Naltar is a valley near Gilgit, Hunza and Nomal in the Gilgit–Baltistan region of Pakistan. Naltar is about 54 kilometres from Gilgit and can be reached by jeeps. Naltar is a forested region known for its dramatic mountain scenery. Ski competitions are held at Naltar ski resort. I experienced Skiing at this place on last week of December 2019. It was good. You need to keep tyre chains with you because due to snow roads are slippery and vehicles may slip. Skiing equipment is available at the sopt they charge 1000 for one person equipment. Lakes are further about 10 kilometers ahead of this resort. From December to March these are accessible on foot only. Only 1 restaurant (that to average) is available there except Army and Airforce Messes.
