So, I have been a die-hard fan of steaks. I have tried them from the best restaurants in Pakistan as well as abroad. For the first time, I had a steak which took me to the seventh sky. Steak CFU is indeed an exceptional place to find some exquisite steaks. The one I had was so perfectly seasoned, well-cooked and flavoursome that my taste buds were literally dancing with joy. The chef came to us herself, asked for our preferences and cooked up a mildy-spiced steak. Many people would say that mild spices can make the food bland but the chef managed to transform this dish into an unforgettable experience. Just the thought of it is making my mouth water again!

Visited with a group of office colleagues during lunch hours - the initial experience was a little anti-climactic, as the ambience of the place is pretty sub par, and not as spacious, as you would usually attribute with a steakhouse on that kinda price range. Nevertheless, seated and ordered.Few of us ordered Tenderloin Beef steaks, a Flat Iron Beef steak and a seafood steak platter. The service was decent, and the food was served rather quickly (we were the only patrons). The serving size is generous to be honest, the taste is good, but I wouldnt classify as extra ordinary. We found a tiny shard of glass in one of our colleagues platter, which was duly reported. The staff offered us a free side as compensation, which we politely refused. Reasonable experience overall but weighing against the price tag, I was slightly disappointed.Expect an average per head cost of about 3500-4000 at least. And when youre charging that kinda money, at least ensure theres no glass in the steak ;)

If you are a fan of steak or even good food you better scram to make a reservation here. Don’t forget to order desserts . Even though outsourced the selection of cheese cakes are delightful. CFU is an experience not to be missed. ️

CFU definitely has one of the best steaks in Karachi. I’ve only been there once. I’ve been told they had reservations for weeks at times. Ofcourse I wanted to see what was the hype all about. Well, I can tell you the hype was almost worth it. Maybe 80%.Anyways, Chef Rida greeted us when we entered. Very polite and friendly. Explained all the steaks that CFU serves. It’s been over two years since I’ve been there, hence can’t recall what we ordered. But honestly it was delicious. The quantity was great. More than enough for one to be honest. I’m a huge fan to roasted garlic. And trust me I’ve had it at so many places but either it’s a few seconds under cooked or a few seconds over cooked. If you’re a foodie, you’d know a few seconds plus or minus for a roasted garlic can ruin your meal!The garlic was perfect done. Very juicy steak. Excellent tase.However, the steaks were a little pricey I’d say. I probably wouldn’t go there everytime I felt like having a steak - not bcuz of the taste; but maybe cuz I wouldn’t want to spend around 5K on a single meal. Nevertheless, this place is a must visit. You’re missing out on something if you haven’t tried it out it!

Decent food, great service, but the use of local beef makes it a bit of a question mark. The ambiance was fine till some noisy and rather loud customers showed up. The place feels a bit cramped for comfort. None the less, Id visit again for the food and service.

The food is fantastic and absolutely worth the price. My experience was good and the serving was also nice. The chef came in person to guide us through the menu and also at the end of the meal for our opinion of it.The amount of food per person was quite enough; for most women it will be more than enough. Highly recommended for stake loving people or anyone who wants to try a great stake.PS: The staff was very considerate and provided place for the prayers when I asked them

A very nice steakhouse. Ordered chicken and beef mexican style stakes. The servings are big and enough for two. Although on side snd salads they have different options but we were served with all items which is very pleasent. Cheese filled mushrooms on side and potato veggies are big catch. Really liked taste of food. Slchef herself takes order. This place is more of a small casual cafe style. Pre reservations are highly recommended. Food is served quickly. Slightly expensive.

Experienced on of the best steaks in Karachi. I ordered a Medium Rare Tenderloin Steak with Mexican Spices and the empty board is the sign that it was a worth every penny. Great Ambiance, Great Steak, Great Taste.

Wow. One word for this place. It completely lives up to its hype. We were lucky to drop into this place without a reservation and get a place. The chef takes the order herself and is super nice and recommends well. One issue though is that the overall serving is way too much and is actually sufficient for two people. And so in the end youre kind of over eating. Nonetheless beef was super amazing with the different flavors of sides and salads bursting in your mouth. Loved the garlic side.

I think one of the very few places who i think knows how is a steak really made. The steak was juicy and just the right temperature. The sides were okay though also the place is very congested. So much that even if we whisper the people sitting next to us coul hear us easily.

A very underwhelming experience to be honest. I went to try supposedly the best steak in Karachi. This is not a fine dining place considering the price point so I was waiting for the food to blow my mind. I went with the chefs recommendation and within 10 minutes my food was served which means it was already prepared and sitting in the kitchen. The sides were good but the meat was actually cold. I told the chef but her response was that medium rare steak are served at this temperature. I didnt argue too much as me and my wife were celebrating and I didnt want to ruin her mood. I have had better steak at food courts in malls across China.

Good value for money with absolutely amazing tasting steaks! Albeit, the lady at the restaurant taking the orders and recommending food came across as rather bossy. Lets just say the food was ordered for us! However, when it came we were absolutely delighted! We went for a beef steak and a sea food platter. The beef was tender and juicy just as a good steak should be.

