Full disclosure, I havent purchased any security cameras yet. Yesterday was day 1 of researching security cameras for purposes of installing them in our home. This review is of my first impression of this shop & the customer service I received. Firstly, out of all the shops I visited yesterday (4-5 shops around Hall road) I had to wait the longest just for sales associate to give me a quote/answer my questions. In none of the other shops did I have to wait for the sales representative to get off his phone and entertain me and give me a quote. Mind you this shop keeper was not doing anything when I arrived (apart from browsing on his smartphone) and was the only one who wasnt with other prospective customers. Maybe this is a distributor location, they can afford to do that but I wouldnt spend my money (or recommend their products to others for that matter) based on the customer service I received yesterday. After waiting a good 5 minutes I was greeted by the same individual mentioned before and finally given a quote. If management is reading this review, kindly retrain this employee/Administrator (lol) on how to deal with customers OR better yet have him observe other surrounding shops/competitors which are selling the same HIK products.For the record, wireless Apple Earpods, Apple watch does NOT impress prospective customers- prompt customer service does. My 16 year old cousin has better conversation skills than this supposed adult. There is a thing called eye contact, its crucial especially if you are working in sales.For others in the same boat as I am, it seems HIK has got the market cornered when it comes to selling home surveillance systems. If you compare apples to apples (2 MP 20 meter cameras) with competition, Pollo has better video quality and value (cheaper). Dont take my word for it, just go to the Pollo shop couple of doors down and compare for yourself. Compare night vision quality or IR in particular.
