Excellent Service.I Went for Motocycle transfer which was done in 10 minutes.Here is the process1. Ensure that your documents are complete. (You can get complete set from small container on left side of main gate in front of Biometric/facilitation counter.)Biometric is not required.In my case even Seller was not with me. I went alone as Purchaser.Documents Required:a. Seller & Purchaser ID card Copiesb. Transfer Applicationc. T.O formd. Form Fe. Verification by Inspector2. Go to Motorcycle Counter which in on right side at the end on entering Excise gate.3. On right side is Inspector office. Get your document signed from the Inspector.4. Once document signed Submit it on the counter beside Inspector office.5. Pay Rs:150 and get the Slip with date of receiving documents.You are done without any Agent.Agents are charging 1500 to 2500 for this process.

Very complex and unmanaged system.No body there for helping or facilitating a new man(first visitor).No proper service and facilities.A lot of agents there who take there fee and do your work.Excise inspector is located on Pakistan sweet home road.

Today I visited this office to get my car transferred. I was really happy to see the attitude of the staff. I was treated not only with a lot of respect but also helped / guided with a very pleasant mood by everyone. In about 1 hr time, I was through with everything and driving back home quite satisfied.The only troublesome aspect was no proper parking place, I had to park at a very congested place roadside.My advise to everyone, plz visit this office yourself (disregard agents around) and you would be returning happy.

Excise taxation office is now open (after CORONA LOCKDOWN).Timings until 3 30 PM. Break time 1 30 to 2 PM. Mosque / Masjid at back of the building (Zuhar 1 30pm). Canteen also at back for tea, mineral water etc.

Extremely poor web portal. Half of the day it fails to load. Now come to Contact us tab. Landline number which is mentioned remains busy till the business hours come to an end. If you want to email at the mentioned email it always bounces back and if you try to add the so called whatsapp number, it is not associated with any whatsapp account. They should learn from the Punjab Excise department in this regard which is far much better updated and user friendly.

My review will be a bit long. So bear with me I hope it will clear some doubts in your mind. I want to transfer vehicle ownership to my name and when I read reviews and forum posts then I was confused and thought that the process is very difficult and it is better to find an agent who can transfer it to my name. But on second thought, I should at least give it a try. The process looks difficult but it’s not impossible. First you need biometric verification slip from seller. I got that and I downloaded the forms from the website. The forms are pretty straight forward. You need signature of seller on couple of forms and rest you had to enter your own information. You can get these forms from excise office as well. I am sharing my experience with less than a 1000 cc car. The process for more than 1000 cc cars is a bit different . You can get information from information desk as well.So when you go to excise office you need just properly filled forms, biometric verification slip from seller and original vehicle documents or smart card of vehicle. Go to counter 1 and get signature from inspector. He will check your papers and stamp it and put his signature and return you those papers. Then move to counter 5 or 6. Here they will enter all your data and generate a bank challan form which you have to pay in the national bank branch. The branch is present in the office premises. 1000cc cars had life time token now. If your vehicle token is already paid life time than okay otherwise you have to pay token fee as well. After you deposit the fee at bank. Now you have to submit forms to counter number 2. You have to pay smart card fee here as well. After that you will get a receipt and expected date of smart card. You can check the smart card status on the website as well.Now overall experience was quite good. The reason I am giving five star review is that at least they are trying to make process as easy as possible. I know there are still some issues and I guess these are common in all public sector offices. There are confusions, You can’t get some proper help. Agents are every where and you can see they can get a signature in seconds whereas you have to wait in line. I know it’s frustrating but it takes time to fix all these issues. Staff behavior was really good. Some people had bad experience but mine was quite good. They talked professionally and guided me as well where necessary.

Can some one please tell me that excise and taxation islamabad office is open now a days or not, i need to transfer my car to my name.and one thing more, do i have to take the owner with me to the office to get his biometrics or how will he give me the biometric verification on the form. is it possible for him to give it on the paper from here or he has to go along with me.?thank you very much

This department is totally running with bribery. You can anything by giving amoung under the table. No proper management.

There is no communication from office about timings after pandemic whatsoever, nobody has curtsy to answer calls or update website, or issue a press release about public dealing of office. A perfect example of corrupt & incompetent department.

Poorly managed. Entire setup is kept ambiguous and difficult to Promote Agent commission and cases through them.ETOs sitting at front desk prefers transfer agents or prefers their transfers irrespective of line discipline.

My rating is based on older experience. Just wanted to let you know their working time these days is from 10am to 2pm.

My biometric was going to expire on 8th May, so on 6th May I decided to go this department from Peshawar, it was a hot day of Ramadan, so before going I visited its site and saw it is opened today and daily from 9 to 3.30 , off on Saturday Sunday, so I started my journey, and when reached there, security chacha just told me that it is closed and no work is going on, so think about the scenario yourself......

