Traditional, Rich and Majestic - three words for this food. Opened in 1948 and currently being operated by the third generation - Dilbur Hotel servces authentic Kashmir food. Some of which, frankly most of the foodies never heard of. For example Mutton Rustay, Tabak Maaz, Methi Maaz etc.We had Mutton Hareesa, Palak Gosht and Yakhni. They serve all this with Fresh Roti or Nan. As we mentioned food is rich, so yeah it is heavy - go with an empty stomach if you please. The owner is happy to indulge in conversation with you about history of the place and people who have been visiting this joint.Surprisingly, the joint is quite popular among the political elite such as NS, Zardaris etc. On one account he mentioned Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto has also been coming here. The joint has also been a center for political meetings/ gatherings. We must say this would be our own Pak Tea House in RWP.

Services, staff and owners are good, their menu have different taste not a usual one especially Gushtabay`s experience was really extraordinary, everything was fine only one recommendation for them that they use lamb instead of usual mutton to give it a real traditional taste to enliven the tradition, last visit my my first visit and I will go there again, good to know them

Very low quality and very oily food. They charge very high as compared to other restaurants in near surroundings. Strongly not recommend to go there for lunch or dinner. They provide Very poor service. Even they serve the third class sprite. It is noticed by my cousin that the sprite is not authentic and not original. Please dont go there.

Situated in mochi bazar near to purana killa its old hotel of this area mostly known as kashmiri hotel owners are from jamu kashmir. Strongly recommend if u go to raja bazar for shopping

An old Kashmiri establishment serving authentic Kashmiri cuisine. Visited after a lot of recommendations and the place lived up to its name.We had their mutton yakhni which was more like white qorma served with boiled rice and palak. The yakhni and palak were both super tasty, even though it was very different from our usual spice filled recipies. The second round of yakhni was on the house. And it ended with a very well balanced cup of doodh Patti.They serve speciality Kashmiri dishes like goshtabay, ristay etc. only on Saturday. And Desi Murgh stuff on Tuesday and Wednesday.Youll have to park a but far and walk to the place. Just ask anyone near the Purana Qila area where dilbar hotel is.
