BOLAN MEDICAL COMPLEX HOSPITAL QUETTABolan Medical Complex Hospital QuettaAfter partition the country was deficient in trained manpower, especially in the medical field. To filled the gap in the short period of time the Government of Pakistan decided to start condensed medical courses & for that a series of medical schools were established in the country. Thus in 1952 Amin-ud-din medical school was started in Balochistan. It worked for seven years & was closed as a matter of policy when it was felt that this category of doctors were no more required & instead it was decided that more medical colleges would be opened to train fully qualified doctors in the country at the level of MBBS & beyond . Earlier on the students from Balochistan would seek admission in the other colleges of the country & were facing great difficulty. After Balochistan got the status of separate province in 1970 the people of Balochistan started demanding a medical college of their own. In March 1971 it was agreed in principal that a medical college will be opened in Balochistan at Quetta.In 1972 , the Government of Pakistan acceding to the demand of the people of the province formally decided to set up a medical college at Quetta & agreed to run it as a federally funded project .Pending the construction of a new full-fledged hospital & college building , the classes were started in Sandeman Provincial Hospital Quetta & the building of a para-medical school was acquired for the college . The main building of the college & hospital (BMCH) have been completed & are fully functional . The laboratories of the basic department have been equipped with most modern equipment .Four hostels two for boys & two for girls & residence of teaching & ministerial staff, in reasonable number have been completed . At the moment there is accommodation for all the students .Twenty four batches of students numbering 2900 (approximately) have already qualified from here & the 25th batch is due to pass out. BDS classes were started in 1985 & now fully Function College is working & till date more than 100 BDS doctors have qualified. For updating the knowledge of the teachers & furtherance of medical science a research cell, as a branch of Pakistan Medical Research Council , is functioning since 1979 with the principal as its director . To make the medical education more meaning full community oriented medical education has been introduced in the college from last year . Plans are under way to introduce computer literacy classes , open a medical education department , establish a resource centre , a skills laboratory & upgrading the library to meet the new challenges of the time . The Govt. of Balochistan has recently established a post graduate medical institute at Bolan Medical Complex Hospital Quetta for post graduate courses.

The biggest medical institution in Balochistan which various facilities healthcare and outdoor patients. This was hospital his equipped with state of the art equipments and staff. Main hospital building contains various departments for various diseases and disorders. provides 24 hour services where Doctors remain available at the same time the para medical officers and nurses too. Building is secured with fire alarms emergency exits and fire extinguishers

The hospital BMC is located in quetta where every kind of treatment has been done by the doctors.

The doctors of this hospital are very experienced and highly skilled but the environment is not too good because of cleanliness issues and a lot of crowd. Its very difficult to get through the blood test and other tests because of undisciplined people and management. Doesnt provide free medicines despite being a government hospital.

I am a graduate of bolan medical college quetta.the affiliated hospital with this college is bolan medical complex hospital which is situated just near to college...I started taking clinical classes from mbbs 3rd year in 2009 at that time building was new and most of the departments were non functional but with passage of time and getting skilled persons which were trained from bmch as well as from other parts of country joined the hospital and now almost all the departments are functional...Hospital has a good building with enough space including a basement....Now a days there is no pvt medical store within the building of hospital....Cantene is situated outside of hospital..Hospital has facility of ccu,nursery,emergency department,labour room and other departments including 2 medicine,2 surgical,2 ortho,neurosurgery,ent,peads surgery,neuromedicine,endo and skin wards...There is no separate surgical icu...There is a icu of neurosurgery with limited resources and a vip ward too...Hospital has also a dental and maxillofacial department where routine surgeries being done...A separete burn icu and a burn unit situated at back of hospital....Psychiatry dept got status of institute which is having a separate building just beside of hospital main building....Gastro and neuromedicine departments are being separate institute soon....Oncology deptt also has a ward at top floor...

They must clean the hospital floor everyday

There should be efficient doctors here to provide relief to the people..

No good doctors, they are always sleepy. No neatness, no immaculateness, dirty corridors, blood smells like hell. Dirty hospital. There is no complaint box anywhere in the whole hospital. People are helpless thats why they come here to recover. Once I complained about a staff member to the head of the hospital, he was laughing shamelessly, they should be ashamed of themselves.
