It’s a must visit. The taste is so different than what other restaurants have to offer. The menu has a good variety. I don’t know about this being original Hunza cuisine or not but it’s a lovely surprise to the palate. The walnut cake was not good at all.Follow #sqthewriter on instagram for more detailed reviews.

Different food for authentic hunzai food lovers. Almost all dishes are served with dried apricots, apricot seeds, and walnuts. Food and presentation both are amazing. Mostly crowded by foreigners.

Loved the mutton soup and mango peach smoothie. The burger and fries were not to my taste, but the mutton rice dish was decent. What I adored most about the place was the ambiance and the interesting menu. It wasnt personally my kind of food but everything we ordered was of high quality. The waiters were knowledgeable about the menu items. Music from Hunza would be a plus.

Wild thyme is a one of its kind restaurant in Islamabad and locality. It is famous for offering Northern area cuisines particularly of Hunza and Gilgit Balitistan. This restaurant has overall quite peaceful and calm ambience. Furthermore, inside of place is well-decorated. Aesthetically pleasing artwork further enhances the interior beauty of this place. Although the sitting is area is quite congested due to little space.Things to keep in mind while visiting this place is that it is not recommended for spicy food lovers. As almost every dish at wild thyme is free of spices. And they usually have meat dishes to serve in their menu. So be cautious before visiting this place.Otherwise, it offers healthy and fresh food that are rich in aroma and delicious in taste. It’s a good option if u want to try something new for a change. The best thing about this place is cleanliness and polite staff, of course other than tasty food.Apart from eatery, it also sells traditional artifacts and relics of Gilgit Baltistan. Overall, it’s a bit costly. Rates are on higher side as compared to food quantity. However, it’s a must visit place to enjoy your food in cozy and calm environment.

A gem in Islamabad. Hunza infused delicacies with a twist.Great sauces. Mutton dishes are amazing. Have the mutton soup for sure. Tomato soup was surprisingly good too. The mutton dumpling is delicious. The chapshoro with mutton is great.Chocolate with walnuts is a great dessert option. Otherwise the walnut cake with ice cream is great to share.Lastly, the place is very personal and everyone who works there is passionate about food and eager to ensure an enjoyable dining experience.

An authentic Hunzai cuisine with a modern ambiance incorporating the traditional hunzai elements. The menu has plenty of items from soups and salads to interesting main courses and desserts.. All hunzai cuisine or the regular food with a hunzai twist. Was served Namak Paray with a zesty tomato sauce. That followed the appetizer - chicken dumplings.Had Hoi Garma (traditional spinach ravioli) which was great in portion (enough for 2) ..not to forget very delicious!! Also ordered chahmus (dried apricot juice) which I would say is an acquired taste.Overall loved the dining experience and the food.

Wild Thyme pretty much fortified our Hunza food & chapshoro cravings in Islamabad. This restaurant is expensive and offers Gilgit Baltistan cuisines. It wont disappoint healthy food eaters and it is NOT a place for people who prefer spicy food.. there are no chillies in the meals they offer..which is a good thing for a change. But I would highly recommend them to use more garlic and ginger as some dishes were quite bland. They also sell goodies indigenous to Himalayan region especially Hunza. Happy to find this neat little eatery located in E7.

Liked the food in a cosy environment. If you like a little change, this is the place to go. Service is a plus point for this restaurant. Soups and some dishes can be shared. Prices are reasonable, though expect to pay Rs. 2000 per head (gross). Try the desserts, too, they are awesome.

Four dilectable dishes:. Daudo soup (reminds me of balle soup in Skardu), these dumplings called Mantoo were pretty good, this buttery/ almond-based curry called Quroot tsay Qarqamutz, and finally the best:. Guuh today Qarqamutz, which was chicken breast stuffed with an apricot filling with this herb-based wide-noodled pasta. Outstanding!

One of the most under-rated discreet and exquisite restaurants of Islamabad, Wild Thyme is an absolute experience. From the ambience to the food that takes you to the beautiful valley of Hunza, this place is perfect if you wish to have a good time with your loved one in a quiet and cosy restaurant with excellent food and great service. It would cost you around 1500k per person.

Shayad hi mein itna excited hoon kisi bhi jagah janay k liyay jitna is jagah k liyay thay. Aur is ki wajah thi MY FAVOURITES. This was one of the finest Dinner I have in recent times.Just imagine sharing food with @foodstravaganza_ @mominaeats @food_o_phile and @decadencebyhania .The average food automatically become delicious because of the company.Khaer coming to the food. What we ordered1- Hunza Lamb Pulao (1,000)2- Walnut Chicken with Steamed Rice (Rs 1,230/-)3- Chaap Shoro ( Ras.820/-)4- Chicken Dumplings. ( Rs 630 for 3 Dumplings)5- Walnut Cake slice (Rs 570/ slice)So keeping it short and precise. The food was tasty without any doubt. But I doubt it was authentic Hunza cuisines or not.Lamb Pulao was like Kabuli Pulao, and it was no doubt very well prepared. The meat was tendered, rice was cooked to the perfection.Walnut Chicken with steamed rice was another tasty dish. But I could not find Walnut in it maybe they added it in the gravy in crushed form. It was more kind of butter chicken. Still don’t know if it was authentic or not.Chaap Shoro, Hunza panini. It was like paratha stuffed with khageena. Okay I am serious it was tasty but it was exactly like stuffed khageena paratha Chicken Dumplings were very tasty. The outside was prepared very well. The fillings of chicken mince was good. But according to @mominaeats it wasn’t as it is supposed to be. ‘Qeemay ka salan dala hua hai’ Walnut cake slice were a total flop. Like they were bitter in taste. Bohat afsos k sath kehna par raha dhoka hua tha hamaray sath.Overall it’s a nice small cozy place. It is expensive but worth trying. Different cuisine hai try zaroor karaen.Total Bill around Rs 6,400...#meinbohatkhatahoonFor more follow @goeathammad on instagram

The first of its kind. I havent had Hunza cuisine any better than this. The folks here have done an awesome job to bring the food from Hunza to Islamabad. Definitely in the healthy food category. The Walnut cake with the shalajeet coffee is a must try. I really liked how they have done the House Garma (spinach and a bit of pasta). I had the pleasure to meet with the founder, she is very warm and welcoming. These qualities can also be observed in the staff.Do check out the chocolates they have and also some of the items for sale from Hunza(Is there a sixth star that I can to the ratings above)
