Went there for hi tea.. one of the pathetic high tea one can ever have. Old and smelly food. Not at all recommended. Dont go on their intsa page pics.. trust me its not at all like tht.. ull regret..thank me later

Visited after a year with my wife. We can tell a huge difference. It was jam packed back then and tonight we are the only customer sitting in the nice balcony.1. Amazing views2. Responsive staff3. Greek Nachos tasted like namak paray4. The pepperoni panini was so thin my peanut butter sandwich is fatter than this5. Tempest stuffed chicken was enjoyed by the missus

Delicious food. Peaceful and calm environment. Nice service from staff. The biggest burger I have ever eaten :) Corona SOPs were being followed.

Absolutely loved their amazing food. The terrace is a great place to sit in addition to the indoor seating. Serving sizes are amazing and the food tasted great.

One of the few places to get a decent serving of tacos. Tried their Honey Mustard fish and chips (fried) with a side of potato gratin. Did not disappoint! Sitting area is small and cozy with an outdoor terrace.

The Mexican Platter. Absolutely 10/10. Highly recommended.

Sehri experience was as good as dining one. The best part was hot food servings. The desi platter and special sehri platter, both did justice to the taste and value for money. Paratha size was smaller than expected and one had to be ordered additionally. Aalo bhujiya didn’t come up to the standards of rest of items. Qeema from desi platter and potato gratin were the crown jewel of the menu

A great place for a snack, a satisfying Hi tea platter. Great atmosphere. Sitting outside in the small balcony in this weather is a great way to enjoy ones evening tea.

Since it was end of semester and I felt I deserved a good meal, decided to pay Shakespeares Lounge a visit before I leave for home. I had been reading its reviews almost daily so I was all too excited to check what the hype was all about. We ordered Alfredo Pasta and Stuffed Chicken. Pasta was amazing in taste, had good quantity, perhaps enough for two. Stuffed Chicken was delicious without a doubt. Had the mouthwatering lava cake to close off.A bit expensive place but if you are looking for someplace to treat yourself (like I did), choose this. Youll have no regrets.

They offer good dinner platter but i tried the high tea which is available between 3-6pm. Its good and enough for two person.

Loved the Italian platter but Cream of Mushroom was not worth the cost. Staff was very responsive and ambience was good

Its not decorated the way I thought a cafe by this name would be, but its still a pretty place.I heard that their pasta was really good, which is is why I ordered it. Its not fantastic, but its better than what most places serve in Islamabad.The service is pretty good, very fast, and I love how they give you the bill. It would probably be better if it wasnt an actual book because then your heart hurts a little because its falling apart, but still very nice.

A very good restaurant with extremely nice ambiance. Tried their hi-tea which is for two persons in Rs 1499/- that makes it Rs750 per head. A very good value to money and highly recommended option for those who love hi-tea with a very vast variety and the quantity is fine. Look to the pictures for more details

Pathetic place with extremely poor service .. they didnt even bother to set the table ..we have to ask for 3 to 4 times for plates and water ...we were sitting at the roof top ..everytime we had to go downstairs to tell them that we need something ...highly disappointed

I recently went for hi tea at Shakespeares lounge...we were two people and when I called for reservation, I was told that high tea is served for seven or more people only. Anyway, as my husband and I were planning since long to visit this place, we decided to go there. When I reached there, we ordered high tea and they served us. They were actually serving it to three more couples too. So yes, someone misinformed us on phone. The place is beautiful. Their crockery is lovely. The balcony seats, sunset, that beautiful old Islamabad feel is worth trying. Hi tea platter was good, nothing exceptional however the way they served was remarkable. THE SAD part is the PIERCED BOOKS hanging with light bulbs...and a torn book being used as a bill book. That actually made me sad....I was expecting more stuff available for reading rather than hanging with bulbs. Over all my experience was 8/10. My bill for hi tea, one extra tea, one small bottle of water was 1700 which is slightly over priced for the platter.Refers shabir

Pathetic food, untrained and dishonest staff. I ordered the pink salmon and in return i got pangasius (frozen fish) and the waiter insisted it was white Salmon and its equivalent to pink salmon, they didnt have it so they didnt bother asking for serving the wrong fish either, because they thought theyre very clever and can chicane anyone with a fish that costs 1/10th of the price of the pink Salmon. Returned the dish. Highly disappointing experience.

