We had a small family gathering and ordered from Chopsoy Gulshan branch restaurant. Quantity was more than ample for a plate be it curry or rice. The started platter was also good sized. Loved every bit of it. Two things stood out however; the spiced rice were spicy and fried were a bit soggy when they reached. So if you eat at restaurant they will be good but if you order the delivery be prepared for re frying the fries at home. Highly recommended for the dinner at home. Costed far less than i thought it would for 18 people, around about 10k with discount. Loved their service and quality and quantity. Cant beat the cost vs quality vs value. Beats most of all restaurants in town.
Great Chinese restaurant with awesome taste and reasonable pricesAmerican Chopsoy was the bestProtions are very big
Food quality, quantity and taste... all is awesome. Dine in service is excellent. Dine in area and ambience was perfect. The only negative thing is if you go 8 or more than 8 persons, 8% service charges of the total bill will be charged to you and this amount will also be included in 13%GST of total bill as well. Means 8% service charge + 13% GST of service charge you will be paid for extra. This is ridiculous
Place is great for chinese cuisine. Open spacious dining to counter COVID-19. Staff is very quick to respond. Will love to visit there again. In my opinion, their specialty is noodles! A highly recommend place to dine-in specially in this covid-19 era, where its hard to find the restaurant who implements all anti Carona SOPs. Kudos!!
Being an old time fellow at this prestigious forum, I have always emphasized on producing reviews that are well balanced - reflecting both the positives and negatives of any dining out experience. Over time, weve maintained this practice very religiously. However; today, Im going to make an exception and write a stereo-typically Bad review, simply because I had such an awful experience at this eatery - and now, a bad stomach as well.Mixed Fried Rice had an awful, pungent odor - it was clear that there was spoilage. Possibly, the prawns had gone bad. We returned it, our server claimed that the eggs were possibly rotten. He brought it back, supposedly fresh this time, but there was hardly a difference. We got it replaced once more, this time without any kind of meat or eggs, only stinkier this time! The odor was hard to bear, and we understood that this was by that time a lost cause. My guess is that they were reusing the same oil which was previously used to saute the rotten seafood/eggs.Complained to the manager, he called the chef to our table, and after smelling and tasting the food, both of them went on arguing about how the food was in pristine condition and how our taste-buds were not refined enough. I was simply dumbfounded and couldnt believe their conviction! The chef was particularly an idiot - kept arguing and walked away. May I please add that we were polite throughout the argument.Beef with Chilli was overloaded with salt, to the point of bitterness! We couldnt consume it either. Soy sauce on this was burnt too, adding to the bitterness. The only item that wasnt rotten or messed up was the Hot and Sour soup. It takes an idiot to screw that up.Thai Red Curry was also okay, we got it packed. There was no apology or compensation from the management whatsoever. I told the manager Ill voice this issue; we quietly paid the bill without consuming the food and left. Moreover, the serving sizes for family sized portions were those of single portions - possibly because we had used Bogo vouchers. How deceiving!May I please add that this is at least my fourth visit to this eatery, and every single time, one thing or another has gone seriously wrong. If not for convenience, I wouldnt have gone a second time.I wonder how the restaurant is surviving - serving rotten food, lying to customers so blatantly and doing so with an utterly stuck up attitude as if theyre all Michelin Star certified crew.
100% good but you shoud provide the stick for chineese so it will be more good
I think that the restaurant have to provide their own chopsticks for those who are not suitable to eat with forks or spoons, and by the way eating with chopsticks is the tradition of China, thankyou.
Amaaazing and breathtaking ambiance ️ good food and delicious soup
Worst food ever! Overly priced with bad service n quality. I was embarrassed in front of my guests.
Taste and quantity of Flfood is good and ambiance is also good
Garlics Prawns n Strawberry deliquary was best
Best chinese in pakistan!!!
Lovely food with pleasant surving
Environment is good, but food is expensive , you have to take a combo, 3K us average billing for two persons, taste is fair . Not recommended till you are fond of Chinese food.
Food was good, need a little more training with staff. Waiter was charging double on the card as he didnt know how to use card machine
The taste is good but there staff is too slow and it took them 45 minutes to serve an order which was promised to be served within 10 minutes.. Never served the mineral water but added that in to the bill.. the environment is good, decent and perfect for family, its just their serving skills which they need to work on
Staff too slow. I think only place which serves shashlik with steam rice and not fried rice. Prices too high. Not recommended.
Good, high cost, not normal visit, vinyl casual once
Good food
Food quality is good but they have started looting people by increasing prices significantly & decreased quantity of food.
The place is just fine. I would prefer Ginsoy over chopsoy any day!
