Love the taste and overall ambiance. One of the best place to eat food which includes breakfast, lunch, dinner. Coffee was superb and break fast was outstanding too. Staff was cooperative and most important ambiance are superb. Prices are little bit expensive but all food is value for money. Must try and recommend for dinner and also for breakfast.

Went there for desserts in the lockdown. They have a good outdoor setup with quite a decent space. The dessert was good, but drinks (mocha frappe and cappuccino) were average. Quite on the pricier side too.

Well, overall the experience was not as good as before, alot of stuff on breakfast menu was not available (two out of three things order had to be replaced). Still the ambiance is there and maybe its recovering phase after the Covid break.

Props on how helpful the staff was when we wanted a customized order. The macaroons are to die for but the dark chocolate banana tart and blueberry cheesecake were just all right.

Come in for a late lunch, so had free reign over where to sit. Both smoking and non-smoking areas on offer. Dishes ranged from good to exceptional. Stand outs would be the fried brie cheese, and the Ispahan from the dessert menu.If I’m ever back in Karachi I’ll be popping in Marcels for this macaroon strawberry filled sandwich. They also serve up a respectable flat white.

Love the interiors. Its well lit and the staff is well trained and courteous. The patisserie menu is fantastic and everything is top notch. Its the food that could be better.

The ambience was amazing, the service was also up to the mark but the food was average. I ordered a sandwich which was pretty average and was not at all worth the money. The environment was pleasant and i still might visit there but not for the food.

Beautiful and spacious, great for big groups as well as small sets of people. Has a little bit of a Parisian vibe. The menu isnt very extensive but theres variety at the same time. Lots of dessert options too :-)

Hosted a small birthday celebration at Marcels, everything from reservation to checkout was simply amazing! Mushroom Steak was well marinated and served with real mushroom sauce, every bite was delicious! Italian pizza was authentic thin pizza in the town! Dark Chocolate Tart was one of its kind! Though cakes and steaks are bit overpriced. Decoration and separate sitting area was separately charged but worth its price. Staff was courteous and well mannered.. Breakfast was just ok.. fruit platter was miserly served! Lounge and location is good.

Went with a few friends for a cup of coffee. We had their butter croissants. They tasted fresh out of the oven. The service was impeccable. Staff was friendly and great. Ambiance was chic and up to the mark. Just a small gaffe where one of the wall posters inside was a scene from Venice Italy while the place is supposed to be Paris/french inspired hahaha but its okay I guess.

Have been a frequent customer of theirs ever since they opened shop. Some things are just plain ridiculous, like the Rs.2400 burger. Others are delectable. And the ambiance is awesome. Coffees are reaply good. The cakes not so good.

Visited Marcels for breakfast last week. Very cute, French looking place. Huge boulangerie.I ordered the eggs benedict with smoked salmon which was good; eggs were done just right. My friend ordered the steak and eggs. For dessert we had the tiramisu cake. Food is overpriced. A slice of the tiramisu cake was 660 rs. Didnt get to try the croissants, maybe next time.

All that glitters is not gold truly describes our experience at this prestigious eatery. We ordered Tomato soup, Ravioli, French onion soup, Monster meat sandwich and the Parmesan burger. Though our order arrived promptly, the Tomato soup and French onion soup had twice the amount of salt and the tomato soup was definitely made from frozen ingredients, a huge disappointment, but the staff was good to change the French onion soup.The ravioli wasn’t cooked properly, it’s edges were stiff, the sauce however was fine. The Monster meat sandwich and Parmesan burger were even worse. The meat in the Monster meat sandwich had a strong stench. The bun of the Parmesan burger was soggy with too much salsa, though fries were fine. It was so sad to see the fine ambiance and decor of the restaurant going to waste if something is not immediately to remedy the situation.

The place that replaced a restruant with an absoluetly stunning ambiance, setup and design absoluetly incredible and beautiful setup. Similarly the food is delicious and worth the price.. however not really satisfied with the deserts and its tasteMacroons specially taste horrible

Must say the ambiance is amazing. Not so much anything else. Kept waiting for that ‘wow’ moment which never came.Items tried:- Coconut Prawn Parcels: these were nice, large size prawns partially wrapped like rolls. Nice to have in a smaller quantity but perhaps not among only two people.- Complimentary bread basket: the bread was not freshly baked like you get in some other fancy restaurants and some of the essentials like balsamic vinegar and olive oil were missing.- Carnivore Chicken Pizza: quite bland in what I would say which appeared to be due to lack of sauce. Had to eat with Tabasco to make it worthwhile.- Charlotte carrot cake: great tasting cake but not so impressive in texture, i.e. it lacked sponginess and the feel of a freshly baked cake.- Virgin Mojito drink: this was nice and balanced.

Gorgeous place! It has character and style. Wonderful menu, we had breakfast and whatever you wanted (mostly western ) it was there. Good quality food and service. Very calm atmosphere too.

