The museum is one of its kind in Pakistan according to my experience with a large number of historical objects. You can see all of the Bahawalpur States history in it. It is highly recommended

Well organized small historical place. The best kept in Pakistan I think, the old steam train engine, the classic and vintage vehicles, art work, all items well explained and placed. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

It is supervised by the local government of bahawalpur district. there are eight galleries in bahawalpur museum. collectionPakistan Movement Gallery which comprises the Modern history of Pakistan. another is archaeological Gallery which represents the archaeological history of the region. there is also an Islamic gallery which exhibits manuscripts, inscription and Quranic documents. one gallery consists of the cultural heritage of bahawalpur region. art and coin gallery is also there in bahawalpur museum.Cholistan Art and Heritage also presented in museum.مغلیہ دور کی یادیں تازہ کرنی ہوں یا پھر نواب آف بہاولپور کے زیر استعمال بگھی دیکھنی ہو تو بہاولپور میوزیم ضرور جائیں۔ 1976 میں تعمیر کروایا گیا بہاولپورمیوزیم خوبصورتی کے ساتھ تاریخ میں بھی اپنی مثال آپ ہے۔ اٹھارہ کنال رقبے پر پھیلے اس میوزیم میں 10 الگ الگ گیلریز بنائی گئی ہیں، جن میں تحریک پاکستان گیلری سمیت 9 گیلریز شامل ہیں۔بہاولپور میوزیم میں مغلیہ دور کے سونے اور چاندی کے سکے بھی موجود ہیں، جن میں شہاب الدین غوری ، شیر شاہ سوری، نادر شاہ، علاوالدین خلجی، پرتھوی راج اور ریاست بہاولپور کے سکوں نے سکہ جات گیلری کی رونق بڑھا دی ہے۔بہاولپور میوزیم 5 ہزار سے زائد اشیا نمائش کے لئے رکھی گئ ہیں، جس میں رکھی گئی نواب آف بہاولپور کے زیر استعمال بگھی اور میوزیم کے باہر کھڑا تاریخی ریلوے انجن شائیقین کی توجہ کا مرکز بنا ہوا ہے۔

Bahawalpur Museum is located near National Liberary Bahawalpur. It is one of the old museum in Pakistan. It has vast variety of old historic heritage. It has many old Railway Engines and Cars which were used by Rulers of Bahawalpur. More than 1000 yeas old Islamic and local things are here.

Good place to visit for knowledge of history and cultural heritage of Bhawalpur in detail and some bits and piecea also depict culture of cholistan. Contain detailed backgroud and brief bio of Nawabs of Bahawalpur, also contain some stone age artifacts, coins from various dynasties mostly south asian and some old weaponary.

It is a historic place where old maps, artillery, signs, models, postal stamps and models of old forts of Bahawalpur are placed.It is well maintained place that is being updated by placing new.Museum has good library and park with it. On display there are old cars and railway engines used in Bahawalpur state are available

You enter the gate and a beautiful building is on your left... This is library. Museum is on the right with a very unnoticed small entrance beside an old steam engine. The building is in poor shape and artifacts are displayed in a poor condition. This museum contains artifacts of rich history of Bahawalpur and needs a lot of improvement.

They claim it museum but when you go their you get the valuable information that museum has been sealed... just an old railway engine is displayed at entrance at name of museum... in a pathetic condition....

This was good about 10 or 12 years ago but now a days there are variants of antiques are good.. But proper functioning of museum is not good for natives.

A building preserving the history, culture, and traditions of the Nawabs of Bahawalpur as well as the neighboring areas of Bahawalpur including Cholistan desert. The whole setup may leave you in wonder.
