One of the very old restaurants in Islamabad. Well maintained, taste is good, food is good. Serve indoor and outdoor (good to go with outdoor option). Dam-Biryani in Chicken and Mutton is a new addition on its menu which is really good in taste as well as presentation (I adore it). Service is good; however, a few staff members are quite old who have been taking orders for so long, seemed tired of taking orders anymore. They need rotation, I guess. The prices are also a bit on higher side as Chicken boneless Handi (600grames) is 1,550+tax (7.5% GST). Overall its good to try. Credit card facility is available, home delivery service in nearby sectors is also available.

The best taste and quality of food, Staff behaviour & services are excellent. Everyone should experience at once and especially have fried rice with Chicken seekh kabab .. Keep it up guys and try to always maintain the taste and services.. best of luck

This time i missed the taste which was used to be. I visited after 2 years but found taste so so. Tried chicken karahi and malai boti. Need urgent improvement in kitchen part to attract people back.

Better to take cash with you. Otherwise they will take the card and report fake error that can shock you. And eventually you pay the cash after embarrassment they cause for you reporting fake error on your card. Later when you call your bank that what is the issue with card, you know the real story that they intentionally avoid card payment to be saved from record.

Such a pathetic experience.Rates are too high. A two serve murgh makhan serves only single person. Waiters dont respond if u have ordered a small amount of meal. Furthermore, tax plus service charges are additional costs.I highly NOT recommend this.Worst experience. I wish I could had visited a simple QUETTA Cafe. Their taste and correspondence is much better than these guys. Never visit guys if u have small pocket.

Dont go there unless you want to waste your time and money. This restaurant should be closed down. Absolutely horrible food!We ordered Grilled Jumbo Prawns, Chicken Tikka and a Boneless Chicken Handi.The Prawns were neither grilled nor jumbo and they werent cooked either. Prawns were so hard you could not cut them with a knife. The sautéed vegetables on the side were also so hard. We didnt eat any of them. The Prawns were battered and fried. We specifically asked for grilled and after serving fried prawns they said this is all we have.The Chicken Tikka was so oiled up it wasdripping with oil in the hot plate. The Handi was the least worst of all.We frequently go to their other branch in F-10 and that is much, much better.The G-8 branch should be given the contract for prison food.

It is good but needs lots of improvements especially the taste of food which was just eatable today. To be more clearer, this taste cannot attract one to cover long distance and come to Tandoori to dine here. Cooks need to be guided to claim 4.1 star status.

A fine place to sit and read newspaper or surf facebook and food and everything is ok until you see the bill. Too costly food that you can spend on other good options around. Not recommended.

Very expensive, rude staff, late service . It was a nice place earlier 3 years ago but now with passage of time it looses its qualities. The quantity of eatable are always less than what they have written. NO MORE RECOMMEND TO ANY ONE.

Well tandoori is one the pioneer restaurant in islamabad but still have an updated menu choose for its customers.Location: located in G-8 , the area is well covered with trees bushes well maintained , an fountain in the middle ; nice sound (music). Overall the ambience is good.Food: I ordered tandoori special fish (which was a bit disappointment) and combo (53 on the menu card ).Special fish was more like a zinger fried fish ; not much fish but more than the coated in the butter ; although the taste was good but not what I requested.The combo was good, it consist of Chinese rice almond chicken and 2 piece of drum stick ( loved the drum stickThanks for the complementary green tea.When it rains it’s open air and inside sitting area is not large.The waiters description are not to be relied upon.

They all were asking each other and they person who served me, reused to recognize me.After such a horrible experience I now go to other restaurants around preferably to Lavish Restaurant, which is only a few meters towards East.

Food was very nice especially the mixed platter.But the biryani rice as well as afghani pulao was over. Had to have the amazing platter with chicken fried rice. Not a nice combo to have.
