Very good taste.. Nihari is so good as so chote paye..a bit expensive but worth it.. Good service.. Sitting area is limited due to covid 19. Have to wait for turn..
Ordered the desi nashta, tandoori paratha and omelette with chai. Total damage 730 bucks. The wait was about 15-20 min for the order as it was a busy Friday morning.Really liked the paratha. It was heavy and filling and good desi ghee taste. The omelette was okayish like home made and the ingredients didnt add much to the taste. I am not a fan of deep fried puris but these were nice and puffyThe first serving of chanay was traditional lahori one, the second one was more close to regular chaney which I preferred. The chai was nice and strong. Overall a reasonably good experience. I wouldnt mind going there again but being a newbie in town, I would like to try out other places in search for the elusive patla wheat tawa paratha
Hahaha, It will remain to be a memorable experience, let me explain it a bit: We were on our way back to Lahore from Murree, and decided to have breakfast in Islamabad. Now, I was asked to search for some good place where we can have some conventional stuff for the breakfast. I went for the search and this place popped up with a lot od stars and good ratings, without checking up the prices. We followed Google Maps and reached there after some struggle :). Now, what I had imagined in my mind about this place was, It will be economical, good in taste, etc. based on the user ratings. But it wasnt what we expected. The rates were real high, at least for someone who is used to having good breakfasts under a certain sum. For example, the day before we left for Murree, we had our breakfast at Hafiz Breakfast near Niazi (City) adda, and was very economical considering we ordered Payee, Channe, Dahi, Naan, Chai, etc and we were 5 person in total and that all costed us around 700 rupees if I remember it correctly. Now the rates, compared to Hafiz or any other nashta corners for that sake were real high: Rs. 250 per channa bowl (a small to medium bowl), and around 20 or 25 rupees per Naan. So summing it up all, it might be a good spot for the community around that shop, F-9 if I am not wrong, But it sure isnt a good Breakfast spot for someone who is looking for breakfast on a budget.
Recommended for those interested in Desi taste. Reasonable cost as per quantity. Their chicken karai is the best among all dishes. Stairs are bit narrow and no slope for wheel chair.
Very nice place. good food point. best enjoyment area.
The food quality has deteriorated. Checken karahi was absolutely tasteless The so called channay ki daal was without desi ghee kar tarka and spices (just boiled, more like a patients meal). The fish tikka was also without salt and spices. Waste of money.
They do not give Puri Halwa all day its a lie
Lets bed halwa,Pori and channy.Paye
Food is great. Staff and counter staff are very ill mannered and badtameez people. They need to be trained on how to talk with customers. Plus always count your money when the counter staff returns it. Happened to me. Bill was 270. I paid 5k. The counter guy counted the money twice before returning. Guess it was my lucky day. I counted the money. It was 500 short of the change that was to be returned. I complained. The guy without any emotions or anything quickly gave me 500rs. Please please count ur money when they give it back to u!
As of 1/2021, Cheema & Chattha is my goto place in Islamabad for desi breakfast. It’s not on the same level as desi eateries in Lahore.
Food was good. Tanduri Paratha n Chana Daal was cooked in Desi Ghee. Makkai ki Roti n Sarsu ka Saag was the best.
I had the breakfast here, and it was just amazing. Good ambience, wonderful view and yummy desi food.
Tried beef nihari with kulchas, quite a good place to have breakfast
Good for traditional foods. The Interior can b improved.A little spicy food.Their fish was better and kashmiri chaye was best.
Good experience, tried chicken haleem and lahori chany , both tasted good.. their naans are great and lasi was awesome. Peaceful environment great ambience efficient staff so i recommend
This restaurant is by far the best tasting hygenic desi food at good prices in entire islamabad. Ive been their customer for a few years now.
Excellent food, ambience and staff.Especially saag and makai ki roti and lahori chanay.
Good place to eat traditional foods sagh roti
It is a good and reasonable place for desi breakfast. However, there is room for improvement in the ambience of restaurant.
Average taste. Bad service. Mediocre seating.
