A good place to buy fried fish.They are following the SOPs and the staff is curteous.Outdoor seating is limited but available.Takeaway is a better idea.

It has a big name, good location, sit in is not bad, service is good, hygiene is ok, variety is there. As far as the quality of taste is not up to the mark, marination is fine, but the frying quality has some issues. Short frying time, which results in on baked basin, moisture remains in the flesh, not burn out.

This is place is very prominent in Lahore specially for Fish in Winter. People living in Gulberg can easily approach this Branch. Fish was very fresh and well fried.Must try this Place last year there was a Parking issue but now they have valet Parking as well so car parking is not a issue.

Overpriced and overrated. Had ordered their fried fish, (which according to them is their speciality) the taste was below average. Infact the only taste was of the outer gram layer and the inner fish part had no signs of marination.

Quality of the Rahu Fried Fish is just okay. Theres nothing extraordinary about the fish except it is battered with gram flour (basin).I also found quite an amount of fat in there because large pieces of fish are fried without removing the fat

Bashar Darulmahi has been a great name with regards to fried fish in Lahore. Perhaps the best that there was. I still recall standing in a queue for more than an hour to buy fried fish from their original shop in Mazang around 30 years back. Now they have many outlets and we tried their outlet at Hussein Chowk a couple of times.To say the least, we were quite disappointed. The famous fried fish for which we used stand in a queue was now of quite an ordinary standard..... so blend that we could hardly finish it and I had to confirm it from them that is it the same fish for which they were so famous? The BBQ fish which is a new product was prepared much better.They have a reasonable sitting place which is quite big with an average furnishing. The standard of service is quite poor. There are just a few waiters who find it hard to meet everyones requirements. Better to remind them about your order a few times otherwise they will bring an incomplete order and will take ages to complete it.Various type of fish range from Rs 1000/- to 1600/- per kg. The best on their card was BBQ fish which is basically boneless Bassa fish from Thailand. The original Rohu with gram flour coating is no more that good. They offer Tawa fish also which is fairly good.

Tasty fish and economical rahu fish of rs 1120 per kg but poor hygiene standard with no oil change and no cooking gloves. Sitting area is ok requires cleaning more often ...also offers boneless and grilled fish

I should have given 5 star as we are their regular customers every winters and I personally liked their basin wali Fish more then the Boneless Balm Tawa Fish. But this time around i would say that they have overload the basin probably to decrease fish weigh as they also count the basin in weigh of fish. So better to eat the Tawa Fish

I had a very nice experience here. Main cuisine is fish. Grilled fish is highly recommend. But fried basen fish is a bit heavy.The service was quick, despite of peak hours the service was delivered relatively fast.Outdoor seating gathering is great and well suited for the individuals who smoke.Entrance does supports disable.

The place is enough vast and good for families, it is a trendy place for fried fish lovers, It was separated in 2013 from its main setup which was situated at mazang chungi Lahore, and the setup is still there and available fried fish at old place is still very delicious but so far as the new setup is concerned which is at Hussain chowk Gulberg the taste of fish is below standard quality I visited last night for the first time but become very disappointed from this place as the fish was neither cooked properly but also tasteless, so I strongly recommend that to avoid such type of situation please prefer to go at old place which is known now as Aslam Darulmahi.

They need to give some quality tissue papers along with a spoon and sauce in a bowl

Tried their gram flour coated fish and honestly, it was just an ordinary taste. I have had fish from many restaurants but none were ordinary. I had higher expectation from this place but i got disappointed by tasteless fish. Yes, chaat masala helped to bit to bring the taste but still i would not rate it higher. Other than fish, bread was also not very good. The only things that were good were chilled soft drinks and staff service. Seating capacity was also spacious.I would have rated it higher had the taste been just better but I am afraid it was not.

Bashir Dar ul Mahi, the one situated at Hussain Chowk, thrashed a man and his family including a woman in front of several other guests.The man had accompanied his family to what he thought was a regular dinner but which turned out to be a really traumatic experience for him. The problem when the family asked the management for Sales Tax Number (STN). The restaurant manager denied the request and humiliated the family. The entire staff of the restaurant thrashed, abused and harassed the family.The management stubbornly admitted that the restaurant does not pay the tax and therefore the request of family cannot be entertained. They further mentioned law enforcement agencies cannot bring them accountable.The story is viral and major newspapers are running it aswell. One should remember that this is the same Bashir Dar ul Mahi whose mozang branch was sealed due to, a record-breaking level of unhygienic conditions. I fail to understand why anyone would go to a place famous for its unsanitary conditions.The resturant should be investigated by Punjab Food Authority as well as the FBR.

Basin wali Rohu is not good as before..... Its is partially cooked with uncooked basin coating outside..... M not satisfied....

If you want to eat best fish in town so you are on right place. But remember they sell thier items only for 6 months,6 months cash, 6 months rest. Must try their Grilled Fish with alu bukhar ki chatni.
