Real Lake / Lawal Park is a very famous clean and green tourest point. A large number of peoples in Islamabad vist this beautiful place.You can enjoy boating in Rewal Jheel. Different kinds birds in and animals you can see here.Playing area for kids. Advanture Park and racing track.Very wide palace for cars & bikes parking. Very big park with a lake. Overall very very good place in Islamabad.

Beautiful weather in rawal lake

Beautiful view of lake but very hot in these days if you visit in evening then it will be good. There are boats available for enjoying in the lake.

It’s good to visit this public place close to Kashmir highway near Islamabad if you have time of around two to three hours, you can walk and enjoy multiple type of entertainments. Especially I would like to mention fun in boating rides. I have visited this place many times, though it was renovated during the time of Gen. Musharaf government, but maintenance of this park and improvement in culinary facilities was never improved.

Rawal Lake (Urdu: جھیل راول‎) in Pakistan is an artificial reservoir that provides the water needs for the cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Korang River along with some other small streams coming from Margalla Hills have been set to form this artificial lake which covers an area of 8.8 km². Korang River is the outlet stream of Rawal Dam. Rawal Lake is located within an isolated section of the Village Malpur, Bani Gala and Margalla Hills National Park.RecreationThe area around the lake has been planted with flowering trees and laid out with gardens, picnic spots, and secluded paths. The terraced garden and the lake are used for picnics, fishing and boating. The highest point in the garden offers a panoramic view of the lake, Margalla and Murree hills, Rawalpindi and Islamabad.Boating, sailing, water skating and diving facilities are organized by private clubs.To the west of the lake is the Islamabad Club, which offers different sporting facilities.WildlifeThe reservoir is of considerable importance for wintering waterfowl, especially Anas platyrhynchos.Resident mammals include the common Fox, Pangolin, Porcupine, Jungle cat, Jackal, Wild boar and yellow-throated marten.Reptiles include Indian Cobra and Russells Viper.It is a good place for birds watching, as the majority of Birds of Islamabad are found here.FisheryThere are 15 fish species belonging to 11 genera that are present in Rawal Lake. The place is too beautiful but the water is unclean!!!

Went for a fishing trip but apparently you can’t fish. A police came by boat and told me. He said there signs everywhere but I didn’t see any. The place is nice for a camp fire

This is one of the oldest lake of twin city. There are many picnic and view points around the lake. These are realy amazing. One can also enjoy boating and fishing. However you have to obtain licence for fishing.
