It’s a great initiative with immense potential. The project is still very much in it’s infancy however if the community gets behind it, it can quickly develop into something great. The chiefs behind the project employ a very scientific and organised approach to forestry whereby plants that are native to and can survive in Karachi’s climate are cultivated. More power to them.

The Urban Forest is being built by Shahzad Qureshi on KDAs & KMCs abandoned park. It will give you the flavour of village life & makes you feel like youre in a forest. In Urban Forest vegetables, halophytes, non-native tress, flowers & orchards of different fruits have been grown.

So beautiful and peaceful

A fascinating, result oriented urban forest project that is primed to become a go to destination for Karachis residents and visitors. These kinds of spaces are needed and must be given all the support possible to thrive for future generations.

Might take a few more years to fully develop. Good effort nonetheless.

It was an amazing experience to visit urban forest ... A concrete initiative to build a green forest in the city which can help to reduce the climate effects surrounding us also saving the eco system of nature.

One of my favourite place in city , I myself have planted over 50 over there .a great initiative by Shahzad , 50,000 tree will be plant over the course of time . Vegetable garden already giving variety of veggies , fruit orchid , betterfly park , BBQ area , Forest walk are also planned to make the Urban Forest self sufficient .