This is a place where you and registration or transfer a vehicle but no one will help you and guide you there.

I have always got what i needed, in a reasonable time. Avoid rush hours. Asking questions politely i have been answered politely and well assisted.

Very poor customer service and management. There is no parking for customers who are visiting the office to pay huge amount of taxes.

The office deals with million of vehicles, but lacks proper parking. It is needed to improve the quality of services because their is always a rush. Please make the registration and token tax submission more easy. Also make more services online or open more branches in different areas of the city. I would like to see their offices even in other bigger cities of the country, so that people dont have to travel for little works.

Highly populated place. Prepare self for haphazard and long queues. Only ATM is National Bank which will never work so make sure u have enough cash. Poor arrangements.

Went for new registration for my motorcycle. The process was disastrous. I was completely isolated of what to do next, the people who are dealing with public has serious attitude problem. They didnt even bother to help person standing on the counter instead people were getting into the cabin to do their work.The agent sitting outside had direct contact with the people working inside the offices. They charge extra money to process applications. Both are playing monopoly with the citizens.

Agents have a mafia in the excise departmentThey have people standing in lines and keep giving them papers so the line never moves.

Procedure for transferGo to website and download transfer documents and fill the forms both seller and byer will sign and do thumb impression in the respective slots also attach their id card copy the seller will provide biometric verification to byer avalible at any nadra centre . Byer will also provide a stamp paper that he will be responsible for any descrepencies left . After completing documents go to excise office and u need to sign documents from inspector after that u have to go to counter 6 or7 and get the slip for payment of transfer fee which is 1200 rs smart card fee is 1462 remember if your vehicle is 1000 cc and your token is not clear u will have to pay life time token as well which is 31000 for non filers. And 21000 for filers lifetime.Afer paying fee u will go to counter no 2 to get your final slip from there thats it . The procedure is very straight forward there is wating time involved if u need more information there is information counter avalible hope it helps u guys

Not at all systematic. No parking for cars. No mechanisms to ensure that people follow lines or some sort of numbered token system. Almost half the people moving around there are agents who will stand there, break lines and use connections to get things done for you in exchange for money. Staff is not cooperative at all. Half of the rush and problems will go away if the agents are removed as they create congestion. The system is designed to force you to pay the agents to get things done.

Islamabad Excise & tax department doing very well

Revised rules states all vehicles up to 1000cc needs life time token. Which for filer is 21K and for non filer 31K Pak. Rupee. General informations display lacking, peoples needs guidance. I will recommend display boards or display monitors at the enterence. I found them quick to manage the windows crowd. Agents are outside trapping people to get immediate services but the process inside is also simple and mostly one window operation. Just due to crowd one need to wait. Area is not well spacious, not well shedding, not well ventilated or fans provided. So when you go take an umbrella with you. Only one ATM is installed which may have problems the other nearest one is in HSE office, next door, as well as toward the main road crossing.

People have to wait longer in humid and suffocating environment. Overall a rubbish public office in the capital.

Pathetic....this place is like Guantanamo bay prison...to punish those who come to pay taxes...and the punishment is extreme....one who come to pay token tax has to stand in line for at least two hours in 45 Celsius....the roof is of carogated sheet which makes the temperature 2 Celsius more...its not strange after two hours in line your turn comes...they make a objection on your papers and you need to go back and fix it and then another two hours...its like treating citizens like prisoners in colonial rule....the smart card fee is 1462 rupees but they collect 1500. Agents/touts are there who penetrate in lines making people suffer more..

An excellent effort to provide transparent way for vehicle registration, transfers etc. Parking is a big issue.

Currently timings are Mon-Thurs (09.00am to 03.00 pm), and for fridays 09.00 to 12.30pm.In case if you are going for life time token then remember also get NOC from the post office where you were submitting token yearly.

Be aware before visit excise taxation, check the timing from webpage, each service havibg different time.. 9.00am to 3.30pm

Most pathetic place ever , after paying tax for 7 years for my 800 & 1000 cc cars & standing for 6-7 hours in line I am told to pay 31000 & 21000 for both makin it 52000, all my previous taxes gone in gutter, Allah hi waris he bhai!

Even tho the smart card was supposed to be delivered today, these lazy moleses hadnt even processed the case. I was to bring the file down to the concerned office, they have made public their PNs. Very dissatisfied!

In this place there is no facilities for coming peoples especially in hot weather.attitude and behaved of concerned officers are not well. And many more problems here wanted to solve them at immediately basis.

