for Nadra setup bcz It was very nice .I love their manners.

Be prepared to waste time here. Govt service you know.Takes a whole day.But you feel good at the end of the day that its done and over.

This place is just to insult the peoples who are going there for protector process. The employees are working too slow thieving the money from peoples. And there is no bank branches. You need to hire the riksha for pkr 200 almost and during the process for just go there and to pay the fees.

Rishwat free place. You dont have to bribe anyone. Just go, fill the form and pay the fees. Take your passport back at 3pm. Simple

Typical pathetic government office. You have to waste a whole day and wait in long ques multiple times in dirty and congested rooms. One star for cooperative staff.

Prior to travelling abroad on a work visa, one needs to get documents completed from your Regional BureauNecessary to arrive early in the morning as it takes a whole day to get things done. You can be interviewed by the staff regarding the reasons for going (as well as where you have worked in Pakistan, before)Necessary to bring your Passport, job offer letter, your work visa, previous work experience certificates (amongst other things) for verification.Theres a NICOP office (NIC for Overseas Pakistanis) in the building, but they charge urgent processing fees only (best to have to have your brother, father or immediate blood relation there with you else theyll have to come later to get the NICOP processed). NICOP form completion necessary as part of the application process.Youll also need to queue up at 2 different bank branches in Jauhar Town (and 1 branch in the Bureau) to submit all the fees.Finally passports are issued at the end of the day (between 4 - 4:30 PM, for same day progressing). Just be there when the shout out your name else youll have to wait till the end.Most of the crowd are people who are looking to work in manual labor jobs in the Middle East. Be ready to spend 0830 till 1630 of your day running around to get things done.
