Trail 6 is located near Faisal mosque islamabad, trail length is not so long, best trail for beginners, there are some fresh water trails in between the track and the trail is not difficult to hike. If you want to explore nature you must go there with your friends.

This is a slightly longer trail that starts at the back side of Faisal Mosque and goes up in the dense Margalla forest. The ascend is mostly gradual though at places it is quite steep. At the start when it is relatively plain, you can come across wild boars but once the ascend starts, there are no wild boars. Up in the hills, you will come across many birds and if you are lucky, you might come across the white crested Kaleej pheasant. At midway, the trail divides in two tracks but both ultimately lead to Talhar Road. You can go from one side and come back from the other or you can continue on Talhar Rd and go to Monal. This will take you 3.5 to 4 hours. We did our brunch at Monal and then came down via trail 3.

One of the most beautiful hiking trail of marglah hills.there is a pure natural beauty. I suggest to bring Young kids and especially in these days ware proper shoes because due to rainy weather most area of track you cross from water so long shoes recommend.also bring your own water bottle because there is no Tuck shop in start of hiking track like trial 3&5

Trail 6 is flat in start but eventually steep parts starts which gets a little tough. It will take you to the Margalla top with hikes. It starts at back of the faisal mosque. This trail is 4 km long and is also known as Faisal mosque or E7 trail.

The best hiking track in Islamabad for adventurous trekkers. Look out for animals like monkeys, deer, cheetah, pigs and rams. Get your supplies checked before starting trekking here. Almost 3 hours trekking to reach the top. A must take challenge in Islamabad if youre a tourist here. It will replenish your energy and hard work once you get to the top.

Nice clean and green trail. It is at the back of faisal masjid. Best trail to trek in summers due to dense jungle. Trail is mostly covered and is cool. Streams of water are also in this trail. If you go there please dont litter. One of my favourite places I take people who come to visit Islamabad.

Trail 6 is my love. When ever I visit faisal Mosque I prefer to go backside of mosque and have a hiking on trail 6. Lovely and beautiful trail. There is a neat and clean water stream along trail. It is along the beautify trees and bushes. It is lush green trail. Reaching the top you can enjoy the beautiful view of the beautiful Islamabad. The best thing is that it is not a rushi trail.

Trail 6 starts from Faisal Mosque. The parking for the mosque can be used by the hikers coming in for Trail 6. It is a trail with difficulty level MEDIUM. The trail has a loop with two options to go ahead the easy way and the one with sterp ascend. The trail finishes at Talhar-Monal Road Junction or you can further go towards Trail 4. It is a less populated trail and a number of mixed incidents have occured on this trail, so it is recommended that hikers should join in groups and, preferably in the hours of sun light.

Trail 6 starts just behind Faisal Mosque in Islamabad. It moves through a thick jungle between the two mountain features behind Faisal Mosque and slowly climbs up, reaching the top of the mountain behind Faisal Mosque at Jabbi Gali. From Jabbi Gali, one can go down to Village Talhaar (western route) or move east and hit the Pir Sohawa Road at the point where the Talhar Road originates from main Pir Sohawa Road. The Monal Restaurant is about 1 km from that point. This is a very scenic trail, however, for initial one hour or so one is walking in a thick jungle which provides excellent opportunity to observe birds, animals and plants. View of Islamabad city is available at Jabbi Galli Top. When one reaches the top of ridge line, its a fascinating forest out there with lot of pine trees and Phoenix Rupicola, or cliff date palm which is a species of flowering plant in the palm family, native to the mountainous forests of India and Bhutan from 300 to 1200 m, usually occurring on cliffs, hillsides and similar terrain. It takes about b two hours to reach the top of ridge line and from there on. One starts descending towards either village Talhar (western direction) or towards Road Pir Sohawa (eastern direction). For a physically fit person, it will take 1.5 to 2 hours to reach Jabbi Gali and around 2 to 3 hours to hit Pir Sohawa Road. A person with good physical fitness can reach The Monal Restaurant on foot in 2.5 to 3.5 hours. If you are physically not very fit, please do not go on this trail as the climb at places is quite steep and you will be quite far away from a road. Wearing proper hiking shoes is essential and one must carry at least 2 liters of water per head. Carrying a few snacks will make the hike more enjoyable during breaks but it is not a must requirement. Please avoid wearing half sleeve shirts and shorts too as at many places jungle is thick and one can get easily bruised while walking through the bushes. A stick and whistle can also be taken along. If you start from Faisal Mosque early in the morning, you have excellent opportunities for bird watching. If you are lucky and walking quietly, you may get a glimpse of an odd Monal Pheasant too. Beware of the wild boars at the start point and in plain areas but as you climb up the mountains, there are no wild boars. There are at least two streams in the area which are operative during December and January too. One can take water from there as well, it is clean. For those who love hiking and do not mind doing tough hikes, this is an excellent trail.
