Once it was very unfamiliar area, only known for a nearby National College, but this part of Alamgir Road now attracts heavy traffic for quite a few reason. Alamgir Road that runs across Bahadurabad and Sharfabad, connects Kokan Ground at one end to University Road (Central Jail) flyover at the other end. Chana Bites is located at the National College roundabout, near University Road.It is now a prime location, this part has Alamgir Hotel, and Javed Nihari in close proximity while United King bakery, SPAR store, and Kababjees bakers are in vicinity.Chana Bites offers desi street food including Pani Puri, meethi puri, and chaat variety. Back in times it served tasty treats buty last experience was not so good. They have lost their taste with their food. With growing food industry in the vicinity, they need to up their game.
Not really good family hall...it should be bright and sitting arragment should be good...food is okay
Best place for street food like channa chat and golgappay.
Discovered an awesome place CHANA BITES a few meters after UNITED KING Bakers in Sharafabad. Great place for Soups, chaat and KHAWSUEY.The chicken corn and hot n sour soup tasted great. chana Chaat with Khatey aloo was awesome. A must try for Beef and Mutton KHAWSUEY Lovers the curry tastes out if this world.Rs. 250 for one bowl of yummilicious beef khausa.Recommended
The chaat is excellent, just the right balance of flavours. Good value for money, all stars
Nice chaat.
Awesome Khawsa
The first impression is the last impression, so said the wise men.We went there to have quick bite and to satiate our taste buds. The items they offer on the menu are spicy, sweet and sour sorta stuff.I ordered 3 items 1. Khausuey 2. Chickpea mix Chaat and 3. Gol Gappas, it took them around 20 minutes to prepare the food and serve.First we tried Khausuey, it tasted like oh we just found spicy ice cream faluda, rather than noodles they put boiled thick vermicelli, overall it didnt came up to expectations as we had heard the hype. Then came the channa Chaat less 200g well we found it good in terms of taste but sour potatoes were literally stale. Finally, we just dared to gulp on the Gol Gappas, tiny little Gappas very extinct in quantity were abnormally put around the bowl of sour water.Gappas were quite soft and deformed due to keeping in open air and humidity and the chatni sour liquid was smelled like concentrated hydrochloric acid.Going to Channa Bites did not come so well for us, maybe in future they feel what they are selling is below the standard of hygienic food and may improve the quality. Till then bye bye CB.
Actually I went next to LaLa ki bethak restaurant that was gooooooooooooood
Diabetes Clinic
Its a good place for take away comparing to dine in
Food taste delicious but its has become overcharged now
Khausa is good in taste but quantity is small according to price Rs300/ for small bowl..
I tried their khawse, chana chat with khattay aaloo and dahi phulki which is quite tasty.
The chaat is absolutely delicious.. Has everything what a chaat should have plus they tailor the chaat according to ur taste
Best gol gappay in karachi town ..... must try
Oi was relatively pleased with their mix of traditional and foreign foods
Pani pori is out standing
The khausa was not good at all! And the pani puri was okayish. Wont recommend anybody to go there and try their khausa as it was over expensive (Rs. 300) for the quality that thay are offering. Also the ambience is pathetic. Who puts their potato sacks inside their eating hall. Also their chairs werent clean. 4/10
Fresh, delicious and perfect spices. Even the yakhni taste quite good specially in winter. Must try...
This place is providing delicious food. Their pani puri and karhi chole are yummy. Prices are also reasonable.
