Very much true Chinese, top class food options and taste is very original. Desi Chinese lovers may not like it but this is real Chinese experience. Extra ordinary spicy as Chinese food should be. Sizzling chicken and salted fried prawns are the best. Hot and sour soup was excellent. Don’t worry about ambiance, food makes up for everything missing.

Id flown into Karachi from Riyadh, to spend Eid ul Adha with Mom and I decided to take her to an authentic Chinese restaurant on the 2nd day of Eid. The very well trained waitress explained the menu very well & made suggestions for my mother, who ended up getting the sautéed fish. I got the noodles with chicken & we added stir fried vegetables which included cauliflower, etc. The kitchen was behind a huge glass wall, in front of the main restaurant entrance & was spotless, manned by 3 cooks, 2 of whom were Chinese, male & female. Let me just say that this is the best authentic Chinese restaurant that you can go to in Pakistan. I had a blast & my elderly mother found everything that wed ordered to be absolutely delicious. For those wanting Basmati egg fried rice or some Desi Chinese flavor, theyre welcome to continue not to challenge their palate at the myriad of Chinese restaurants found all over Karachi, but I doubt if theyll ever be privileged to taste any kind of authentic Chinese dish, such as those served at Long Cheng Chinese Restaurant ! Been there twice with chinese mates. This one is closest to authentic chinese foods that satisfy both local and chinese people. Never had such reviews from chinese mates for any other restaurant in town. Been to china 3 times and this restaurant has tried to match both chinese and local taste. Luckily ive been able eat all the dishes we ordered whereas im a bit careful eating in china

Really good authentic Chinese food. Although I did find many of food items to be a bit bland and tasteless but I loved the lemon chicken, spicy beans, and eggplant. Service quality was excellent and loved the experience of dining in a separate room (available for 8 people or more). The food does take a long time to be prepared and served though. But the taste of the food makes the wait worth it. The location of the restaurant itself is terrible though. At night the street is pitch dark and feels unsafe with little to no lighting outside the restaurant. Damage to the pocket was pretty high but then you cant expect great food to cost peanuts!A note of advice to the management: please dont deviate from authentic Chinese cuisine just to accommodate to accomodate local pallets! There really are no restaurants in Karachi that serve AUTHENTIC Chinese food.

Good Ambience, well trained staff. Menu is too big but the waitress explained everything in a professional manner. Chicken Corn soup was the best I had in years. Main course was awesome, real authentic Chinese restaurant unlike Ginsoy. Saw the chefs/cooks all were Chinese. Prices are on the higher side but the quantity is also big. So its better for large groups to come & feast over here. I will definitely come again.

Good food but really slow on service. We ordered steamed fish which wasnt ready for 45 minutes. Then we asked to cancel it as all our guests were done eating. However, they kept on pursuing that it be added on the bill. Finally the waiter requested to put it in the bill as he would have to pay for it otherwise. Pathetic service.

We had arrived at Friday night around 10pm.Our order was taken after 20 mins because they had less waiters.Okay understandable....But when we have ordered 3-4 dishes.Only one dish arrived after 45 mins.The waiter was completely ignoring us and was asking us to wait.I went upstairs to the reception and met the Chinese owner, turns out they did not inform the kitchen about our order .What nonsense is this?!?!Then the order came after 5 mins which is practically impossible for a chef to make it this fast.Turns out the food was tasteless and undercooked.This is a so called authentic Chinese restaurant.I can see from their service.Then I went up and showed him the food and asked him to try it.I was was so tired by 11:30pm.That I decided it is better to leave then talking to them.The hilarious thing was the Chinese owner says you have to pay for all the dishes.Wow salute to the owner.I know a lot of Chinese consulate members and have informed about you and your pathetic place.

Food is good but prices are little high

The service was extremely slow we were served one dish in half an hour and one dish in an hour. The stir fried beef had alot of salt. The chow mein was literally boiled oil. As I am currently writing this it has been one and a half hour and one of our dishes is still not served. The food was not bad and the service was extremely slow.

Although I am crazy fan of this place, the game has gone down from good to average.

A new restaurant with a very cordial and cheerful staff. The food was sumptuous and the quantity was worth the price you wont be disappointed . Hot and Sour soup was one of the best I have tasted, The crab was also great. Try it Iam sure you wont be disappointed.

Good food different dishes

Went here with the wife a few weeks back. Good place. Apparently, they have separate rooms for larger groups of 8-10+ people. We chose to sit near the entrance though, since all the rooms were busy at the time and there really is no point to hogging a 10+ people room for just 2 people.Food was great. Im not a huge fan of chinese food in general, but my wife is. And I loved the food we ordered. Quite spicy though, but refreshing for a change.Although, yes, this place is pretty expensive. Menu prices are tax exclusive. And they also add a service charge. We ordered a crab, a tofu dish, dry beef chilli, and a plate of rice. Walked out with a ~6500PKR bill.

Authentic Chinese cuisine has not been Karachi’s strong suit, that is, until now.Earlier this evening we had been scraping the internet looking for Chinese restaurants that would strike our fancy. But without much success. Then I remembered having driven by the Long Cheng location a few days ago. Once we checked out the menu online it was a relatively easy decision to check this relatively new restaurant out.Our choice of dishes included hot and sour soup, cucumbers with special sauce, fish fillet in hot oil and braised beef in oyster sauce.The verdict: this is as authentic as it gets especially coming from someone who for twenty odd years traveled to China and got hooked on real Chinese cooking.The soup was delicious. The cucumbers with special sauce (served cold) was a perfect complement to the tangy and spicy soup.The thinly shredded beef smothered in oyster sauce was a home run. The fish cooked Szechuan style (not for the faint of heart) was cooked to perfection.So kudos to the kitchen manned by Chinese cooks.The front of the house did its part by providing excellent service.This will be my go-to place when I have a hankering for authentic Chinese cooking in Karachi.

Excellent flavors. Authentic dishes. We tried dry ish shrimp and lamb chops and an unusual Agaric (?) Item (no thick heavy sauce). Private room is the preferred way to dine there. Service was friendly and prompt with a portable bell to summon help when needed. Sequence was off. With the appetizers arriving last. Bon appetit!

In city full of mediocre Chinese restaurants this is a breeze of fresh air. The dishes are enough for 2-3 people, so order accordingly. When they say Sichuan pepper, they mean it and boy is it hot. Itll numb your taste buds and set everything on fire. But good kinda fire that we Pakistanis are so familiar with. The dishes are served without sides, so youd have to pick a bowl of sides, which is enough for atleast 4 people. Go with the mind of enjoying Chinese food and not the Desi version of it and you will be blown away.

Authentic Chinese of the Schechuan style. It is very different from the desi Chinese that we are used to having here in Karachi. Most of the seating is in the basement so there is no wheelchair access there. Friendly staff and Chinese chefs.
