Quaid E Azams Residency is a place to visit if Youre visiting Karachi. It gives You some true feelings how our Quaid lived in the past. They have some real belonging of the Quaid and Fatima Jinnah. They somehow renovated the entire building which gives a new and fresh look at the residency. The very own cars used by Our Quaid and Fatima Jinnah are still placed in the premises. The timings to visit the residency is from 8am till 6pm. There is no entry ticket at gate which is good though, so You can visit it for free. You cannot take pictures inside the building of Quaids and Fatimas belongings but You can click some stutters from the outside.

A very calm and peaceful visit to the main residence of Quaid e Azam. All room are still alive as someone is living here i.e. bed room, dressing room, dinning hall, breakfast table, sofas, dinning rooms, pictures on wall, crockery, shoes racks etc. A bright, well lit, airy home structure can be observed with lawns, galleries and car parking. Many gifts from different countries and decores received by Jinnah family are still there. The visit is free on saturday and sunday. Cloeing time is 4pm. You can find expert guides here who can tell stories of place.

There is no entry ticket fee, you can enter for free, all you need to do is hand in your NIC prior to entry, and can take it back after finishing the tour. There is a guide available for those wanting to know more, although the guide wasnt of much help, in my opinion, I much rather preferred reading the signs which gave more information about each room. But, the guide was in quite a hurry, he continually asked us to move along, not giving us the chance to read the signs of the rooms properly. The rooms inside the main house were well maintained and clean, the garden outside couldve used a little more work. The cars used by Quaid-e-Azam were looking almost new, despite considering how old they were.

Review №24

One of the best historical place depicting Quaid-e-Azams lifestyle. Taking pictures inside the museum was not allowed which is something I felt was the right thing to do since you are there to witness history yourself and it gives you an in depth experience to think about how decent and yet so elegant the Quaid of our nation was. Overall the place is well maintained. Tour guides are available who provide a brief history of the place and how it was used.It is recommended that we visit this place on any national holiday like 14th of August because then there is an audio/visual room which opens for public to hear Mohammed Ali Jinnahs speeches and other recordings and never before images of his time as the Governor-General of Pakistan.

Built in 1850s by British and bought by Quaid e Azam sahab in 1940 for 150,000 rupees with his own money, lies an architectural marvel right at the start of Shahrah e Faisal -- the backbone of Karachi.Photography is not allowed inside the building that recently got the renovation completed in 2018 on the original style and decoration.Inside the main building are the bedrooms of Mr. Jinnah and his sister Ms. Fatima Jinnah alongwith reading, guest and dining rooms that are spacious, airy and well-furnished.There are servant rooms near the (once) horse stable (now a library), a big kitchen in the middle and guest rooms on the right.Quaids cars were also renovated from the dust and rust and shows the class he had at that time.Opened on Saturdays, no tickets required.

Quaid House Museum is a beautiful Victorian style building that contains many of the personal belonging of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The whole setup gives a very good idea of the life in 1940s and 1950s.The caretaker is a very knowledgeable person with comprehensive knowledge of history and facts / figures related to the construction / upkeep of the building. Considering the fact that Govt. of Pakistan only spends Rs 6000/- (US $ 60/-) per month for the maintenance of the museum, the caretaker and his staff are doing a wonderful job in maintaining the facility in a reasonable shape. However, the museum certainly needs attention of the Govt. of Pakistan / Govt. of Sind. The museum is a great source of education for the children & elders alike and certainly needs to be better maintained.

Such a wonderful place. Everything was so attractive. It was a big house of more than 10000 yards. A wonderful, well maintained lawn. Quaid-e-Azams study, Fatima Jinnahs dressing, the dining , the telephone, and tables all were awesome. After being there inside, I felt so proud so royal to be at a place where Our beloved Quaid-e-Azam Mohammed Ali Jinnah used to live. The caretaker have kept the rooms as it is, all set. We were only allowed to go in rooms only some steps from enterance where they have kept a glass partition. We were not allowed to touch anything as they have preserved everything. The classic thing was 2 of the personally used cars of Quaid-e-Azam yellow and light green in a big glass box garage besides the house building. Not a single spot of dirt on cars. The house was fully secured with guards.
