What to tell you about this place? This is an awesome place to get through to Islamabad! Btw the overall route of motorway is a remarkable achievement and facility for public but islamabad toll plaza has well organized system and its staff is also very cooperative and well beings!!!

When going towards Peshawar, there is no rush at entry point but when came back towards burhan interchange, there is too much rush in this place. Even, M Tag can not have a Special lane to move in specific lane. Anyway, overall Motorway is good for movement towards Peshawar and Rawalpindi. Recommended

The purpose of saving time on motorway is dead if you have wait for 20 min just to pay your toll tax.M-tag lane is also not managed during peak times. Purpose of having M-Tag is gone when you require it the most.3rdly, why do the people going to Lahore (from peshawar) need to wait in line to continue on the motorway again. Such waste of time for nothing.

Always traffic jam here.. Long long cues of vehicles waiting for clearance.. Need to build more cabin for collection of toll taxes.

A busy toll plaza, less than M2 Lahore plaza. Data from Hazara Motorway is not communicated to M1, so obtain a ticket when you are driving towards M1 from any interchange beyond Shah Maqsood (28S) on Hazara Motorway. You also need a ticket if desire to exit any point beyond Shah Maqsood as these exits are not connected to the network online.

Busy always. I wonder why the authorities here can not manage the E tag holder rides separately and save precious time. Even the E tag holders have to wait in long messed up ques.

Disliked that after so many years there system is not upgraded and one has to wait 10s of minutes to proceed in the queue. Faisal town which is hardly 400 meters cost you 30 Rs. Fatah hang interchange to Islamabad interchange... Too much costly

Rememberable tour of my life at first time

Far better than other tolls I have been through till now(March, 2020). Unlike other tolls, this one is completely traffic free always. Never had to stop and wait even for a single vehicle. Quick tolls transactions with efficient staff.

A good looking place but nobody likes it as one have to pay some amount from his/her pocket as motorwau toll tax but one has to use this use route to avoid rush and wind storms.

O beautiful motorway all the way to Peshawar n now out shoot to nearly all north areas. the best thing is scenery along with the in between the line they planted bushes n fruits tree which is really the best. no bean or high light from other side of cars. its made finely but need all telecom reception n service area need to be upgraded.

15 to 20 min long queues, whats the point of having a motorway if you got a spend 20 minutes in the queue to just get out of it....

This toll plaza use for Islamabad to peshawar, rashakai, Walli, ksk, sawabi, chach, Ghazi, burhan, brahma bahter, awt, fateh jang toll plaza comes between both

Busy on weekends, Facilities at rest areas are perfect especially from Lahore to Islamabad, sceneic view along the route gives you a smooth and relaxing drive. M-Tag is recomended as it saves your time. Rules and regulations are strict and fines are high so look out for spees cameras and sign boards to avoid any kind of penalty. Fog is another major issue during the months from November to Feburary.

It was so amazing journey

It is always busy on Sundays and holidays, especially while entering to Islamabad. Exit is relatively easy and crowd-free. There should be more booths, at least twice the existing number of booths.

Sunday 5:00pm to 9:00pm is rush time. It takes 20-30 more minutes to reach Islamabad from Peshawar. A mid-day travel is a good idea to avoid late hours.

Islamabad inbound traffic has as many as 10 RFID lanes among which 2 are specifically dedicated for M-tagged vehicles. Before one can enter into them, warning sign reads entry without M-tag, Rs.300 will be fined. Initiative is good, but only if the management follows it as well.

I am a regular M-tag customer,i have an objection,kindly introduce separate M-tags lines,whats the benefit when you go at the tool plaza and the barrier comes down on you,than i think there is no difference between getting a normal entry card and an M-tag.@M-1 toll plaza.ThanksKindly note the query.

Well its a toll plaza so almost everyone knows what it is. Recently when i use it was amazed to know that RFID detectors have been removed (or whatever happened to them) because even having a car with tag, it was being processed manually.Like if you want to process it manually then what is the point of having a tag?