The Government seriously needs to look the condition and environment of public departments like Excise and Taxation Department, Islamabad Traffic Police Licensing etc. If this is the state of affairs in Federal Capital, one can imagine how it would be in other cities. First time, went to get my bike registered, the guy at the counter kept going somewhere during the service for long durations. Got the plates and registration form quite easily.Next time, went to get a vehicle registration car. The guy at the help desk/counter was chilling under an AC. It seemed at if he had not had breakfast because his voice couldnt even reach me. I misunderstood him because of that and he responded very rudely, unfit for a person doing public dealings. Got two low quality paper forms for which I had to pay 20 rupees. A simple photocopy of good quality paper costs 2 rupees, and I had to pay 5 times the market cost just to get two forms just because they were not available on the internet. Attached the forms in case no one wants to get ripped off

Excise and Taxation departments one window operation is excellent. long manual lines system is finished. they need to work on document delivery timings. they take too much time. every little thing takes months. secondly they Agent culture need to be finished seriously. they have displayed postures that entry of agents is not allowed but they are always roaming freely and hunting customers.

No Parking and proper guidance for General Public. Long queues of masses for Token and transfer issues.

There is good change in the transfer of vehicles. System is good but is difficult to uderstand for first time. Lot of agents are roaming around for ur help, but take lot of money. Always ask ID name phone before handing over papers. moreover there is no proper place for parking and for examining vehicles.

Excise and taxation of is situated in H 8 sectors near the metro station.This is for registration of New vehicles and payment of annual motor vehicle Tex for Islamabad register vehicle.This is a very crowded office the biggest problem faced is that there is no ample space for car parking.Usually it is very crowded office,thay have implemented the token system under which one have to arrive this office before 11 AM. Senior citizen are given priority.For annual token payment there are six counters but here none for senior citizen.

This place is quite rushy... you dont have a parking here so you have to park your car outside the office building at the side of the road..... procedure for registration is a bit complex, so only visit on a day on which you are completely free and have no commitments cz you never know how much long its going to take.

There should be adequate car parking space available here because during work hours a lot of vehicles are parked on the road outside which provides for traffic.

Time taken office.Most time consumed.New commer i.e customers dont know the whole procedure.The best way is the Taout way.Give much amount to an agent and become tension free.Washrooms are inside.Customer Seating are inside.Purchase forms with file on Rs:40 only.Non filers i.e non tax payer cant apply for vehicle documents.

The new building is more customers friendly.its at door of Faizabad metro station. Go inside after checking.ask wheel chair access area from guard..take application and go to guide center and pay 100 rupee to supporter to guide you and save time..bank is inside the building for token payment

Its not easy to make out the procedure. I went there to get a car registration changed from Quetta to Islamabad. The information desk said its not possible. One of the officials said that its possible but one needs to get 2 NOCs: one from MRA and the other from Crime Branch of police from Quetta. Even then it would be processed to the DG who may approve it. The official also suggested that ETO Rawalpindi will be able to do it. I went to EGO Rawalpindi who said that its not possible. There were some facilitators who were willing to do a transfer of ownership change for a fee.The overall procedure of a simple case of registration and transfer within Islamabad seemed sorted out.Theres no parking area. Be prepared to park in ditches in the green belt opposite the office.

No brother. Excise and taxation office is a very accurate department. And if anybody says fish mandi. Then its mean he is not human. Coz every information displays on board.

They procedure has been simplified a lot. Follow these steps for new car registration1. Get forms from the Info Centre on left side of gate.2. Fill the forms. Anyone can fill it easily.3. Get the forms signed by Inspector / ETO from Room #2.4. Get the challan prepared from the counter. 2-3 windows are available.5. Pay the challan at internally sited NBP branch. There is a separate line for single car registration. This is mostly a long que and may take 30-45 minutes. (If u r two persons, one person to stand in que when u enter the ETO to save yr place!)6. Submit yr documents at counter 2. If u want to request for a specific number go to Room 11 on 1St floor first. The officer accommodates the requests. No charges for non golden numbers.7. Get the number plate immediately from its designated place.

No gidelines about the process,.Many stages of the process are not clear and are kept in total dark.All this to promote agents and trouts...!!!!!!!!.These indication boards are not providing all required information..Speacially, if you want to register a new car, attest the auction conducters nic or passport, whichever is available.

It is impossible to get 5 star from I because I benchmark service standards expectations with international service level agreement.ETO Islamabad(vehicle registration department) Nisar is a true gentleman and a very generous officer.He respect time value of general public and is working diligently to maintain standards despite a very busy schedule.I had personal experience of meeting him on 6th Feb 2018 and he has assisted in getting the vehicle form F /challan immediately despite office timing was almost finished.Thanks and keep up the great work and rest assured public will always recognise it.

Typical ambience of Pakistani govt depts with rude n ill mannered clerical staff.System needs overhaul or complete change ,building roads n metros will do no good to citizens in the long run.I went for transfer of my car at 1.30pm after obtaining Transfer Letter. I went to the clerk in counter 3 at 2.00pm who told me and others in que that time is over, however he kept on accepting the transfer cases from agents.I decided to lodge complaint in ETO/Director office but found none in the rooms as everyone had gone well before 4.00pm.What a beautiful country!!!