They should work a little more on explaining the Menu a bit more. Do they like pink circles or not? Question like that. The place was very clean and ambiance was perfect. Overall it was a good experience.

Its a very small place, just steaks in the menu. Very little choice in the steak flavours. On top of the very little choice in the menu, almost no choice was given to us by the chef, she seemed like in a hurry and chose the steak cut, temperature, flavour, all by herself very persuasively. I was trying to choose sirloin cut, but she was forcing the tenderloin. Then she said shell serve me sirloin also separately. When my order was served, I liked the sirloin steak tips very much better than the tenderloin...Then she chose the salad option also herself. I understand if they want to recommend what they think is very good in their menu, but by doing that it seemed we didnt really have a choice. And I ordered different flavour from what she was trying to force, still when my steak came it was the flavour she was forcing on me.The steak was good, but the salad and side lines were below average.After the meal, dessert was served, with only 4 options. Strawberry cheese cake was good, but very little topping of strawberry.

Small dining place. Not the most elegant decor. Ordered the steak platter (with Argentinian rub) and tried the seafood platter that someone else ordered. Both very good. Maybe better than any other steakhouse in Karachi. However, sides left a lot to be desired. And the less said about the desserts the better. Would go again and again for the steaks but CFU needs to up their game on the rest of the items in my opinion.Should add that the service was excellent and the staff will help you take a decision on what cuts and rub to order

I have been to many places that serve steaks in Karachi but have never been to a place that worships it. CFU doesnt just serve steak it serves a proper experience that should be given to meal.The Chef takes order himself and describes each individual item according to each person.The sides are well accommodated and should be considered when placing your order.All in all, best experience that I ever had for a fine dining.

The steaks are so tender that itll remind you of the times you had your favorite cotton candy. The meat is so juicy that every bites makes your mouth water up in anticipation of the next bite that is to come. Oh and the sides, they compliment the meat so damn well; a perfect combination of sweet and savoury that makes the dining experience even more wholesome.

Had a chance to experience their steaks last week, ordered the Tenderloin and OMG it was amazingly tasty with the spice level just what we wanted. Loved the place! It takes a couple of days to get a reservation and they request you to be punctual about time but it’s really worth it! Tried both beef and chicken platters, cooked to perfection and the sides were packed full of flavour. There’s a lot on one platter so sharing is probably a wise idea.

I am holding my views about the product and the place, have found much better places than this one.

Overall really good experience. The meat quality was excellent and medium rare cooked to perfection. The jamaican chicken was impressive as Im not a chicken person. The Salmon filet was very nicely cooked but other seafood items were lacking finesse. One key item was missing that would really imrove the overall meal: Some fresh baguette or freshly baked bun rolls to add carb factor to the meal.

Its difficult to get a reservation but the wait is definitely worth it and part of the experience. I had the tenderloin as it was the chefs recommendation and it was, to say the least, cooked to perfection. CFU is an one of the most authentic steak houses in the city, those who order a medium rare steak, be excited, because that is exactly what your going to get. Not the best store layout but the entire restaurants focus is geared towards the FOOD.

The steaks were wet aged for 21 days. The head chef takes your order personally and tries to help you out as much as she can. The place is on the expensive side but you are paying for the experience!

The best steak i have had in Karachi without any doubts. From start till end the service is excellent. Chef Rida is not only an expert when it comes to cooking but also wonderful at making you feel at home by engaging with everyone and personalizing the whole experience. One of the good steak places in town. Their serving style was great. The staff is courteous and the chef personally takes the order and makes recommendations as well. The serving size is very good and hard for one person to finish the steak by himself. They have 30% discount on Bank Alfalah Platinum card after which this doesnt seem like a bad deal. Otherwise the prices are too steep and wont be good value for money.

Finally someone who not only know how to cook a steak but also know how to manage their restaurant. They had mixed up the timings of 2 groups of 8-9 guests each, but the way they handled it was awesome. Loved the place and food and music.

I am gonna go ahead and say I was clueless about the menu but Chef Rida Alam Khan spent a quality time to explain it & helped us to make a suitable choice based on our likings. This is a highly sought after stake house in town. Went there through reservation. It is a small place that gets filled up quickly. Yhey have a limited menu with all-incluwive price depending on the type of meat. True to its reputation, the chef can either choose the food according to your desire, or you can choose from a menu. The food was worth the hype. We opted for medium-rare with Argentinian spices. Ended up being a good option. Seafood is also good, though we chose Desi which was mildly spicy. The serving quantity and sides are quite filling.However, the desserts were downer.

Loved the hospitality of chef, as she takes order hy herself and gives best suggestions. I liked their tenderloin steak in which the baked garlic was served on a side giving a very nice Aroma to the platter. However, their grilled chicken was not up to the mark and no taste. Just a over hyped & over priced cafe with nothing appealing..Ordered a single sea food steak. It was the most tasteless sea food i have ever come across.. moreover sides were as ordinary as they could. The Dessert (Lemon cheese cake) was served in a bottle; who serves like this. One of the best beef steaks in k-town. You have to reserve your seat on Mondays as its a small place and limited seats are available. The sides are not very tempting though all sides are offered complimentary. Chicken steak is average. This is one of the expensive eateries compared to others in the locality.
