The smell of garbage and overflowing toilets and the sight of broken buildings and mediocre outlets has marred this once bustling place. The lack of cleanliness and the clutter is very disappointing to see and the spawn garbage everywhere is just tragic. The overflowing gutters and the stench of urine near the so called food street is a testament to how low the standards are of the people that visit here.

Very popular and one of the oldest markets of Islamabad. Food market also here. The only cinema of Islamabad Melody Cinema was also here. I watched a film Bulandi of Shaan and Reema first time here at Melody. But now a days it has become barren.

This area needs a close inspection by Govt regarding hygiene of food, quality of food with respect to prices etc. On the other hand this area is very much near to redzone , and public offices, lot of people work over here from remote areas of Pakistan , therefore a hostel could be constructed on large scale by Govt which should be well furnished on cheap rates. This will certainly resolve problem of low salaried people.

Eating places are normal/fair. I once had a Logo made from one of the shop.

The melody food market civic center is very good place. There are so many shops which are serving their products. Theee are so many items available there. Also a cup of tea is very famous there. Overall there is very crowd in working days. Some one told that there is very difficult to take their Mel etc due to over crowd. There are also sitting chair covered with umbrella shape hood to secure if any rainfalls come or in the winter seasons to save from the cold. This point is very convenable for middle order peoples also.
