A decent 4 star hotel with facilities of all the standard aminities and all.Unfortunately, for some odd reason, the place could never generate the kind of buzz and I personally feel they have also been responsible for the same as they never tried to change.Still quite affordable and lovely environment to relax and enjoy

Affordable hotel ball room and swimming pool superb, vast parking ground

Previously this used to be a reasonable 3 star hotel. Now its an ideal and safe place for couples and other midnight activities. Not good for families or business visits

I usually find the right side of any situation but Regent plaza is an exception. We booked through Agoda on our way on motorway. We werent expecting this so called 4 star place to be so rundown and filthy. Our bad experience started from the reception where the Duty manager Mr. Safdar behaved all against the hospitality rules. They used the typical karachi street language with each other without caring for the presence of guests. They had no clue if the hotel was registered with Agoda and gave all the lame excuses and bad attitude. We had already paud for 4 nights so we could not leave just like that. There was no synchronization between between departments and luckily their I.T personnel found our reservation. First room shown to us was supposedly clean but had hair on room floor. Bathroom had used shampoo and soap. Rooms are in terrible condition paint falling off the ceilings windows dirty and bathroom smell bad. No electric kettle or tea supply. Its during the stay we found out that their cleaning standards are down in the dumps. No vaccum cleaners available to clean carpets, the bath tub was clogged flush was running and bathroom was flithy dirty. It took the team of two housekeeping staff to clean the room in less than 5 minutes so the level of cleaning can be imagined. Breakfast quality and hygeine is not good so we stopped taking it after first day. Staff was unsure of services and items to be provided to the guest. Butter and jam were out uncovered that too in COVID situation. The list goes on and on. unprofessional and casual service attitude was unbelievable, right from the valet to duty manager, waiters and housekeeping. The hotel is a no go specially during COVID 19. It has no fresh air or ventilation on floors. Rooms and corridors are suffocating. DO NOT BOOK Regent plaza hotel even in dire need.

The hotel has huge potential to be awesome- however lots of work needed in cleanliness of rooms and bathrooms and removal of flies in the lobby area. The food quality needs to be improved too. The place is large and gives a grand feeling- which is great. The pool is also nice and clean.

Very smooth Check-in/Check-out.Everything was well presented. Quiet, relaxed atmosphere.

Hotel standard better but food stuff not good

I won’t give it more than 3 stars as the cleanliness of the whole third floor was just pathetic. The lobby carpet was loaded with dust as it had never been cleaned or vacuumed. Same was for their rooms. A few were better than others but no above average maintenance was observed.The rooms are spacious, well lit, comfortable but again, not tidy. Amenities are ok for a 3-star hotel. Buffet breakfast was good, had many options in both typical English and continental food.Room charges are not high considering other ones in the vicinity. However the overall ambiance was kind of down & dull. Unfortunately, did not have a good experience.

The place may seem really good from outside. But its absolutely ok from inside. The rooms are really old like stained tiles kind of old.... lines of rooms on the inside have absolutely no ventilation..... u cant smoke due to smoke detectors in room as well as in washrooms.... food was ok but the service is really terrible..... breakfast buffet was till 1030 but one day i reached there at 1000 and everything was finished and u really had to ask for each and everything and u wont get half of them..... value for money is extremely poor..... extraordinarily high prices of food and still quality as well as quantity was sub-standard

Overall service was very poor. Food including breakfast was below average.At 10PM we got notice from management that AC will not be working whole night.It was my worse experience.

There was a wedding ceremony i like it there was pool and summer camp

I have visited first time after a fire incident in 2016 but was very impressed with their safety arrangements. They totally transformed the hotel from safety point of view. Great work by their Security team.

Regent plaza is considered as average hotel in Karachi. Last year a big fire was observed there after that it was closed. Now its reopened but unfortunately due to last event the costumers are little bit shaky. However all basic requirements like swimming pool, gym dining hall etc are there.

