Allama Muhammad Iqbals last residenceThis house located near Lahore Railway Station is the last residence of Pakistans national poet/ philosopher Muhammad Iqbal. Allama Iqbal lived here from 1935 til his death in 1938. The rooms are kept in the same state as they were in the 1930s and an elevated platform is built for the visitors who can access almost the entire house. Several of Allama Iqbals personal items are preserved and displayed, including original furniture, clothes, medications and original manuscripts and diaries. Very well maintained and a must see for everyone.

An excellent experience of visiting this historical place with International Iqbal Society (IIS).Personal belongings of Allama Muhammad Iqbal, hand written notes and his hand written poetry is preserved/displayed here. Its a cool experience being there. Pakistanis love Allama Muhammad Iqbal and his message thats why it is important for our youngsters to be here for a study tour.

The home Javed Manzil of Renowned Poet Dr Allama Iqbal which was later converted into Iqbal Meusam.

Sir. Dr. Allama Iqbal is the most admired personality in a Pakistanis life because he was the one who first thought of an Independant state for Muslims in the Asian sub-continent . So it was amazing to see his day-to-day things that he used .

I always love to see Historical places its great to see iqbal museum some of its places are under construction but if you do have time must visit the museum

When I Go There Javed Manzil(Iqbal House) was Running In Repair & Maintenance So I Disappoint LittleBit But I Was Happy To See My Hero BirthPlace And His House..

In Lahore Javed manzil

Needs a lot of renovation. The guards were sleeping when I arrived at 12.00pm. All lights were closed. Everything was covered under dust. Felt really sad seeing the site in such a terrible situation. Disappointed to the core.

It is a place of history and I enjoyed it

It was amazing. Well maintained, clean and free of cost. The museum was designed to inspire. Walking through rooms containg Allama Iqbals degrees, his famous poems written in his own hand writing, his clothes, and his everyday use items... it does something to you. It is so peaceful yet everything there speaks volumes. The best part ofcourse, is Allama Iqbals bed room. The place where he died and his wall clock stopped at the exact moment when it happened. It is sure to give people goosebumps. I urge everyone to visit, at least once. And donate as much as you can to keep this museum going and to preserve the belongings of this great poet.

Its on Allama Iqbal road, near Garhi Shahu. Please take services of the guide when you visit this place. It has many of Iqbals belongings and the guide will be there to tell you interesting stories.

I love this place

Javed Manzil, Lahore has been personal residence of Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal, Shair e Mashriq and Mufaqir e Pakistan, named after his son, Javed Iqbal. Allama Iqbal lived here for 3 years and also died in this building. He bought this 7 kanal area for about 24 thousands British Indian Rupees in 1934. Residence construction completed in 1935 in European style around 42000 rupees. Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah visited this place to meet Allama Iqbal in 1936. In this very place both Legends came to common agreement about Pakistan. Allama Iqbal wrote many letters about Pakistan to Quaid e Azam in his residence.Government of Pakistan declared this place a National Monument and bought it from his son in 3.5 million rupees. Government converted it into Allama Iqbal Museum which was renovated and inaugurated by then president Muhammad Zia ul Haq in 1984. His son, Javed Iqbal donated around 600 objects of his fathers personal belongings to this museum free of cost. This museum has a library and 9 galleries which cover historical period of 1877 to 1938.I once read in Javed Chaudharys column in which he after visiting Shakespeares house museum complained about preserving our Heroes memories but after visiting this place I reckon Government has not ignored some of our Legends.
