Ambience is the best quality of this restaurant. View is the best in Lahore. You can actually have a high tea there( it is a roof top restaurant). Staff is quite active. Cleanliness is also ideal. Food is good but not the very best. One thing that I really appreciated is their sugar free desserts for diabetic people.Overall quite a good experience. I enjoyed their food on my friends money so it made the experience a whole lot joyful. You should experience at least once in your this life time. You can skip if have 9 lives. Yeah, Im talking about you Kitty Kat.

Monal is v good place in sense of Ambiance, Atmosphere,presentation, interior, feel, hygiene. It can be a good place to give protocol to your friends and family,also good option for colleagues and corporate gatherings.But if you are a person who consider taste first and above mentioned qualities after taste than its a average place. They dont know about good use of spices and sauces.

The Experience at Monal Restaurant is always a remarkable one.All the facilities and especially the food quality and food taste is just super. The view would be awesome in spring/summer but for this month it is freezing and enveloped in fog, but nevertheless they have heaters all around.The welcome and service was quite satisfactory. Thin crust pizza and manchurian were tasty but chicken steak sauce needs work.Food is expensive but I guess a get-together and going dutch would go easy on the pocket.

Well, I’ve visited monal of Islamabad too and I found that place more impressive as compared to this place. Here food quality is very nice and sitting is also very beautiful but Islamabad’s Monal restaurant is more beautiful than this one place plus one major difference these two are, at Islamabad platters are better than buffet but at Lahore, Buffet is better than platters. So I’ll prefer everyone to visit this place.

Its always a pleasure going to Monal. Such great views, exquisite ambiance, consistatly good quality of food and service. Real great and must visit place Islamabad which is now one of landmarks of the town.

And was confirmed a table within no time over the phone. Was told that its Buffet only at dinner time.The place is wheelchair accessible and has indoor hall, outdoor seating for families in the evening and the upper deck outdoor seating as well. 3 different buffet setups to avoid long ques. Very well organized to manage crowds. Live music playing with local songs in a low tone which is a music to the ears.Got to the place on time and our table was waiting for us. The ushers were very professional and took us to our table and asked me when we would like the service to start as they serve the Cheese Naan and BarBQ right off the oven on the table. Went for the Chicken Corn Soup for starters, the soup is ok and cannot be compared to the Chinese restaurant quality. It’s very desi yet satisfying. Next the Cheese naans arrived, piping hot and spicy. Very delicious.While seated, the mains started arriving. Lahori Fried fish came next, crispy and fresh and I couldn’t ask for more. Next came the BarbQ, Seekh Kebabs, Chicken Boti and Chicken Cheese boti. Very nice and perfectly spiced. The serving staff was very courteous and they kept bringing the fresh food on the table and I was stuffed. Suddenly I realized that they have a buffet setup as well and I have yet to venture for that.The Afghani Pulao was very nice and so was the mutton ginger (I relished the tender mutton pieces). The Paalak Paneer was nice and enjoyable with the fresh Naan and roti served on the table. I was full to the brim and could not venture for the other offerings which looked great. The deserts were Mousse (BlueBerries and Chocolate), Gulab Jamun (Sharqpur style and taste), Bread Pudding, Fruit Custard Trifle and Fresh Jalebis and Vanilla Ice cream. Monal Resturant is situated in Gulberg.If you move from motorway plz use thokar interchange to jail road underpass or directly jail road then to Siddique Trade Center to Kalma Chowk and very next is your destination.Main point is its outlook as its location is 10th floor roof top.But real chill of roof top can be enjoyed when there is normal weather sep,Oct,Nov,Feb,Mar, April .If we discuss its taste its awesome.People normally like due to its wonderfull buffet.There are about 55 dishes in buffet now a days rate is 2200 per head.Very good point of buffet is give 10% discount on non food waste.

First of all the parking is not an issue. The ambiance and hospitality is outclass. I was wondering that they may not be equally good to the Monal Islamabad but I must say that not just equally good but, in some dishes they are slightly better. The management did a good job having same setup even the grills are of same structure. I miss their buffet Sunday brunch but, will try next time.

Buffet variety is good though only a couple of quality dishes like BBq and fried fish. They offer 10% discount if you do not waste the food and finish your portions.

I tried their hi-tea. They had limited food options, but the taste was good especially fish and fettuccine. I was not happy with the dessert bar, everything was tasteless, pastries were dry. Hence 4 stars.

Tried Hi-Tea and a-la-carte, food was just average and one thing I want to highlight is management team needs to work more on everything. Before coming for dinner I called them whole day on the numbers provided but not a single call got attended and secondly they donot adjust at the place where guests want to sit even if there is availability and they only have to combine two tables together just like monal islamabad management.

The place has an amazing view the location is prime you would love to dine at the roof top with an amazing view. Me and my wife has a buffet and it was amazing the food was good and the place was clean so was the services they waiter comes and asks you of you need anything provides you what you need.Make sure your plate is clean and you dont waste any food if you dont they will give you a 10% discount and if you waste food they will charge you Rs 2 per gram per wasted food.

Monal was one of those place about which I had heard mixed reviews.We were three persons so we ordered Pakistani Platter and Kabuli Platter. Pakistani platter included Biryani, tikka pieces, seekh kabab, raita, chicken salan, one naan and 3 gulab jamun along with one drink.Kabuli platter included Kabuli Pulao, chicken chilli salan, chapli kabab, seekh kabab, raita, naan and brownie along with a drink.We order one naan and one drink extra.All the dishes were quite good but Chapli kabab and tikka pieces were on the top.Each platter was around 800 Rs (I dont remeber the exact amount) The total bill was almost 2000 Rs.Mint margarita drinks were complementary.The best part of MONAL is the View you get to enjoy while having your meal.

I liked the decor and envoirnment of the place. The car ride to the top floor was exciting too. But you can use the lift as will. The food tasted good, although I didnt taste everything in the Hi tea menu. Liked the brownie and vanilla ice cream combination. Fried fish pieces were good(not spicy). Only thing I didnt like was mint margarita. It was not fizzy at all. People can go and enjoy both roof top and in door.

Chinese Food and Deserts are Excellent, they need to improve on Coffee, and Local Cousins recipes must be improved, Fresh Kebab Frying is excellent idea but the person frying fries it and keep and re-warm for serving

The plaza is multi story building with multiple parking levels and the restaurant is on the top floors. Amazing view and also the buffet is quite sufficient and with a wide variety of Asian and Pakistani dishes. Its a Romantic place for couples and even for family gatherings.

We had buffet there at 9:15 and the food quality was very poor. I DONT recommend people to take atleast last buffet of the day.

We enjoyed our 33 year anniversary at Monal tonight. It was a great experience with fantastic views from the rooftop. The service was very good, the place was clean and the food was very good. I tried some of the Pakistani desserts and it was lovely and sweet. My husband asked for a special cake for me for our anniversary and they brought out cake, sparkler en played some bells - it was very special! The cake was heavenly - compliments to the chef. Open air Roof top idea in one of the worlds most polluted cities is something very daring to me.There is nothing much to see and cheer in such hazy atmosphere.Rather one go in depression that how dirty and risky it is.Food quality is just ok as compared with outstanding rates.I mean one can easily check the size of mutton paye almost equal to that of a healthy chicken.I cant say sadqay walay bakray. But chaanp size was questionable.