Good food, ambient place
Pathetic. Poor food quality. Poor ambience. Super slow service. Overall a big NO. Waste of money
Good avg food
Food is ok but there is no sense for charging service charges if guest is 8 or more. Another thing is staff is not properly trained. They takes too much time for serving even you need a ketchup its take 15 minutes.
Its a trend in Gulshan may be in other area that make the building attractive with lighting and furniture and maintain lowest quality food like ChopSoy. Worst experience with high cost third class food. I suggest for others not waste their money and time at this bad food restaurant
Different taste, not bad
Have visited several times. Nice and peaceful sitting area. Have a clean toilet on the first floor. The place is ideal for visiting with student / colleague groups. Offer a 20% discount when u show ur student card, and an additional 8% discount if u pay in cash. However, they also charge a 8% service fee.The food is really good. Tried the beef chilli gravy and the chicken something sauce, really delicious. American chopsuey was not very tasty, was too sweet. They also have lunch deals from 2pm to 6pm daily. U can choose from 3 options amongst a basic rice/sauce/side combo, all chicken. The price is Rs380 inclusive of taxes. Pretty affordable for a decent lunch when u are on campus and need a break from the campus dhabas.Great service overall, attentive and respectful staff. And they serve free fish crackers with amazing green chatni as soon as u are seated! Also offer a refill if u ask nicely Great experience overall. Will keep visiting.
I’ve had the opportunity to have the lunch here, the restaurant’s ambience is very good and if you’re sitting in the ground floor you can literally see your food being cooked which is a new for me. So as far as the kitchen is concerned, it looks pretty clean. We ordered Tom Yum soup which was incredible, the main course was egg fried Rice with Chicken Garlic which could get better. The overall experience was fine, Would love to visit again.
Iftar experience was very good. Had a great time with family. Food quality and taste was good.
Tried the following:1. Prawn tempura - nothing esp. in it2. Hot n Sour soup (Red) - taste was good n you can try it also3. Hot n Sour soup (Black) - try at your own risk4. Chicken fried rice along with Rainbow chicken - average stuff; didnt fulfill my appetite for Chinese foodRest your decision to visit
Good Place for Chinese food lovers
One of the finest restaurants in Karachi that serves quality chuineese food. The place is designed the same as streets of China. Prices are little bit high, but definitely worth an experience.Best place to go on a date or family outings...
Good Food and Ambiance. Chicken Corn Soup was delicious.
I ordered hot and sour soup and it was all lumpy and with no shreded chicken or any sign of taste
Tadtes good. Clean and tidy place to hang out
Have loved this place since the first time I visited it. The theme of the Chinese restaurant is similar to Ginsoy. Food is great especially the Soups. Despite the high quality of food, the prices are really affordable. Ambience is good but slightly darker than one would prefer. Equally great for couples and families alike. My children love sitting next to the kitchen and watch the food being prepared. They also do delivery. Definitely worth a visit.
Worst experience ever.Worst service and food.I ordered hot and sour soup and honey coated prawns both were served refrigerated. Honey coated prawns were even cool taste like spoiled hard meat fiber. Soup sold at food street stalls is much better than that one. That was the worst meal Ive ever eaten. They took more than 30 min to serve that kind of food. I was there on Sunday afternoon when restaurants are usually not busy.I would like to give them a ZERO star rating, but the unfortunately least option available is one star. They must think about it and do more hard work for betterment.
Food is good but small portion of food
The food was good but not great I have had better taste in other places. Haka Noodles were very sour which they recommend and I didnt like it. Rice were undercooked.
First off, I read a lot of reviews prior to coming here at their North Nazimabad location. We had gotten the order to go, had a huge order. Our order accurate as we had ordered. However, their rice quality was extremely terrible, it felt like I was eating plastic. We’d gotten Mongolian beef, beef had such a horrible smell that nobody ate it and had to throw it away! Also, dynamite shrimp, oil quality was probably one of the worse one I have ever tasted. And EXTREMELY salty.Never am I going back here again nor would I recommend it. Service was good, though. While we waited for the food to be ready.
Very nice food and congenial place. Food was served fresh though they should fresh serving for crackers - they were fresh but cold.Overall lighting and environment was cool. The service and staff courtesy is great. The soup was awesome and main course was delicious - do try spicy signed chicken manchurian with rice. Good thing is they do have some kids deals as my kids do not prefer Chinese. Chopsoy is not fully Chinese, they add American touch with some spice. Good experience.
This restaurant is very best I love this restaurant I like the service of ginsoy and food
The service was excellent and so was the food. A little overcrowded though. When they say family servings they mean it. They are pretty large servings. The 8 treasures soup is highly recommended. The special chopsoy sizzler was good. Chicken bang bang is excellent. The tangy orange chicken was just right.Crispy beef (Sometimes also called blackened beef) could have been better.