This restaurant is located on the 2nd floor, however, elevators are available. Parking is a bit of a problem in this area. We came here for lunch. Soup was good, however, fish was overloaded with salt. It wasn’t locally available salmon, which is pretty expensive, but the cheap variety imported from the far east, against which a lot is being written in the press. Other dishes ordered by our group were ok. So avoid fish and you will probably come out happier.

We ordered Hi-Tea Platter and we were three people, Hi-Platter was enough for three costed around Rs.1800. They gave option to have two margaritas and two teas or you can swap between. Tea was really awesome. Staff was very courteous and atmoshphere was awesome for chit chat. Recomemded

Loved their alfredo pasta, but the drink Shakespeare in Love is over hyped also their cookie with ice cream Im sorry to say was a disaster. The ambience is so good, but they can certainly improve their menu and taste.

I absolutely adore the owner, shes so kind and invested in you as a customer that it just triples the good experience. My go to place for some cheering up when Im sad.

Was really disappointed by the slow service. High tea platter was okayish also it was super cold on the rooftop and only after asking multiple times they turned on the heaters(at the minimum flame)

It was a nice experience we had there hi tea platter but it wasnt any thing extraordinary dessert were ok. Chat was very good and lasagna and chicken tenders too wass amazing but everything else was pretty average we had MIT margaritas instead of tea it was not good at alll.. To get the assessment of value for money platter was 1300 excluding tax... I think chilmen hi tea buffet is much better

Amazing place, great people, great atmosphere. Great food, and coffee. I tried their chocolate brownie they served it with an ice cream oh amazing hot brownie with cold ice cream. The view outside the gallery is amazing you can see people in the cafe below enjoying. It was quite pleasant when I visited Islamabad so it was nice to sit outside.

Good name, horrible decor. Who names their place after Shakespeare and then impales Shakespeares books in skewers as decoration? Why is the bill presented in a Shakespeare book? Basically this place is the epitome of people using literature for business without respecting it. Shakespeare rolls in his grave every time you visit this place.Now to the food: stale, imbalanced spices, and can sometimes take an hour to reach you even though the place is mostly empty.Ambiance: used to be okay but now they have live singers in this VERy little place, which makes it sound like a really noisy karaoke bar. The loud music helps mask the horrible taste of the food usually.

It was peaceful environment there. They have good things to serve us but we were to drink mint Margareta and Hot chocolate cake. It was very tasty. I would suggest every one to visit this place twice in life. You can contact them via Instagram to book your table. You can ask them to prepare you order before you reach. They have good service. Lovely place, went to eat tacos and was a bit nervous because its like the only place serving tacos in the surroundings, i would say it tasted a bit better than taco bell, because most of the time the tortillas at taco bell are soft and moist, whilst here they were fresh and crispy

Wasnt impressed with the food at all. The veg pasta was salty and uncreative, hot & spicy panini had too much sauce and the apple crumble was more like a very dry apple pie. Only good things were that the staff was courteous and prices are relatively not that highAlso the place is a little hard to locate, I doubt I wouldve been able to find it if I wasnt with friends whod been there before

I found this place to be just okay with regards to the food, ambiance and menu variety. Their peach tea was mediocre. Foods temperature was not right. Food was either too hot or too cold. Staff was very polite though. With a large gathering (which we witnessed at the end of our time there) , this place is a mess.

Ordered Greek nachos, their topping was really good but a little too less which meant a lot of nachos were left at the end without anything to eat them with. Partisan di Milan with spinach and cheese sauce was really really good..tender chicken and yummy cheesy sauce. The spaghetti, it came with was also cooked in a really good sauce. The William Shakespeare burger had a beef mince sauce which tasted really good but the beef patty was a little harder and left something to be desired. Overall a really good experience with a nice cozy ambiance to pair it with.

Below Average food, nothing special. I had a chicken dish that was suppose to have cottage cheese fillings. It was filled with cubes of what they called cottage Cheese. It had ko taste and was chewy like rubber.

We went for iftar here yesterday (24 May 2019), the ambiance was good and the staff was polite. But the place was over crowded, the service was very poor, and the food was mediocre. Also, the staff was favouring certain tables over the other. When we were called for desserts, there was a line at the buffet, we were the 5 or 6 in line, by the time we reached the main dessert dish was empty ,so we asked for a refill to which we were told this was only one dish, there is no more. We couldnt imagine how they could have possibly made just one dish of dessert to feed the entire restaurant full of people. And later to our surprise they were serving the same dessert on the specific favoured tables.The poor and biased service continued through out our time there, I would not go back.
