Close to Islamabad. beautiful.
Silent place to gain peace of mind...beautiful lake surrounded by little mountains...
Good
Kinara park must be organized. Life guard should be there and also security.
Good picnic place for families . consumers itams are with high price . parking facility is ok but charges are high and very far from view points. Boating price are also high. But in general its good if youngsters adopt batter behaviour and attitude.
A good spot to enjoy the nature at Rawal lake ! This place is on the opposite side of lake view park ! You can take along snacks / tea on your own ! Its undeveloped site of the lake ! One can see various species of birds ! A clam & quite place ! A treat to nature lovers
Nice place to relax.
Good place but boats are too much expensive, if u going from bani gala to lake view park charges 5000 Rs from one side.
love this place
A great place to visit. Needs attention of authorities
Beautiful lake view
Rawal Lake (Urdu: جھیل راول) in Pakistan is an artificial reservoir that provides the water needs for the cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Korang River along with some other small streams coming from Margalla Hills have been set to form this artificial lake which covers an area of 8.8 km². Korang River is the outlet stream of Rawal Dam. Rawal Lake is located within an isolated section of the Village Malpur, Bani Gala and Margalla Hills National Park
Great place for outing a couple of hours, fishing and boating activities allowed. There is a canoe club near dam site. Eastern or Bani gala side of lake is best and most original, non built up area. Garbage is every where at lake, every site you visit.
Very beautiful. Full of natural beauty.
Rawal Dam was constructed in the 1960s to overcome the shortage of water in the Twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. It is built on Kurang Nalah, which is a small but perennial water channel having its source in the Murree Hills. The lake itself has an area of around 25 square kilometers. The land where lake is situated was home to more than 4 to 5 small village settlements and the people living there had to be relocated to other areas. Old Murree road used to go through here also. The villages inundated were very old having some old mosques and a Hindu temple. Whenever the water level falls drastically one can see these. People have occasionally found old relics and coins there. The Dam is under the control of Punjab Small Dams Organization which has an office and a staff colony nearby. The Dam has 8 flood gates and 2 irrigation channels. The one on the left supplies water to farmlands in Chak Shahzad, it was listed as Sharf Minor. The one on the right carries water to a nearby water filteration and treatment plant that supplies drinking water to the Twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, it was known as Shahana Minor. The lake and adjoining areas are under the control of Capital Development Authority. It is home to many native and migratory birds. It is also home to many animals largest among these are wild boar, mongoose, squirrel, pangolin and one can rarely be fortunate enough to see Barking Deer, Asiatic wolf and Red fox but these are getting rare and rare due to increased human activities. The lake has a great variety of fish local and introduced as well.It used to be a very popular place for fishing and other water sports. But the last government had imposed very high fees for the fishing permits and the angling clubs have moved the court in this respect, with their point of view stating that angling is a healthy sport and it shouldnt be made this expensive for people from all the classes can have access to this healthy activity. There were concerns about the quality of water in the lake after the reports of flow of contaminated water from the settlements upstream. The same issue has been resolved as per CDA statement. There are 2 rest houses across from the spillway, one is operated by the Small Dams Organization and the other one is operated by the CDA.The Murree Road borders the lake on the western and the northern side. The area on the northern side was previously known as Green Woods. It was a popular place for anglers and campers. This area has been developed into a park called Lakeview Park. It has an aviary, galleries onlooking the lake, Barbecue stands where people can cook for themselves and have picnics. The place has fun rides for children. A paintball gun arena and a motorcross circuit.Although the place is very popular and people come here in large number, the facilities here are not up to the mark and demands efforts in this respect.
Good place for enjoyment outing
Sight is very good but, people make it full of garbage

Its amazing place to visit in Islamabad
Very beautiful place
Good place to enjoy sunsets and sunrise
Good place
Why I am giving this one star rating? This place as dirty as it gets, the banks of the lake is filled with toxic and plastic wastes. Thanks to our people!, There is no cleaning, whoever comes here dump their waste into it, be it for picnic or locals, everyone seem to think of this place as some nature recycling centre for waste. I wonder if the management even exists or not.
Nice seen ever from bunny gala point
