Highly recommended. This is a lovely area either to have a picnic play with the children or go out onto the lake., The boat rides are a must either during daylight or in the evenings. Lake View Park is a recreational area and wildlife spot located along the Rawal Lake.

Nice scenery. Kamran Cafes pakoras are sumptuous. Tea is good. Visit the place if you are not in a mood to spend too much and want to be close to nature.

Walking track is along the dam is excellent, boating is also available. Food wasnt that good. Overall Not a bad place to go.

A park with eye catching greenery along with Rawal Dam, good jogging track but a bit noisy when you walk at road side track. But this adds in beauty of Islamabad.

Rawal dam is most popular place in Islamabad Rawalpindi. Before 10 years its only dam, but now its converted in park plus rawal lake view point. Rawal Dam Park ( Ankara Park since 20th March, 2005) located on the area between Murree Road and Rawal Dam bund, starts from Rawal Chowk and goes upward to the joining point of road and bund near Islamabaď Club.Its a newly created park as previously it was in the shape of Jungle. Its a spacious park having big and tall trees and beautiful landscapes. Jogging and walking tracks have been built and benches to sit and enjoy fresh air have also been provided. To keep it clean dust bins have also been installed for using and other measures taken in this behalf. I am surprosed that no clean public restrooms erected for the facility of visitors and who use to come over there daily for morning or evening walk. On the opposite side there are number of hotels & Motels for example, Dreamland Motel the oldest one, lake view Motel, Regency Hotel Ramada Hotel some Banquet halls and also Islamabad Club and the persons stay in the these hotels have matchless oppotunity for morning walk to visit lake and inhale a lot of pure neat n clean fresh air full of Oxygen to get fresh their respiratory system and to provide pure oxygen in the blood. Any visitor of park can go up on dam bund and walk upto Spells way of dam and may has a beautiful eye catching view of lake early in the morning little prior to sun rise and right at the time when sun is rising. I like this park much and request to CDA to provide neat n clean public restrooms in the park, water cooler for drinking water and good conditioned sitting benchs and other seats in the parks.

This track starts from Ankara Park and goes on in parallel to Murree road, till Islamabad Club with Rawaldam on the other side. The track is not much used now and is halfway closed and restricted area. But it is a good place for a peaceful walk before the sunset, if you want to spend some time reflecting.