The food was not great but the enthusiasm in the waiter and management made it worth while. The breads were good and fresh, the soup was an average starter, the main course was average to good but not excellent. The steak and sauces were a bit salty but the server kept on coming with alternative sauces and begged us to accept a new main course, but our stomach had only few millimetres of space left so we politely refused .. three of the management people came to us and apologised for the awkward taste and wanted to compensate us.. this attitude speaks volumes for the new restaurant as they are serious about their products and want to hear the customer out and want to bring them back as customers in the near future! Excellent attitude! I will definitely visit them again, if an opportunity arises!

I ordered online for butter crossaints and Almond crossaints. The payment was charged on card and I was not informed that they are delivering me half the order. I only received 2 almond crossaints and was charged for 4 of them. Very pathetic service..

It was a wonderful experience of dining in a peaceful environment. The ambiance is perfect and food too was so good. However i was not expecting to be served orange juice having seeds in it ...even after point this out next glass came with seed in it so i didnot mentioned it to staff. One more thing which was very disappointing that we got 2 different stake knives ans 2 different glasses for the same juice served to me and my partner. U need to get some professional advice on cutlery management. U can give anything in any utensils to someone but there are people who deserves a reasonable table presentation when they come for an elegant dine in.Best of luck. Hope to come next time to see if u have all similar glasses and knives or at least similar for one table if not for everyone

Three visits to Marcel’s this week; and the week’s not even over yet!I’ve finally found my dessert spot, my happy place in Karachi. And it is beautiful, inside out! The ambience is a treat itself and can easily give a tough time to all the fancy places abroad. Swanky yet cozy, vintage with a modern touch, aptly-lit and spacious; absolutely commendable. Now the desserts I’ve tried so far: (arranged in most-least liked order)1. Chocolate tart2. Chocolate éclair3. Valrhona chocolate gelato4. Crème brulee macaroon5. Tiramisu cake (aka Antoinette)6. Watermelon sorbet7. Fruit tartReal quality stuff. They’ve done what LAL’s tried to do.Food - have just tried 2 items so far. Pizza is nice. Roasted baby chicken, I’d rather have Pompei’s.Looking forward to my next visit and to fulfill my current goal in life: try all their desserts.Happy Marcel’s y’all!

Great food and excellent service. Today I was very impressed with the attentive of the servers both in helping in deciding what to pick and then also modifying the order to our taste. My favourite dinner spot in Karachi, located at the Boat Basin food street Marcels shines out the rest of the resturants in its vicinity.Beautiful dinner, well trained servers, peaceful ambience and finger licking tasty. All in all a great overall experience and totally worth the price tag.I order their sea food every once in a while nd never got disappointed, Im actually amazed at the speed of delivery to the tables. Chef Ramsey would approve! :)PS. Try their delicious cakes nd ice creams. The manager is super good nd might offer you a free scoop.

The best place for coffee and cakes. Good ambiance and great service. The staff is cooperative and fast while the presentation and food quality is amazing. A bit expensive than the other cafes but a good place for official meetings. Must recommendation if you want to just have a good coffee and relax.

Why I gave them a 2 star? the coffee is good (not great), the ambience tops everything. The baked goods such as danish pastry, croissant is their crown.We had the crepe, scrambled eggs (mushrooms werent fresh) Their main course is severely sub-standard and the serving time is slow/ the staff is good and listens (which is rare in Karachi)Also the price it charges is upmarket - the value for money is not good. But if you are in clifton and you feel fancy. drop by for the feel.

A near perfect dining experience last night in an upscale cosy environment of Marcels.The meat lovers pizza, Marcels monster meat sandwich with fries, cesar salad with chicken, grilled chicken with mashed potatos everything just tasted fresh and great.You can always count on freshness and quality of food in Marcels.Drinks were good too as we had Pina Colada and mint margarita.would recommend everybody to go experience the fine dining first hand.

Excellent breakfast in good quantity, service needs improvement though. Also disappointed how staff was being treated by management and could hear shouting and swearing from the kitchen and might be something which will stop me from visiting again. The servers are humans and should be treated likewise, if they arent doing their job with your satisfaction then fire them with dignity but mistreating is unacceptable.

Great space, location, and courteous staff. I enjoy coming here for a coffee and a croissant. However, I cant fathom why they still allow people to smoke indoors. Sadly, until they do something about that policy, I wont be coming back, nor can I recommend it.

It was a good experience over all, the ambiance is great and food is not bad either. I am big fan of breakfasts across the city and Marcels would be among my top ten. There is a slight room for improvement in the food but their staff and the environment makes up for it.

The Duck breast was poorly cooked. The skin was soggy and was not rendered. The starters comprised of rubbery calamari and oil soaked prawns.. Felt this place and all the hub bub would have warranted better quality in the kitchen. I enjoyed the breakfast the last time I visited. If you want more bang for your buck and just better cooked French food., then Cafe Flo is where you should go
