Great ambiance and food. Fine dining at its best even by covid standards
Great Ambiance with perfect lighting. Specially loved the large french windows giving the restaurant a spacious feeling. Overall the food presentation and service were excellent The food was quite tasty and not overbearing with spices or sauces. You could actually taste the meat in each dish. For starters we orders chicken pot pie, pineapple beef salad, and stuffed mushrooms. All were good. I like the chicken pot pie the best. Pineapple Salad was served in half cut pineapple which was a nice touch. For main course we had Veal Chops, Chicken Miso, Red Snapper, and Beef Fillet. Although the Beef fillet was a bit dry and over cooked all other dishes were done fabulously. My favourite would be Veal and Snapper. For Dessert we had the Belgian Tart , Three milk cake, and Chocolate orange cake. If you are a chocolate lover than do Belgian tart. The chocolate orange cake was also good but not as good as Flo.I would go there again.
I dont see the hype. Its good food but good is the only word I have to describe it. Its not certainly pricey and the restaurant can do with some maintainance. Especially that god awful noisy fountain in the middle of the room that splashes water on you.The complimentary bread was very good. I enjoyed that more than the main course which was avacado oil prawn linguine. The food could definitely be better. However the main was much than the famed lotus cheesecake. That was just plain boring.
Very savoury food. Ordered grilled calamari, roast fillet of beef, crusted sesame fish and fruit pavlova. Calamari was quite ambrosial. Beef fillet was juicy, tender and had original taste. Fish was very soft, light and tasted good. Fruit pavlova was very nice, albeit they must have topped with more fruit. Ambiance is nice. Overall great experience.
Amazing ambience even on the pavement in this covid times, the food, presentation and service also top notch!
Recently came across great reviews about this new eatery that has opened up at Ittehad (the road across PSO).Thyme RestaurantComplimentary bread: Loved the roasted garlic, olive oil and balsamic vinegar compote. Olive bread was nice but denser than I’d prefer.Tomato soup and stuffed mushrooms for appetiser: Delicious. But I’d still go to pompei for the shrooms. The mains: Red Snapper and some shrimp spaghetti. Spaghetti was sloppy and tangier than necessary. Go to cotie rotie if you want a nice shrimp linguine. Now the red snapper was something I’d go back for. Originally served with lemon herb sauce on top, but I requested for it to be served on the side so I could pour as per my preference. Luckily, they served an additional black pepper sauce and I was in fish heaven! Perfectly cooked snapper with a delicious black pepper sauce on top! Loved my main!Dessert: Victorian sponge cake. So so so damn good! Who is their pastry chef! Going back for that one too!Overall: Beautiful interior, courteous helpful staff, great service, wonderful ambience and good food. I’ll be going back.Total bill was around PKR 4-5k for two people
Good n decent place for couples.Limited menu with good taste
Best restaurant for quality and serviceAnd menu not like a thick bookSimply fresh and in the best commerial area of DHA
The set up is beautiful. The food was good but not amazing. I ordered the stuffed chicken with risotto, the chicken was a little chewy but the risotto was amazing. My friend ordered a chicken parmesan, which was underwhelming. Our drinks were wonderful though - Raspberry Spitzer and Mint Juleps. For dessert, we had the Belgian Chocolate Tart and Strawberry Shortcake - both of which were pretty decent. Particularly the strawberry shortcake. The setup is very beautiful. Currently undergoing a revamping to straighten out kinks. They also offer private bookings, for which there is a cosy, elegant setup in the basement.
Opened up on a Sunday for us! Am so glad they did. The food was superb from the soup to salads, appetizers and mains. Lovely Sunday lunch with excellent service. However their catering service is just useless. Plz never call them for catering. Their service is pathetic. They were asked to cater for 55 ppl n they brought food for only 20ppl. And the rest of the food came after 45 min. Half of my guests left without eating. They ruined my dinner event. Pathetic!
The place was neat and clean. The service and food was good but the quantity was less and the price was high.