Great food... one of the best places in Twin cities
Breakfast was good. Very little space for sitting
Desi Food Lovers Haven! Its made like Moms, Grannys (Nani Dadi) home made delicious to perfection experience.Simple to connoisseur level menu helps decide what you will enjoy.Parathas were great! No oily indulgence although made in Desi Ghee!Nihari from plain to engaging levels of desi ghee according to your taste.Halwa (sooji) Channa...Gosh all is really well made.Always a treat to go back. And last but not the least. Lassi is good too! Could do with a size up!
Maintaining highest quality standards. Our familys most trusted place for pulses, seeds, spices and honey for last two decades.
Love their halwa puri
A place for breakfast with taste and alot better environment for familyThough they need to improve the taste in their tea
Didnt like its food. Poor and slow service. Staff not friendly and is more like rude. They take money but give no quality and service in return. No food quality. Kitchen seen from far was also looking dirty. Zero star for this restaurant. Not recommended unless you have no other option.
Very tasty food and family enviroment. They have just one dining hall but takeaway n delivery is available.authentic taste of traditional food. Its must try for desi food and desi nashta lovers.
Wonderful quality of food amazing and I love this place for and authentic experience of Desi breakie please go and visit
Nice and clean environment. Good place for quality food.
Best restaurant both price and food quality is best.food is delicious and the building is also good.best for families to visit once.delicious Desi food.
The food was cold. The fish was a bit uncooked (a bit pinkish) and so were the rice.
Seems to be closed long-term - have gone there in the evening, around 7 PM, past two weekends on Sunday, and its been closed.Might be shut down due to SOP violations, or issue with CDA. Not sure
Good place to dine in. Healthy, pure and delicious food ..,
Great restaurant with superb food. Quality and taste of food is great. Restaurant is small but quality of food compensates everything. Rates of food are slightly higher but again taste and quality of food justifies the price. They serve breakfast and lunch and dinner menu items. Take away and delivery service is also available. Good parking space is available for vehicles.Overall a nice experience.
It was a fine experience overall.Food was good in taste as well.
Good service but bad food taste (breakfast)
Best desi nashta in Islamabad
Amazing food. Good service. Moderate ambiance.
Extremely delicious halwa puri. Reasonable price and I think its one of the best halwa puri option in Islamabad. The seating arrangement is also fine.
Outclass Food and Great Environment
They provide food in desi ghee. Very Good service... Parathay and Rotis are very good.
Best food partha and grilled fish yummy
The food is very good bt place.,sitting and entrance needs to improve.
Bhai biryani ka to full yoo scene hai inka.
I order lahori chanay but that was not actually lahori chanay . it was like homemade chanay .need to improve this
Had a very pleasantful different experience of food here. You get everything with a desi touch and all the ingredients frm which the food ia made are non refined. A near to native taste of food is served here. The only downside of the eatery is that it doesnt offer a calm sitting, sometimes it gets busy on weekends.
GREAT BOAST SMALL ROAST۔ below average taste
Chicken tikka is excellent and well cooked, and is priced very well as well.Beef nihari was okay. The meat itself seemed tasteless while the gravy was spicy. (Edit: tried the Desi ghee tarka beef nihari on another visit and it was amazing).Chicken bihari boti was bland as well and seemed a little undercooked. (Edit: Turkish Tikka boti was quite spicy and nice). The beef seekh kebab were amazing (like always). Juicy and full of beef. Would recommend them to everyone. The kheer is great and fresh, and the new Doodh Rabri is very nice and filling. My kids love it.Seating is okayish, the achar jars on the tables are a little oily at times.Avg price: 600 per headMusic: No.
Good place for breakfast but a bit pricey.
People of Islamabad have no sense of taste
I didnt regret my decision
If youre desi by mind and want to take some pure desi bites in the most silent city of Pakistan then Cheema & Chattha could be your ultimate taste point. Their breakfast is something I would say is a really finger licking good. In the early hours of the morning it is bit over crowded and you may have to wait but its worth to wait but if you go sometime around 11:30 then getting a table is not a big issue. On the price point, theyre bit expensive but quality of the food justify it.
