I was visiting family in Ann Arbor & we were already going to Goodwill & the Salvation Army store, so we thought wed stop here. I was extremely impressed!! Everything was VERY organized & they had very reasonable prices! I definitely want to go back!

The store is clean, and the employees are relatively nice. However, their selection is generally pathetic for anything besides clothes (which every other store sells). Its a good cause but they refuse to take any electronics that they dont see as very valuable, and the ones they DO take they put in their showcase and try to sell for an extremely high price. Apparently providing low-income people with affordable electronics isnt worth the hassle. If you arent looking for clothes or knick knacks than skip this place.

Stopped in to look for a few things and left with much more! Love that this place has a bit of everything, not overwhelming, well organized, easy to sort through. I need to remember to always come here first before Target or other places, because theres a good chance Ill find what I need. Best find is baby and toddler clothes up to 5t are all 50 cents!

This place is an awesome thrift store. They have great prices and they have a lot of great options and clothes. They have a ton of things here as well as just clothes. They have couches and furniture, desks and rugs and cloth parts. I will for sure be back here a lot. I like it better than the salvation army that is just down the road. I like that their prices are constant and dont vary per piece of clothing. Very nice service and workers and a great cause.

Great prices. Have bought items from many departments over the last 5-10 years. as well as given donations. Appreciate the dressing rooms, helpful staff, and really well organized. Of course the inventory changes, but always very clean. A real win-win for our community & schools. Their program has been featured nationally.

A good store that treats employees well. Donation hours are very inconvenient - I happen to have Tuesdays off from work and they never accept donation on that day. given that I live on the other side of the city such a rule makes it difficult. Pick up service now also requires a person present, even for a piece of simple furniture.

The clothes here are well organized by size, and there are fitting rooms. There are also separate little rooms for kids clothes. The clothes are generally priced the same (i.e., shirts all the same price) and they have color tags on sale. The thing that really makes this store stand out is that they sell craft supplies. The supplies are well sorted into little drawers that are labeled, so its pretty easy to find the specific craft you are looking for. They also have a fairly large selection of furniture, and also their books are well sorted, which is not too common at thrift stores.

This place would’ve gotten five stars if they didn’t get an attitude with me when I found a box of model trains that weren’t priced yet. (They ended up selling them to me anyway to avoid trouble) but hey I got two working ho scale locomotives from here and few planes and cars. So overall it’s a good place.

Not a very organized thrift shop. Cleaner than most. Cheap or well worn clothes. Expensive for a thrift shop. Not many items to choose from. And I got some nice shoes that were $5, and when I went to buy my stuff, my cashier, a very nice lady, couldnt find the tag on my shoes. So she asked the cashier next to her and she sees the tag, RIPS IT OFF, AND HAS THE GUTS TO SAY, Oh. They dont have a tag! They are $10.20! Overall, would NOT recommend to EVER go here!

As a DONOR, I am often frustrated by receiving room staff rudeness, they signed on for this job. Please dont treat me like I am making demands on you. If this process offends you, perhaps choose an alternate line of work! They have rigid rules: if there has been one flake of snow or raindrop, they refuse the donation you have driven there. One day I arrived 15 minutes prior to closing and dropped off stuff. On my last trip back to the car the door went shut, I quickly gave a holler and knocked to no response. I work with the public, do not punch a clock and always stay until the job is done. I want this money to go to AAPS and do not wish to donate to Salvation Army, but they do come to your car, unload it any day and SMILE!!As a SHOPPER, I am nothing but pleased. They can often fill a special niche. Or I could try something new at a low cost w/o investing too much. Reasonable quality and prices

Fair prices on good stuff. If you want it so cheap that you can resell it, this place isnt for you. Still good deals on stuff that ISNT garbage. Plus the money goes to helping schools. Check it out. If you arent a total cheapskate youll find something you like. Its also organized really well.

Not fond of the general prices on clothing items instead of individual price tags. (Its cool to buy a second hand shirt that was $50 new, but not so much when youre paying the same for a shirt that was $6 new.) The bright side is they do have good sales. Its also fairly clean and organized as far as thrift shops go.I like that they give you chips to donate towards different causes at different schools. They test the majority of their electronic devises before putting on the floor which gives me that small piece of confidence I need when buying. Will continue to shop there and would recommend to others.