Really liked the way the place is done up, very tasteful and quaint. The food is also quite good, tried the Arrabiata pasta which was packed full of flavour. The real winner is the dessert though, that Lotus Cheesecake is probably the best one in the city. Would recommend Thyme for special dinners or for a regular dessert day out
The blow torch prawns were brilliant and so was the miso chicken (missed photo capturing that) but this pistachio tart has me addicted and according to the waiter, this is an in house recipe from the owners themselves. Also, go for the raspberry fizzy they have on the menu.
Not going to lie, this was literally the best food Ive ever had in my entire 25 years on this planet. In order of appearance:BBQ Miso ChickenRack of VealSalted Carmela CakeLotus Cheese Cake (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) @ Thyme Restaurant
Very good fine dine restaurant. All the items were beautifully presented and excellent taste.
A seasoned restaurant with Mediterranean and international food and style. New Location is off Ithehad. Spacious and comfortable. Cool stylish interior. Great food, as always. Blow torch prawn, four cheese Rivoli, pan fried salmon, penne arbiata, and Teragon chicken. Soft hot buns with charred garlic was a good idea and scrumptious. Very well mannered staff.
Food is not good. Disappointing
Awsome food and ambiance
Thyme is considered one of best restaurants to open up in the past year or so. We were two couples and after many plans to visit we finally got there! Our experience was enjoyable and we found the food ingredients were top notch but found the talk on food groups had built up way too much hype in our mind. Alhamdulillah though we didnt really have any negative experiences.Let start by saying the Dessert was marvelous. The Lotus Cheesecake was just the right blend of taste and the Tiramisu had that amazing kick of coffee that may not jive with the normal Pakistani palate (the waiter tried to talk us out of it).The complimentary bread that was served was so good we actually asked for more. Served with Garlic infused Balsamic Vinegar and Butter on the side, the only thing that disappointed was that bigger portions of both of those would have been better. The Tomato Soup was just right and not the standard soup from a can you find in most places. The Blowtorch Prawns starter had 4 decent sized prawns in a slightly sweet glaze which was good. However, I wouldnt say they had a wow factor to them. The Beef & Pineapple salad sounded exotic but it didnt impress us much.Wanted to try the Chicken Crown and Gnocchi but unfortunately they only serve 5 portions per day and we were out of luck. The Pimento Chicken was your standard Moroccan Chicken seen elsewhere around Karachi with a slightly more zing. The fish we ordered on the Specials menu (something Fish with Chilli Oil & Lemongrass?) was a great choice. The famous Rack of Veal had been highly recommended and while it was indeed well executed and a great filling portion, it maybe was the most hyped up item in our minds and thus fell short of expectations.Overall at Rs 10550 (before tip) it actually ended up slightly below the expected Rs 3000/- per head which is a good thing no doubt!Overall it was an enjoyable dinner despite not living up to our mental image.
Absolute fine dining. Loved the lotus cake
Been here a few times & you cant go wrong with this place. A very selected but tasteful menu from starters to some of the best desserts in Karachi. Sharing my favourite. #VictoriaSpongeCake
Food here is prepared with love and passion
The ambiance was really great. The food itself was really delicious. And the quantity was just right. Not too less that you feel hungry and empty stomach and not too much food that you cant eat and its left out.
Amazing food and ambiance! The service was fantastic too.
One of my favorite restaurant, their starters and desserts are die for
Brothers AC Cool point &Electric
Very delicious food and a very good ambience. The service is polite, though the waiter taking our order suddenly stepped away, in between the conversation, to attend other people who arrived and hence we weren’t sure if our order had been taken. Other than that, it was all great. Sesame crusted fish and Belgian tart are highly recommended.
Great service, relaxing ambience and delicious food. One of the best fine dining experiences Karachi has to offer. Highly recommended. Was looking forward to the veal but it wasnt available when I visited.
One of my favourite eateries in Karachi with the best desserts in town.
The ambiance is very good but the food is below average. The Seasonal Salad was filled with mayo sauce and the stuffed Chicken had too much of mustard taste. They were gracious enough to make me an off menu item (spaghetti with red sauce and prawns) but the chilli and oil drowned all the flavour. All in all I would suggest people not to visit this place not only for its taste but for the value as well.
Superb quality and taste - . Considering that we were a large group at dinner, we got to order salad, soup and main courses and everything was delicious. It is recommended that you make prior booking as I noticed that many groups had to leave due to no prior reservations. Service quality has room for improvement, hopefully the management will take care of that aspect soon.Highly recommended.
