Its a good place to get industrial training.The Government of Pakistan established Pakistan Industrial Technical Assistance Centre (PITAC) in 1962 with the merger of Industrial Research & Development Centre (IRDC) and Industrial productivity Centre (IPC) under the administrative control of Ministry of Industries & Production, Government of Pakistan.PITAC provides Technical assistance to industries by way of design & manufacturing of jigs, fixtures, dies, moulds, gauges, tools and prototype products.PITAC also organizes demand driven Techno Managerial training courses for the benefit of industries and individuals resulting in better quality workforce. Its trained people are productive individuals for boosting up productivity and quality in the organization. In this way PITAC has directly contributed toward skill development for the Engineering sector and employment generation in the country.PITAC is now entering the field of academic Education by establishing PITAC College of Technology (PCT) in the premises of Pakistan Industrial Technical Assistance Centre (PITAC) HQ Lahore. The College has Accreditation with TEVTA Punjab and Affiliation with Punjab Board of Technical Education Lahore. Initially in the year 2017-2018 enrolment in Mechanical Technology will be started. Dies & Molds, Manufacturing, Electrical and Mechatronics Technologies will be started in the coming years.The college has well furnished air-conditioned class rooms fitted with multimedia and modern lab equipment.