Lost our business! today my family and I took a trip to the PTO Thrift shop and we were ready to buy a small white cabinet. I asked a man about it and he was writing up a slip for us ready to hold until we were finished looking, then my husband walked up and the man suddenly says oh actually I think this was actually being held for someone... mind you there was no sold or pending sign on this at the time or other notes on the furniture stating it was being held. We have an interracial white/asian family and it was VERY VERY obvious it was once he saw my husband that the sale was denied! this is unacceptable!!!! Will be reporting as racism should not be used while conducting a business to turn people away. We were then told that if they didnt come by the end of the day that we could buy it, then I asked well could it be put on hold so we can pick up if they didnt, we were told no. Someone else then came up and asked about it(the same item mind you!!!) and they were allowed to put the item on hold.. how is this right???? happened in front of our 4 yr old who also took notice of this happening. We will not be back here and definitely spreading the word about you guys. RUDE AND RACIST.. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!! I am sickened by this and no one should be treated like this at any business.Update: received an email from them and they basically excuse the way we were treated just by watching a video with no sound.. although they came through to hold the item we looked at we ended up not bothering with it as we do not believe in giving or business to someone who treated us so poorly and excuses racism toward Asian/interracial families. Their email stated that this employee was super nice well your precious snow flake was not nice to us, holding items for others right in front of us after telling us no! We didnt get equal service so I am sorry but we are not changing our review.

Before you purchase any sofa or love seat please measure youre space carefully or youll be left hearing no refund or exchanges. Purchased a love seat and sofa, the love seat fit perfectly through the door, the couch didnt fit no matter how many attempts the movers tried. Called the manager from the store no refund or exchanges, but I was offered a partial refund (she said she was being generous). I asked if I could send it back to the store, they will only hold it for three days, and they charge you another $35 to redeliver it. If not picked up in the three days, it goes back on the floor for the same amount. I would not recommend this place.

Recently made several donations to various places like salvation army and here. This was without a doubt the rudest place about us dropping off a donation. It was as if we were bothering them by wanting to give them free stuff. We do always find things to buy when we go inside but each visit feels like it might not be worth going again. Would recommend checking at least once.

“Yesstyle is a great online website to binge shop on Asian clothing because of its cheap price, but beware that the quality can be poor too! It is either a hit or miss, so be sure to read the reviews because they are very helpful in determining whether the item is of good quality. ALSO, the sizing is mostly one size, so be sure to check the measurements before purchasing an item. Asians are small. One thing I disliked it that I had to split my order in two in order to get my items quicker. One s...”

The Ann Arbor PTO Thrift Shop is one of my favorite thrift shops in Ann Arbor. They clean the place well and have a good selection of things. They dont seem to have very many mens clothing, but other than that there is everything from records and CDs to furniture (tons of it). The PTO The PTO Thrift Shop is the cheapest thrift store Ive been to in Ann Arbor other than the Reuse Center. Depending on the item of course, but the two are comparable. But you tend to find nicer things at the PTO Thrift Shop as there are less people there. The Reuse center is highly picked over. The only reason I am giving it four stars is because of their electronics return policy. They test all electronics which is nice, but they offer NO returns on items because they have deemed them working. This is fine for some simpler things, but they cant possibly have tested everything on every item. I am always afraid that I will buy something and a function of it will not work.Other than that, this place is fantastic and the workers are usually pretty nice.

My absolute favorite thrift store in the area. I have found some serious great finds here. They are particular about what you donate, but understandably so, they are a non-profit and have to keep costs low, they dont have the time or the resources to sort out and despose of ripped/broke trash. The staff is always friendly. Their pricing system is genius! The store is always clean. Seriously my favorite store in town!

I used to love going here, but the service and shop as a whole has really taken a turn for the worst. The prices used to be so reasonable. Now everything is marked way up and there is so much damaged and stained merchandise for sale. I understand this is resale, but some items should not be sold in their shoddy condition. Also, last week when I donated a box of items, I had a very rude encounter with the staff member on duty. I was quite taken aback by her attitude. I also purchased one item and had an equally rude experience with the cashier. Theyve lost my business for good.