Excellent medium rare steak and out of this world lemon poppyseed cake! Worth every paisa.
Amazing and very scrumptious food a bit pricey but worth every penny.setting is modern and very contemporary with very well behaved waiters guiding you about the food.We very carefully selected the dishes. one salad one starter 2 mains from Chicken and one pan fried fish and we r glad we chose these.best companion with the food turned out to be classic lemonade.its a proper fine dining place so people looking for burgers Pizza stay away.for pasta lovers they have 3 or 4 dishes.
Visiting Khi and friends took us for dinner. Loved the prawn appetizer and the main meals. Yummy food and desserts and excellent customer service.
Only one word, perfect.
Very expensive. Not much variety of foods.
Great ambience, great food. Their signature veal was awesome; succulent and tasty!
One of the worst experience Ive had!Okay lets start from the beginning, the ambiance was good Ill give you points for that the waiters were decent so the service wasnt that bad either but thats not what feeds a human being now does it.Moving on to the food (now comes the part which has not left me traumatized but also proven the fact that a lot of people with money and no experience or taste buds have gotten into the food industry hence the short life of the restaurants in the city). For starters the bread basket or tray was fresh and tasted decent which gave me hope not too sure about the garlic but thats an acquired taste so cant shift the blame entirely. There were 3 couples so we ordered a few items1. Hummus which tasted fine you cant go wrong with the hummus atleast but the bread wasnt a great match as nor the portions of the bread left us unsatisfied.2. Moving on to the main courses 2 portions of parmento chicken were ordered as soon as they arrived one friend joked that yay to curry(kari) chawal agay, naan lana bhool gay the food was ordered with a hit of tanginess and spiciness and also the chicken seemed as it was malnutritioned probably fed at thyme too and it smelt really bad too. When using frozen chicken then learn to cook it properly and hire experienced cooks.3. Beef with turkey bacon was ordered, the turkey smelt soo bad and tasted bad too that even after being covered in sauce the smell and taste could not be changed, it was sent back and when bought back after another excruciating 20 mins it tasted the same.4. The only thing that cant be complained about is stuffed chicken.5. Saving best for last! The pasta omg! ONE OF THE WORST PASTA I HAVE TASTED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE AND THAT INCLUDES BURNT OR RAW PASTA!!! it tasted so bad that we didnt have the courage of sending it back as some poor animal may get to eat that when chucked in the bin and that would be animal cruelty!6. The drinks were overrated too apart from the Pepsi that was ordered. All in all the food tasted like theres a bet going on to see how thyme can get away with serving unfit for human consumption food and still get away it and for how long. The waiters overheard our entire conversation regarimding the food and they couldnt carel less as not once did they come to ask how the food was and if anything could be changed or improved. The price we paid was obscene if restricting it financially and phenomenal if I include the wastage of time, experience and the horror the taste buds had to endure. After being robbed of 13k we all went to buy nuggets/fries and rolls to feed us and which absolutely did.You are requested to either close down your establishment as you can imagine what I am feeling to write such a detailed review or a rant some might say..The owner is also requested to contact me directly with the proposal of compensation in mind.Thank you.

What an amazingly restaurant. Great food. Unbelievably great desserts.
Good Ambiance, Good food, Excellent service
A very full of ambiance place. It was soothing view and atmosphere. You can spend an quite evening there
A great fine dining experience in DHA phase 6. Limited menu but good service and excellent food quality.
Soothing mbiance, decent food and excellent service. Best for small gatherings and parties.
Nice ambiance and amazing delicious food
Good food but nothing to write home about. Better options available at this price point!
Good food and ambience. On the pricey side but alright for once in a while. Avoid fries thou, too much for normal fries.Had the Penne Arabbiata and Chicken Tarragon and both were good in taste
Went to Thyme for lunch. Was with a VVIP so could not afford to miss. The salad, main courses and desserts were fantastic. Best service I have ever had in Karachi. How do more people not know about this place? It is insane. So in case any of you folks need a cant miss type place Thyme is it!
