Nice soothing Place with clean and pure stream.

The Thaddo dam is built in 2003/4 since than the forestry department plantation of random plants turn this bank of river and frony of dam is unique and beautiful place to visit.In my recent two (August 2020), i found it over crowded without control this place will be ruined by pollution by the visitors.Family visitors might face Seaview type of crowd, i mean 10/20 boys circle those who has no sense how to give respect to families visitor or female group. The water streams almost occupied by these boys groups no space for families.No restroom is available so be prepared.If government considered this point a picnic point then there must be some steps taken.1. Management / police should be there2. The guidelines for visitor should be displayed3. Waste management and dustbin should be available4. There should be a fee for visitors5. Rest room / washrooms should be available6. Vehicle parking area should be declared with fee7. Family / female area should be allocated8. Sand / Stone lifting should be stopped to protect environment

This dam is located towards the remote area of Konkar / Gadap. Its construction was completed by Sindh Govt. in 2004. This dam totally depends upon seasonally rains especially on monsoon rains. It provides natural habitat for various biological species.Best time to visit this place is preferably during first half of the day. It mostly contains big rocky stones, pits and bushes; also it is stated that its depth goes up to 400 ft at some places. Therefore, one must avoid swimming here, and also it is prohibited as well.As it is located in remote area, so precautionary measures must strictly be considered before travelling there.

Thado dam is a small dam constructed on a seasonal river called Thado River. Dam get full or half full in monsoon and water remains for three to four months. After getting full water streams run for two to two and half months.

Amazingly beautiful place.

Its on gadap road, i went there on a bike but what i found there is no water, its was all dry. The village people near the dam told that there will be no water ultil the next rain is expected.

Its 30 kilometers away For surab ghot.Very beautiful place. Absolutely safe place and can go with the family. On the way there will be hotels to eat and there are shops. Mobile signal has little problem On the way. There is also a petrol pump on the way ۔

Thaddo Dam is just 30km from Sohrab Goth Flyover and is left turn on M9 just before Toll Plaza. It is very peaceful place and beautiful. The rain just converted barren land into lush green.

KARACHI The project of CDGK Forest Department to produce Honey, Silk and a chemical Neel, on the agricultural land of Karachi city has been completely grind to a halt due to a lack of funds and interest in the project of the city government high-ups, The Nation learnt on Sunday. The sources confirmed that due to a lack of funds and lack of interest on the part of city government, the project was in jeopardy. The CDGK had established a thick jungle in the outskirts of Karachi at Thaddo Dam in Gadap Town around four years ago where more than 0.1 million trees were planted over a area of abut 100 acres of land. The CDGK Forest Department conceived that the Karachis Changa Manga (The Thaddo Dams Jungle) not only could be used for as resort but also it could be used for for generating revenue for the city government.

Its a nice ride on a motorcycle from DHA Karachi. Took us 1.5 hours to get there, lots and lots of speed breakers, not good for cruiser motorcycles which have low clearance. For other types it was ok.Good scenery there.Had a nice meetup at the reservoir, took some pics and headed back to Karachi.

A new picnic spot for Karachities After Monsoon Rains, now the Dam is Full of Water because of Rain.One kilometer road before Thaddo Dam is full of Lush Green trees, Grass and full of nature. You can explore the real beauty of the #nature while you are walking towards to Dam. I like that one kilometer Way rather than the Dam.Google maps directions worked great, but before one and half kilometers, you have to park your car and than you can reach Dam by Walk, so till road will not be repair, old aged or differently abled people shouldnt visit there.#letsguide
