University of Karachi is one the biggest and finest universities of Pakistan. It has around 55 departments and 18 centers which offer quality education and to undergraduate students and research students.It is spread across 1275 Acres in middle of Karachi on University road. It has over 43000 regular students.It has many affiliated colleges. It is recognized all over the world and has produced millions of students over almost 70 years.

Proud to be associated with it. The only decent public university of Sindh that provides cheap and quality education covering various courses and accepts people from all over the country. Non-Karachities (especially from interior Sindh) really benefits from it but still malign it when ever possible.

Department of Economics, where I study. University of Karachi is one of the best and biggest university of Pakistan having very very nominal fees. Good tutors, massive class rooms. However, some teacher are very very rude and they do not let student pass examz easy. They are tough to handle everything else AL HAMDULILLAH.

It was good bt the timings to conducting class were quite disappointing

Its first Vice-chancellor was Dr. ABA Haleem. In 1953 it started its teaching and research activities at two faculties: the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Science.For the first two years, the University of Karachi remained as an examination university for the affiliated colleges. Over the years, the enrollment expanded rapidly. Karachi University first intake was 50 students, the university now has 53 academic departments and 20 Research Centers and Institutes, under faculties of Social Sciences, Science, Islamic Studies, Engineering, Law, Pharmacy, Management and Administrative Sciences and Medicines. The enrollment of regular students at the campus is around 28,000. There are about 1,000 faculty members and more than 3,000 supporting staff.

Its a very old and one of high standard educational institution with a reasonable fee.

One of the famous university in Pakistan but sadly there is no proper management. The infrastructure and classes are in a very bad condition. It seems like a village out of city. Teachers are good. Library and labs are also in a bad condition. The only good thing in Karachi university is FOOD. Must try the tempting tikka biryani and samosas. :D

University is beautiful. Although there are many problems and lack of facilities too. Fees are getting higher. Research facilities are not properly available in department. University is facing constant financial problems. But still they try to do their best all the time.

Its former students should win noble prizes.Karachi University is located near Gulshan-E-Iqbal and University road. That area is full of greenery and nice landscape.It has many buildings and structures.And teaching or labs have good views. University has libraries and best research departments. I was visited for exam form. It is best place for education with cheap fee structure And still it is known for the cheap fee structural university in Karachi, Sindh.Please pay a visit for education or for a interest of viewing educational institution.