The food here is EXTRA ORDINARY
Had a chance to visit this place. Appetizers were good but mains were not that impressive. Ordered pimento chicken, Chicken was overcooked and the sauce was quite hot though the dish was suppose to be spicy and tangy and mix of various spices but all i could taste was hard chicken and only hotness of the dish. Loved the cheesecake though and will definately visit for the cake again. Looking for an improved experience on next visit.
The food is really good. The staff was very courteous and the ambiance was amazing. A must visit for dinner specially.
So there is a lot of noise of it being great . But its good. The taste needs to improve overall. The ambiance and the show is great, but the taste needs to evolve
Consistently providing good food..waiters are very accommodating/friendly..changed my salad as the cucumber was bitter..prices a tad high but worth visiting again and again..
Food was good, ambience is nice friendly staff
Recently thyme has been added to one of my most favorite restaurants in Karachi. From the service to ambience, taste + quality of the food and the lovely natut of the owner, its just 10/10.
Generous portions. Had the veal chops. Not spicy enough so asked for some black pepper sauce to liven it up. Good meal
Sophisticated nd a calm place with quality Food...loved it
This place is great, good food the prawn fettuccine was good. But the desserts were outstanding
Liked them for their dessert and service. Mains were just ok.
Nice lication
Great ambiance, friendly staff. However, food was not exceptional. I was told the place is famous for deserts and Im a big fan however deserts were ordinary, rather sub standard. If it was for food only Ill give them 2 stars.
Good ambiance nice taste but limited menu
Food quality and ambience was fine but quantity of food not at par with other restaurants.
Went there for dessert. Ordered Triamisu, chocolate orange cake and Mango Marbles. Everything was amazing. Their Triamisu was the best I ever had. Will definitely go there again. The rates are on the higher side, a little heavy on the pocket but worth it.
Loved the meat of them - ambiance is very good. Highly recommended.
Mixed bag with the food. Make sure you clarify what you expect to get on your order. The torched shrimps are nothing special, dont be fooled by the shashka of it. Stay away from the ravioli, beef was generally good and so was dessert
It was a beautiful place, it had this homey feeling to it and had good service and the food was wonderful and one if the tastiest Ive ever had
Absolutely incredible, i would come here any day of the week! 10/10 ambience and even better food. I would recommend the Victoria sponge cake, and the Pepper fillet beef, its a must try!!
This place is for fine dining n with a great ambiance... speciality it is Best for deserts cooked by the owner ...
Great food. The owner gave us a private tour of the private party halls and they are beautiful. The decor is so warm and contemporary.
Food/atmosphere /service just ok need more more improve ,,, cheese cake is yes good
Loved the deserts worth thr visit! But have to make a reservation!
I liked the fact that it was a small n cosy setting. Yes, it could get over stuffed, but such was not the case. The ambiance was nice, bot loud and noisy like some upscale places.
The food was really good. Pleasent atmosphere, attentive service and a owner who was very open to advice and feedback. A must go.
Decent food, really nice ambiance, but overpriced for what you get.
Nice Ambiance, good food and service. Hopefully they reconsider the birthday celebration policy.
The food lacked flavour and staff was rude. Bad experience
Great ambiance, great food.
A bit too pricey but great service and interior . good for a fine dining experience but not for casual dinners .
Amazing food amazing ambiance
Taste is not upto the mark. Prices are high.
The basement ambience is boring, lotus cheese cake is not bad
The grilled calamari was undercooked and the torch shrimps were very bland and tasteless. The main course of sesame crusted fish was lacking any flavour, the sauce had no authenticity. The pasta was also not good . I had very high expectations coming here becuase of the raving reviews I had seen on Google. But incase youre reading this I can assure you that they are all fake . Food is very bad .One good thing about this place is that the servers were very nice. 1 star.
One of the best romantic place for dinner with many new dishes
Good food. Excellent desert. Great service. Friendly staff.
Nice ambience delicious food service needs to improve.
Amazing food. perfect service.
Best restaurant in Karachi
Great
Ambience is good. But food quality isnt much worth the high prices
Good startersAverage mainsExcellent dessertsAwesome service and ambiance
Service was fabulous.. And on time.
Good food, service, and ambience. One of the better new restaurants in Karachi which has seen many restaurants start and falter.