Value for money!!. Decent taste and respectable ambience. Staff is courteous. They serve their own brown sugar and pickle. All in all a very decent indoor place for family breakfast or brunch. Small menu but decent.
Those who like spicy food should go there
Good food place but prices are at high end with comparison to food quality and embiance
In my opinion its a overrated place as we got lot of suggestions to visit here for Good Nehari in Islamabad but after visit first issue is proper place with some cool air but it was take 30 minutes nd 2 replacing places... Lets Come to food, Nehari was cold nd not even near to Mohammadi Nehari, provided selads was with dry lemons, Lassi is like a Milk Shake, Kababs were lil bit better than other choices.... Such a Overrated Place...
Awesome. A lil slow service. But food was good.
Good taste, good service, good quality!!! Slightly expensive....
Ive had good experiences there in the past but the most recent one was subpar. Most influential thing in my rating is the level of customer service which is normally great and the older gentleman at the counter is super friendly. This time however, the young man was borderline rude and seemed already frustrated even though I was the first customer of the day and was being cordial. Got Nihari this time with tandoori parathas but nihari was lacking taste and flavor and parathas were burnt. Again, first customer of the morning and this was the quality. Not the satisfied customer I used to be.
Expensive, taste is just normal
Very good nashta, yummy and filling. The space is very small and gets crowded real quick. The food was good but the servers were very slow and not very attentive. The food merits a 5 star but the place being small and the servers not very efficient will need to be corrected before I give them a 5 star rating.
This is very good place to have quality food, especially desi food.. I would recommend daal chana, kabaabs and Roti.Ahadees written for the muslims are great gestures. Lovely ambience but i would say they should concentrate on cleanliness of all the corners of this restaurant, must do cleanliness 10/10 which is certainly not.
Best place to have desi tradional breakfast. The tandoori paratha with channa and omelets are served. The food quality and taste is really good. Halwa pori is also very delicious.
Their Nihari is worth trying. .
Food & stuff were nice but very very expensive. Very bad experience as far as Cleanliness & services are concerned
Nice Desi food, great quality. Highly recommended
We had breakfast at Cheema chatahalwa pori & lahori chanay & nihariThe bee fly came out from halwaEven we give so much money, what is the use for us? This is unfair.
A very favourite place in market these days for people of twin cities. It is located in F-11 Islamabad. I tried their puri, chanay, aalu, halwa, lassi and tea. It costed around 800Rs for two people. Puri is the best thing they have with very less oil, then chaaye was also classy. Quantity of halwa was very good. Rest were all fine. Attaching the pics for you guys to see
Food was below avarage in taste.
Nice food but their Service is too slow
Good breakfast we had here. Cannot say about seating place because we had take away service
Best taste in ISB
Nihari and breakfast are awesome
Good taste cleanliness needs definate improvement
Good food and service... Could improve the furniture outside though.
Very tasty nashta except the paey. Nali Nihari was good though
Normal taste with high price
Top quality food. Menu is not very extravagant but whatever is there is very well cooked. One can clearly discern that the ingredients used are of good quality. The quality of meat, grains, spices and vegetables used in cooking, all is very good. Cooking standard is nice too. Their nalli nehari, maghaz and BBQ chicken tikka is very good. Its not kind of a classy eating place.... seating and decor is very basic but its clean and efficient. Service is quick and food is great. If you looking for a great ambiance, this is not the place. But if you looking at well cooked tasty food in very reasonable rates, this is the place to go.
A good place to have breakfast, lunch and dinner!Service is quite good, neat and clean place with quality food in reasonable price.#LocalGuide #Foodie #Travel #Explore
Quality has improved, less oily now
Good taste and good service.. Had to wait a bit but was good enough in the end
Breafast very delicious reasonable price
5 stars for dall taste. 3 for services and sitting place
I loved it the puri was so yummy and the halwa was yummy to
Best ever nashta in town.Whenever I need to est desi I always prefer and this is my regular saag with makki roti spot
Nice place to have breakfast
Serves breakfast daily, plenty of space, good for families and friends. Variety of food for all three meals. Besides you have safelo, scoop and tehzeb bakery.
