Its a good place to visit. As far as my stance I prefer original things. I found most of the things are replicas and some kind of menequins wearning the traditional dresses of pakistan. Well it doesnt meet my expectations. But its worth to visit.

A beautiful Place to visit, it have an Iconic Landmark, National Heritage Museum, a Beautiful Garden, stunning views of Islamabad City, a cafeteria with beautiful views.

Its a beautiful place to go with your family. Its really big and neat. Many places to eat and drink tea/coffee near the car parking area. I removed one star only because it has bathrooms but you have to pay for them every time you use them. This park has many places to visit and it has islamabad view point on 2 places both being beautiful in different ways. One is behind the Pakistan monument located at the edge of the big park and the other view is located just above the special tree with famous president names area. Also check out the Lok Virsa museum just next to the Pakistan monument (you have to buy a ticket for it tho its very cheap). There is a souvenir shop near the entrance and exit to oak monument as well. Hope this was helpful.

It is one of the best recreational sites in Pakistan and Islamabad with very economical prices and rich resources and activities. There are indoor and outdoor facilities and activities. However, better maintenance and cleanliness can improve it a lot.

Had an amazing time at Lok Virsa Mela last week. Stalls for traditional, cultural items for sale from Punjab, Baluchistan, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa, Sindh and Gilgit Baltistan. Most of the stalls are run by proud women of Pakistan.

The old Gakhars tribe leaders settled here before Indo-Pak partition 1947; later the clan was relocated to create a park for newly marked federal capital of the country in 1960-6.
