Chinar Bagh (Freedom Fighters Monument) is a memorial of the heroes who died in the independence of Gilgit. The nearby Gilgit River allows for a pleasant walk, with two hanging bridges at stretch across the river.

This is the newly constructed Monument, built in memory of the martyrs of Gilgit liberation Movement earlier in 1962. The current government has spent 15million rupees on relocation and new construction of the Monument. The initial Yadgar was constructed here in Chinar Bagh in memory of the martyrs of Gilgit Scout who laid down their lives while liberating Gilgit-Baltistan from the Dogra occupiers in 1947-48.Nicely built, good location but not accessible for general public.
