Nice ambiance, good and quick service. No child seat available. Quantity was OK, however, platter was not value for monay.Overall, taste was good and quantity was OK. Good for small gatherings. So many places for good picture taking.

Excellent place and excellent food. The place has recently been renovated and a new look has been given to it. The old village was based on the local Sindhi village set up. After the recent renovation and redesigning, the place gives a look of an open air Spanish set up. Ambiance, food and service are excellent. We had a wonderful time and I am a regular visitor to the place. A must visit place, highly recommended.

Village drive in restaurant is a very good option for Bar B Q.They have ample parking space with 2 small projector screens in the parking area on which they play Mr. Bean most of the times. These screens are not very clear and I think they do not serve their purpose, they should either put larger HD screens or play audio music instead, for peoples entertainment.Their menu is petite with limited but tasty options and few family platters to offer.Pricing is very reasonable and the food is always served fresh. Due to Covid-19 they are serving everything in paper boxes with disposable plates and forks/spoons.They need to improve few things like their butlers/waiters should introduce themselves and be around especially right after serving the food. Also, they should be a little bit lively and smiling.If you order Chicken Karahi then ask them to serve it well done otherwise you will have to send it back as my mom was not able to have it and I had to get it fixed.There is also a cosy sitting area with romantic candles on each table to make your night memorable.For dessert, the Kulfi is very good and they should add more items to their menu.To sum it up, if you want to spend a cosy time with your family away from hustle and bustle of daily routine in the midst of Karachi city, Village Restaurant will give you something to chit chat and smile about at your bed tea before dozing off for the day.P.S. With a Hygienic point of view, their food speaks for itself so if you visit Village Restaurant, dont worry about the posts of rotten food circulating on Whatsapp these days. Stay blessed!

We went to Village restaurant and I must say it was a great experience, peaceful and refreshing. Because of the current situation and lockdown they were serving food in cars and dine in was close. Cars were parked in the parking area and a big screen was placed for entertainment . Food was delicious and piping hot. Service was great and there was a BR ice-cream bar. Had an amazing time there. Highly recommended.

6th Dec. Came here with family and ordered multiple items. We all were disappointed by the way the owner of the house place an old lady scolded my kids for walking around and came to us and gave stern instructions for mending our kids. Later the staff asked sorry and all but the lady was not moved. Food came but we could hardly enjoy. Flavour was avg. biryani Stake and BBQ. Nothing impressive

Best of barbecue in open air in the place decorated with antique doors in the centre of the city. Here you will feel that you are away from hustling bustling of city. Food was ecellent.

Went there last night with family, the crowd was nice, families mostly.The TIKKA was FANTASTIC, it was very Tender and Juicy, just a bit spicy, and the Parathas were Excellent. However the Behari kebab and Reshmi kebab were too dry and will need improvement. Overall the Food Quality was really good, suggested to make a Hand washing area that is neat and clean . All Good. Will visit again. Prices were also very reasonable.

Great food though by no means the best. Rest of the family enjoyed it. Personally not a fan of eating in the car but thats nothing on the restaurant itself- thats on me. Ambience was great. All my favourite oldies playing on the speakers. Plus I got to relive my childhood with Mr Bean on the big screen!

During this last week had the pleasure of dinning twice at this place. On both occasions the dinner was delicious.Today morning, for the first time we decided to try the breakfast. Sorry but it was a total disappointment. I ordered paya and nan. The nan was of the previous night. Not freshly made so I had to switch to the Halwa Puri thali. There was much to be desired in terms of taste and all the items on the thali were floating in ghee. First and last visit for breakfast to this place.

The village has created very soothing ambience for their customers. Candlelit environment with soft music playing in the background calms ones self.The food we ordered was Hot and sour soup, Chicken Shashlik with rice and gola kabab with garlic naans.The soup was good but there was something missing in it. It could definitely be improved.The Shashlik serving was enough for two persons. The gola kabab were fresh and served hot. Their garlic naan was soft with right amount of garlic and butter.We washed the food down with Mint marguerites. They were flavorful and served chilled.Overall a satisfactory experience. The bill was around 2200. Good value for money.

Serving since 1960, thats really amazing and if its still there entertaining people it simply means that it is maintain the quality. Ive been there for the first time when I was a small kid, now I am taking my kids there for the dinner and thats an amazing feeling. I would recommend strongly for everyone to go there at least once, youll feel good for sure

Atmosphere is good, however, food was too expensive and below the standard expected out of restaurant. Soup and Biryani was very ordinary in taste while served bread was over cooked. Just imagine, expensive hot n sour soup had only 3 ingredients i.e vegitable, corn floor and ketchup. Felt like throwing money for no reason.

The restaurant has been here since 1960 and I met waiters & chefs here who have been working at the restaurant for more than 20 years which was very admirable.When you go enter the restaurant it feels like going back into time when restaurants used to be nice & simple.

So had been reading about the makeshift drive in and BBQ at village restaurant at Metropole Hotel... I have always had a soft corner for the place however it has been more then a decade since I last visited it....I however, have fond memories of the live music at the place and felt nice to visit specially during winters... Today I guess was just the perfect weather... Reached Village slightly before maghrib... Found a nice parking spot... Placed the order.... Said our prayers and switched on to some good old ghazals..... I really wanted my daughter to experience the drive in concept... They served the food in about 20 minutes which is fine... We chatted a bit.... The staff in the meanwhile prepared to put on a video... The food was served piping hot... The kebabs were melt in your mouth and the tikka was perfectly grilled and super tender.... The parathas were hot, crispy on the outside and nice and warm on the inside... The movie started at 8....it was episodes from Mr. Bean.... Baskin Robins was the cherry on top.... Loved the experience and my daughter throughly enjoyed her first drive in experience

One of the oldest restaurant still surviving in Karachi which has been here since the 70s and a famous one for its Village theme and BBQ it is mostly visited by the nostalgic customer and tourists. It has an old feel to it with the decor and staff from the 70s and has not changed.

What a sigh of relief to know that this Village restaurant restores my faith in the legendary culinary chain. These guys deliver a punch full of taste and variety to serve your taste buds. The menu is exquisite and rated just mediocre so pretty much everyone can have a go and enjoy a fine dining experience in the heart of the city. however, the traffic noise from the extremely busy streets nearby do tend to get in the way of you enjoying the otherwise rich experience.