It was really goood, specially their American chopsoy with perfect blend of sauces that leaves your taste buds craving for more
Average Chinese food. Not consistent with the taste. Food is good someday and not so good on another day. Can be tried once.
We oderd chowmien and it was nasty and the service was useless
Do not pack food properly for delivery and do not pay attention to the order. Got an incomplete order after an extra hour wait
Not recommended i have visited it few times before it was fine some of the menu items including soup was good thats y i visited it again however my recent visit is really baad no taste at all i asked the manangment they are good have great sence of responsibility the even revisited my shezoun chicken but was not as prevous taste. Service is good but at these place taste matters alot. Specially chinese.....it need good cheff which i think they have lost now. They should reassign or change the chaff may be to save the day..Because these type of restaurants peogess just due to taste.. environment is good staff is cooprative. Bam bou may be an alternative option for Chinese food lovers.
I can rate according to what i ordered, only soup was fine everything else was below average and cheesy wonton was disaster. They did return wontons and did not charge after enquiring and found out that we dont like it
Zabardast ️️ awesome flavor, but they need to be quick in service
Tastiest meals, mouth watering menu, cooperative Staff, best chefs ever.
Very nice ambience
No professionalism, average quality of food. And no value of money in that price where as Ginsoy next to it serves generous portions and its well worth the money spent. You need to step up your game ChopSoy.
Very good experience. Lovely atmosphere. Food was delicious. Service is very good.
Inside envoirement very bad، AC not working, all 45 minutes it was hot, AC was not working. Food was not good and no taste, service not as per mark, prices are even very high۔ Parking is a big issue۔I shall recommend not to visit this place, you will waste your mood and money including time.
Taste maintained
Great food especially the crispy beef, very tender and well cooked. Not chewy like other places. . Timely service as well
Worst Chinese food ever! They said “American Chinese” on some of the dishes and it was horrible. This isn’t really Chinese food it’s just ketchup and chili sauce!
Delicious food and decent ambiance
Very good Chinese food. I ordered chicken Tow with fried rice, was amazing. I also ordered Chowmein, and it was average. Ambiance and service was really really nice.
Very nice food and Awesome staff, nice ambiance too
The servings size was pretty good and the food was delicious. Lighting was dark which gave a good ambiance. Theres a big glass window which gives a full view of their kitchen. However, one recommendation would be to get soundproofing done and make another walkway for servers / kitchen staff to minimize the noise. Overall, a very good experience!
The menu has been designed in a not so good manner!! It does not talk about complete platters it only talks about gravies or dries and the amount which will be seved family or single!! Who does that??!! The sides were not fixed we had to order and pay for them separately... the starters were good though its better to only munch on the starters and soups but for the main course i prefer no...
Ambiance is good. Food quality is good but quantity is not enough. Prices are bit higher..
The parking is not bad. There are guards who will manage the parking. The wait time is terrible and extremely mismanaged. We had to wait more than 40 minutes and the tables were empty but not cleaned. The person managing the whole thing was more interested in eyeing the females around. The food wasn’t good at all. Their name is ChopSoy and their chopsoy was worst. These days people of Karachi travel a lot and they know good food so there is no point in trying to serve underrated food. Finally the price is not value for money. Not recommended.
A nice chinesse restsurant. Recommended for notherners
Soup was great I had a good time there
Disgusting food and service. Nothing fresh, very rude manager / chef. 2 of us had food poison and I had to take my son to hospital due to severe stomac pain. Avoid them.
Good food but need to improve service quality
I got food poisoning after eating their hot & sour. Tried it for the first time & regretted. It was extremely salty & ingredients were expired because everyone got sick after eating it. Dont go if you want to live.
It was a really good place. Food was really good. But the service needs a tad bit improvement. Overall cool.
Nice ambience. Reasonably priced great quality food. Good customer service. Overall excellent experience.
Not the best taste.
Nice food and good service
I like this place. i have visted many times. when i want eat some good chiness food so i preferred only this place and also not very expensive. mostly student visted because it is near to universities & school..
Nice place with excellent food and cheap as well in term of the quantity and the quality you get. Also remember if you are not some one with a family which eats alot just order single serving as that is equivalent to many restaurants family serving.
I have had my Chinese taste buds developed very well and was very disappointed at the greasy food ( Hakka noodles) the Spicy Garlic fish barely had any hint of garlic and the dish was bombarded with spices in white gravy. The only good thing were the prawn ball. Rest of the things were not extra ordinary. Perhaps below average.
Love this place and its ambiance. The food is amazing, plus the service is great too.
Price high but presentation good
Tastes good but the schemes on billing offered is not given and bill is always over charged.
3rd class foodNever going back again
Food is nice except for their chicken xorn soup which has way too much salt, every time.
