The very reason this place was built is worth appreciation. Its a ladies park, one of the first of its kind in Gilgit. The last chief minister of Gilgit-Baltistan was of the view that political process had dimmed the sectarian fault lines of the area because political parties accomodated all sorts of men from all sects and that they provided a platform where the men of our society could intermingle with men from other sects and thus see for themselves that sectarian divide was nothing but an instrument of division and oppression. However the womenfolk had no such place and they still taught their kids the same old stories of hatred and bloodshed. Located right at the boundary of shia and sunni populated areas this park was to provide the first platform to our womenfolk to make intercommunal contacts.

A very commendable job done by Gilgit Development Authority to provide a space for females of all walks of life to interact with each other in a healthy environment. It is named after Dadi Jawari, the Queen Jawari was the lady ruler of Gilgit and she was famous for building water channel from Kargah Nalla to Gilgit town for irrigation and drinking purposes.Psrk is located at the end point of City park towards Nagaral, highly secured and nicely done by the authorities.
