A nice and cozy place, this has been a crowd favorite for years. There is a reasonable offering of drinks and snacks but you dont come here for the food. You come here for the ambiance and to hang out with your friends. There is a distinct left feel to the place, made explicit by the murals on the walls, and reflected in the kind of people who frequent this place. Many are regulars. There are a handful of tables here and though there is always a good crowd, rarely do you not find a table. The service is nice and polite. The service staff has not changed for a while and they remember your preferences even if you come back after a while. I usually go there after meals for a drink and to wind down. A fairy tale entrance with arched trees leads you to an open air seating area which works out well for Covid-19 restrictions as well.

A few friends and I decided to head out for a quick bite at a quiet place. Road Side Cafe did indeed offer that quiet place for us to sit and chat.We were first seated near the entrance and there was an unbearable stink from the sewage that runs outside.Anyways we moved in a bit more and found something that stank worse than the sewage and that was our servers attitude.We only asked him if their Cafe offered any other kind of tea other than doodh pati instead he responded saying everything is in the menu read it yourself and he walked away. Ofcourse after this we scratched our plans to stay for a bite of any sort.3 stars for the tea-3 stars for our server.

Not value for money. Though the environment was good but single noisy couple may make things uneasy, further the taste was just OK.

Its my favourite place to hangout and chill in Karachi. This is the original funky dhaba, its been there since ages. The staff is super. The menu is a variety of snacks and drinks, Desi stuff as well as wings, onion rings, etc. The murals are the most delightful thing to see here, pictures come out pretty fantastic. You can also play ludo or carom. I love Roadside Cafe

Best place to visit.. Best thing is the nature of people, and the attraction of the whole structure and theme.. We visited the location at around 11.30 am. The owner the Maam herself cooked Paratha for us. And they serve us the breakfast. However, they were close at that time but thanks to them they valued us and specially serve us the breakfast. Thanks alot to whole staff..

Great place but little bit expensive.

Roadside Cafe; a place to sit and chit-chat with a cup of tea/coffee, spend hours with your friends but dont even think about eating something, as they have the most basic tasteless and expensive food in terms of serving size. The ambiance and the service is fine but its definitely not for families. Little shady tho.

Its very cozy, casual and fun entertainment. Very good space for casual gathering and hangout. Great thing is the refill of Tea and Kahva. Wall art, graffiti, landscape and natural palette of furniture are the added value to overall ambiance.

Good place night gatherings. Indoor games are available and you can work over there on laptops. Special offer is that one refill is free on tea cup. Classical painting are there on walls of different celebrities, athletes, singers, politicians and leaders. Quality is good and rate wise it is not expensive and ambience are different. Pan is complementary on bill payment.

Absolutely baffling. I just ordered two cups of tea. The tea was nowhere near 210 rupees a cup. I could have overlooked that but the disgust of having bugs run around the table was just too much. No regards for a healthy environment. The management, its time for you to shine and do something about it.

Cool place to hangout, play board games or cards (provided).Food and drink choices are decent. Since this is an open air place, smoking is allowed too......prices are a tiny bit steep.Enjoy your visit

A very cozy and comfy place with youngsters gathered. The place also offers different games which is charged. The tea and refreshments were also decent and well balanced. Nice place to hangout with friends and oldies. Smoking is allowed but Sheesha is no longer allowed here.

Coffee was excellent.....one of the waiter must learn some manners.... if u r charging high for a good environment....then treat your customers with respect, their money is not free to spend on you by leaving much more better options and coming to you.......on the other hand...... excellent....clean ...and healthy....

Average place. They are charging very high prices for every item on the menu. Taste was also average. A small bun kabab costs us 320 and Chana Chat around 350. Dhood pati with one free refill was Rs 210.Seating arrangement was also average or I would say below average compared to the amount they asa re charging.To my surprise they also charged us 13% service charges in addition to GST (with no NTN or SNTN number mentioned on invoice). Speed of service was slow.

Great service. A Son to the owner (about 21 yrs), coordinates excellent services. The cafe is a vibrant meeting place for young entrepreneurs; I witnessed several business deals sealed. They also serve great Pakistan tea (boiled with milk) (I took 2 mug fulls!). I want to be back here one day .....

They have really nice environment and the most attractive thing about this cafe is that they have given tribute to all the legends of Pakistan old and new. Youll see so many peoples painting on the wall.

Overall, not bad...... but in terms of its cost,1/5 in terms of value for money !!!!

This is my all time favorite place and I have so many memories here. Unfortunately after sheesha got banned the rush faded away but thats probably best because now you can enjoy some peaceful bonding time with friends here or just go read a book and enjoy their fantastic snacks and hot and cold beverages. Cold coffee is amazing here so oa their bun kebabs. Dont forget to have doodh patti with free refill

Nothing screams more hipster than an over priced bun kebab and 20 women discussing aurat March women sitting next to. Love the art work though. If this place was more hipster theyd relocate it to Brooklyn.Highly recommended if youre trying to impress your feminist date on how cultured yet grounded you are.And my favorite bit is finding out the dabbu you just played was RS.500 after playing it .

Fell in love this place as soon as I walked in. Obviously, its a little pricey being near boat basin. Had a bun kabab, which was great and decent drinks as well. Best part was the sophisticated crowd.

A good place to chill at

Good place to quietly slide into some privacy. Snacks on the offer are nice - chaats, ban kababs, omelettes and tea. However, the place doesn’t have AC and it is covered with trees and roof so even with the fans it gets really suffocating and warm and full of mosquitoes for which they burn a lot of coils which may even kill you besides the mosquitoes.The price charged is premium. Parking is sufficient. Service is slow.

Always a pleasure coming to this amazing place. Coming here specifically for food would not be a very good idea but if you want some peace of mind or if you are looking for some artsy place, thats your spot.

One of the best kept secrets in Boat Basin. Loved this place. Absolutely fabulous murales on the walls remembering many great personalities. We played Caram with cousins and simply had chai so many memories at this place

Its a really good place for tea only with good ambience. The reason why i gave them 2 stars is because I tried their chilli bites once, and i had a severe food poisoning later that night. Never again am gonna eat anything there, but just tea.

Nice and peaceful aimbiance - perfect for a lazy afternoon in the winter with friends. Food is also pretty good. Only drawback is I think they dont accept credit cards

Service was terrible. Nobody came to take order untill we shouted for a waiter several times and evenetually went to the counter. Had to do this twice as the waiter never came back after serving the first order. And the order served was also the wrong item btw. Chai was very good. Food was ok too.
