Khairabad Tea Shop or more popularly known as Khairabad Restaurant keeps in my memory from as early as 1987 when I started my career with Forest Products, Al-Manzoor Building, Opp: Khairabad. For a starter like me, meals at Khairabad was maximum once in a month. However, we often would have tea there to show the world that we were adults at the age of 16. The environment was quite same as many other Iranian restaurants and the tea was delicious. In earlier days, Khairabad was a favorite stopover for Karachiites to discuss their favorite politics, with bits of weather and social affairs. However, when I visited them during this lockdown on 19-June-2020 everything was dull and deserted. Yet, it was comforting to find the doors of Khairabad open to serve take-aways.

Have been visiting this place for the last 5 years. A busy place in Lunch timings.It is what you call a traditional Irani Hotel and i guess its older than 40 years or so.They have BBQ too and alot of different food items. sitting arrangement is fair, and taste is good too.They also have perfect tea, which supplements the food

Good food value for money and good taste. Chana Dal fry , beef kabab and chicken jalfrezi are recommended options. Chelo kabab is also good. One of the oldest restaurants in Karachi. Doodh patti chai after lunch is a must at khairabad.

Desi food with delicious taste. Old style seating arrangement. When you are in Saddar near I.I Chundrigar and craving for desi food so its a must go place. Daal chana fry is recommended.

Went on an assignment & ordered tea after walking from Pahlavi Restaurant to Khairabad Tea Shop. It was very delicious & refreshing. It was the typical sweet doodhpati. I will go there again for the cup of tea. The owner was very cooperative & allowed to photograph him and his restaurant. It still has the original ceramic tile floors & high back sofa chairs.

Ambiance of the place will take you back to the 80s. Food is good, so is the service. Rates are a bit steep when compared to the other places in the vicinity.

4 stars for food variety and taste. Its not fancy restraunt but one of the oldest in the area and famous for its prawn biryani

Not good tea options like others. No separate tea. Waiter charged more than actual bill.

Good lunch deals. I enjoy having their BBQ items. Prices are normal. Not expensive.

Lovely food and a place for sharing a views and opinions with Friends

A nostalgic place for me, because I use to visit that place with my father when I was a kid. On that time, visiting Any Irani restaurant made kids so much excited. And the chicken Tikka was like a dream for us.So after almost three decades, I visited that place again. Now it becomes just like a #IranianCafe , but they have #barbQue and many other food items too.The place is still #pocket-friendly because you can get a complete meal for a person in just 200 RS to 300 RS.But now its not accessible for wheel chairs, and for the people who have different abilities, because there is no ramp or entrance for wheelchairs.#letsguide

QUALITY INGREDIENTS AND FRESHLY PREPARED FOOD.

I give two stars because chillies and onions pieces in omelette are quite big, rates are ok, ambiance and cleanliness is not up to standards.

Good place for Refreshments having Tea Paratha. ️

Nice place to have doodh pati chai with pizza paratha.

You should try their chicken pulao, or chullu kabab. One of the best items. Friend fish is a little spicy but a good value for money.

One of the best historical place established at 1932.place where quaid azam also visited and many famous personalities like qaim ali shah,imran farooqh,moin udin haider etc best place for reporters in 1985

I tried breakfast with fried egg and parathay and it was delicious (and very very cheap).
