Ambience 3/5Service 2/5Taste 4/5Value for Money 3/5The initial impression was pathetic...the restaurant was nearly empty around 9pm on Saturday night, but still we had to wait quite a while for someone to take order...The table was poorly laid out... the napkins and cutlery was missing for one of the guests and they didn’t bring it until two reminders...They served the crackers that were dripping in oil...but then when the food came, it tasted good... all dishes were pretty good with some being superb...

I tried out the Hi-tea platter and I must say that everything from the appetisers to the desserts was “exquisite”. It also helped that the ambiance was so inviting and soothing. Moreover, the staff members were ever so polite.Last but not least, you’ll also get a glimpse into your future with a fortune cookie.

The staff was really courteous and well behaved. They gave my mother complimentary tea and mint margarita. Really satisfied with their service. Their best food items were chowmain and desserts. Atmosphere was nice and cosy. Must visit.

Good food, good value for money only minus point was service as the same was too slow.

Place is well maintained and not so rushy which is plus. Food quantity is good however, quality needs little improvement. A good substitute if you are tired of routine overpriced Chinese food places in near vicinity.

The starter we had, it was a simple dish of prawns but it wasnt that good, their noodles soup was actually tasty

This is one of the places that offers nice seating and decent food. Since The Bamboo Bowl had a buffet during Ramadan, I arranged an Iftar and dinner for a group of business associates. The restaurant had a lot of dishes on the menu and the Iftar was pretty good too. They gave us multiple refills on the juices and did not charge us any additional amount. I also love the cosy environment they offer. I definitely recommend this place for a nice dinner with family or even just hanging out with friends.

So you all know how beautiful the weather was yesterday and I had a chance to sneak out of my office early which obviously meant a chance to do a good lunch. Did not want my mood to get ruined because of bad food and most importantly had a wilayti friend who I did not want to disappoint as well so without a doubt, went straight to the Bamboo Bowl.The place has such peaceful and a relaxing aura to it and then the super courteous staff added to it.Anyhow coming to food.We ordered 2 bowls. The one with Vegetable fried rice, Mangolian Chicken and Korean Sweet glazed prawns as side.The other bowl was Kung Pao chicken with vegetable fried rice.The Mangolian Chicken was ON POINT. Perfect taste, quantity and whenever my order has Mushrooms and corns, it just makes my day, and this one did.The Korean Prawns got chatta patta saaf in less than 15mins. Not kidding. SOOOO GOOD!And my friend who ordered Kung Pao chicken with combo absolutely loved it as well. I tried it too as she insisted and later I finished it as I loved the chowmein and secretly wished I had ordered combo meal too. I wanted to try fried icecream as well as I had heard alot about it but was too full and pocket empty Overall a very pleasant experience. Would definitely recommend you all to try it and do ask staff to recommend you their best dishes. Trust me, you will come back happy.Our bill was around 1600/- with two drinks included as well.

Decent food. Ambience is nice. Overall, not the best option in town for Chinese cuisine but certainly not the worst either. Alright if you are in a mood for something casual.

Ambiance is good. Location too but the serving bowl were broken. The quantity of meat was not enough. Taste wise it was good but quantity and broken serving was the turn off

The taste is not upto the mark, the prawns were smelly. Wouldnt recommend!!

Taste was okay. Ordered basil chicken with combo of vegetable rice and chowmien, had too much coriander in it. Waiter forgot to bring chowmien and served with rice only. Brought later upon reminding him. Overall ambience is good. But they need to improve their cooking and service!

Poor value for money....the quality was average. Charged around 4000 for three items and the portion size was below expectation. The staff was courteous and friendly though. The trip was a rip off. Never again.

Service/ambience was fine but food was bad. Ordered chowmein with Mongolian chicken, and another chowmein/rice with orange chicken. The chowmein had too much black pepper and the Mongolian was too spicy (despite having no red dots mentioned in the menu). While the so called orange chicken was too sweet. Only the rice was eatable. Sorry to say that there are many chinese styled resturants in Islamabad and they are much better than the bamboo bowl.

Ambiance is good but they need to work hard on their cooking. Chef is their weak spot. Highlight of this place is complimentary fortune cookie. Staff is cousteous. Serrvice time is fine. But what is all this if one is not satisfied with the food.

Extremely poor service 0/10 and mismanagement serving wrong orders for dine in and take out with very average food 1/10Go only if you want to waste time and moneyLast night I went to have a take out order and ordered three bowls with add ons at 2100hrsAt first there is no waiter to take order and the guy at cash counter started taking order without properly writing the order he doesn’t have any knowledge of menu to let people facilitate in choosing. He told it will take 25minutes but there were no signs of the order even after 50 minsThere is a mayhem at restaurant where guests seated before me were not even served food and there was no waiter / manager at the floor to look after them wrong orders were being served for dine in guests after ages when their food cameFinally my order came after an hour with food dripping all inside the bagI asked the guy why it was like this and his response is that it’s being prepared more and that’s why it’s coming outI asked him to change the bags and he disappeared again for 10 mins and finally I received my order at 2200hrs and no apologies were given by anyone for the delayWhen I opened my order at home I found one complete order ( crispy sesame honey chicken) missing as well as it’s add on(chicken chili dry)Find below snapshot of receipt where missing order is highlighted

There food is very good but Ill not recommend any curry and there desserts and usually they dont have beef available but the ambience is really good as well as food I personally loved kung pao chicken and cashew nut chiicken

Delicious food... Waiter Hamza was very helpful in choosing our dishes.. also treated us with complimentary dessert for our anniversary ..very sweet gesture indeed.

Tried their iftar buffet which included green curry, sesame beef, chicken chilly dry, etc. Food was overly salty, spicy and yet boring. It was like dull homemade Chinese. The restaurant was empty and now I know why