Not well maintained. Broken tiles,dirty poshish,old furniture even the customer services desk is in worst condition. Breakfast is not tasty at all..

The hotels location is the best thing about it! Secondly, the look & feel of the hotel from the outside & the swimming pool area is really good. Otherwise, the rooms are not as clean as they should be for this price, the staffs dealing & attitude should have been better. Overall services & luxury needs improvement too.Summary: if location is your primary requirement, this is very useful for you but keep in mind the quality of services & rooms is lower than the cost of the place, so you will have to make do with it.

Been there on a number of times. Please consider this rating as 3.5 stars only. Partially clean and neat outlook. Main lobby, floor lobbies / galleries look better in cleanliness than the rooms. All rooms are spacious. Some rooms are better in amenities, equipment, cleanliness etc. Whereas others are even below average and not properly maintained as should have been. Staff service is also just average. Food quality, well not tried all the options except buffet breakfast which is better with lots of options. Room rates are on relatively lower side. Pool area is good though however, the seating facilities are now getting older quite visibly. Parking is not much but still works. Narrow and fewer entry /exit points.

No space reserve for Namaz. Food was ok. Washrooms were not clean. Lack of staff who can facilitate.

Service was pathetic and the pool water gave me an ear infection. Food was served cold. Staff would mistreat. Anything that was ordered was sent late. And the roof leaked water. The room was dirty. Toilet had plumbing issues.

I am a PAF officer. Just checked out from Regent plaza. The room 543 that i stayed was stinking and smelly. Moreover before check in i categorically asked if the dinner was complimentary. After a yes from receptionist, i booked the room. but during checkouti was charged Rs 1600 for dinner.i stayed in regent few days back and was offered complimentary dinner. i didnt asked for it. when i asked staff why i was offered complimentary dinner few days back. He informed that was wrong.Senior management to get involved to save this hotel from getting abondoned. Atleast myself and related offcrs will never come here againPathetic and confusion prone staff......

Decency best describes the micro environment of Hotel Regent Plaza. The new ambience has changed my previous negative perception of the place .Attended business dinner on Pool side of the Hotel previous evening with foreign delegates and business chambers.Food was delicious . Grilled Lebanese chicken , khumus tasted so well.Prompt services . Place is quieter considering its a hotel. Some good business talks with friends and variety of food made it all pleasant and light . It also expelled negative perceptions I had of the hotel.I would like to come to this Hotel again. The antiques shop attracted me to brass &copper made decoration items. Prices reasonable.Intend to purchase some as wedding gift to someone who resides in UK.

Everything was best including rooms, washrooms and other services except that they put an old bill about the cost of stuff in the refrigerator. Like we took a bag of chips from the refrigerator seeing its price 75 but on the counter they asked 175. Thats a hug difference. And the cashier was pretty sure that we are wrong about the bill in the room. He apologized at the end. But we had to pay the original amount

Five star hotel in downtown city

British Council hired Regent Plaza as an Examination center ... Students are inside and parents are treated like cattle and parking ... unexplainable... It is just chaos.

Rooms are good and spacious. Stayed there for 2 weeks and not a single complain with them, staff is very helpful and humble especially the room service and cleaning staff. Breakfast buffet is also very good with a decent menu. Swimming pool is very clean. Food is also very tasty in their restaurant, overall amazing experience :)

The room is clean and well managed on day to day basis, the washrooms are however another story. They are clean sure but due to wear and tear they appear dirty. The hotel needs to renovate the washrooms, the taps leak, there is smell in the washroom and baby cockroaches as well. If you are staying here to spend all day outside and spend the night sleeping in hotel.

Regent Plaza and Convocation Center is located at Main Shahr-e-faisal Karachi. It is rated as 4 star hotel. Ambiance, Facilities are best of its kind. A part from Hotel Rooms, Cafe they also provide services to Educational and Informative Purposes, Gym, Sports activities, Summer Camps etc. Room rates are reasonable as compared to their facilities. Overall a good package.
