A good takeaway or home delivery cafe. They have ample sitting place but hard to climb stairs for elderly ppl. Reasonably maintained sitting area which needs attention for improvement. Thr Panini sandwich is good. Most of the items are made fresh after getting the order.

Food is very good, their Panini is the best.

We went on a wednesday night in late august- THE PLACE was packed. Service a little slow as the college kids on staff have gone back to school. So we were helped by the owner- who has owned THE PLACE since 1971 and worked there from 1963. So that was a treat. The menu is limited- all lobsters, clams and fish and corn are cooked over a huge wood pit- The wood is locally sourced from a mill in Guilford.You sit outside on tree trunks. There is no salad, desert or wine and beer available- but you are welcome to bring your own. Food is served on paper plates- and you are welcome to bring your own tablecloths, plates or glasses if you choose.The food is excellent- Lobster can be ordered just boiled - but why do that when their specialty is to then roast it over the fire. Clams come roasted over the fire 99.9% come with a special sauce- but you can have them roasted plain.
