Fun place for big boys and girls of all ages! Theres a toy for just about every outdoor enthusiast to find.Found the ammunition that I was looking for for my pistol. Had an unpleasant experience with the gun sales staff talkin poorly of the weapon that I chose to buy just last week. They were trying to upsell me on the highest priced version of the same weapon.

I went to purchase my first shotgun from this store. They explained everything to me about gun rules and care. I trusted them as professionals. I even bought all the accessories with the purchase. When I got home and looked at my New Gun it had gun powered all down the barrel. After one empty pump, it was completely jammed. I have had a veteran look at it, and a seasoned hunter, and they concluded that I was sold a Used Gun. Now when I think back to this purchase, they probably saw a naive woman and off loaded some faulty equipment. I know the receipt says No Refunds. But what do I do when a large company sells a used gun as a new one, and its broken to boot. Any advice appreciated.Update. Still dont know how the gun got like that. But the store manager was able to fix it for me. Updating review to 5 stars. :)

Anytime I go here the staff are more than pleasant. And, they are also very knowledgeable in the department that they are specifically assigned to. I cant how many times a sales associate helped me to correctly size myself for boots, or any other type of outdoorsman style clothing. Always look forward to going here!

Great store; good selection of what I was looking for as well as a good price range. They have quality products so they dont have what I would call inexpensive items but they great products at a reasonable price.

A very nice Bass Pro Shop, items basically what you would find at any other one in the country. Wide selection at may office ranges. Fishing, camping, and gifts. Lots to see and enough displays to keep kids entertained.

Being told to leave because I wasn’t wearing a mask.... call me me an anti masker or what ever label you want. I’m not sick. No question to if I can wear a mask! Never again! Bass Pro and Cabelas have for ever lost my business!

Decent prices and pretty helpful staff. Have spent hundreds in the last few weeks alone and always feel good about it at this store. If I had any complaints, they need better customer service on their boat motors side of the store, I was ready to throw money on one of their few big ticket items at the store and stood around without even a greeting looking for help and there were multiple employees coming and going from the desk who didnt even look over at me. Went to a local shop for my motor who actually had comparable or better prices, so not a loss IMO. Still a good place to shop for gear.

Chris in the tracker center helped my friend get set up for her first Alaskan fishing pole. Showed us ties, taught us how to do things properly and what gives him luck. He went above and beyond and helped us tremendously..not to mention while fishing in hope we limited out tying the hook he taught us how to do.Will be always coming back to basspro for fishing gear. I hope you guys are able to keep Chris around for a long time.

This place is awesome. And the employees are very friendly.

Beautiful store to walk through high-quality products trusted brands. There are a lot of workers everywhere so there’s help when needed but they don’t harass you as you browse through. They have the Santas workshop going on which is a lot of fun for kids. They have lots of sales every department has its own clearance area. All your fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, etc. gear that you could think of it’s here. There’s lots of fitting rooms.The fish tank is gorgeous stock filled us fish. There’s lots of areas to sit and enjoy the decorations its very cool. Theres lots of taxidermy work on display.

If you need gear for the back country of Alaska, this is the place to visit. Bass Pro Shops has some of the best displays both inside and outside of the building. The live fish tank with native Alaskan fish is great to watch.

Very big store but didnt have what I needed seems unfortunate because I only go during fall.

Fishing tackle gets 5 stars. Gun counter none.Helpful polite staff in the fishing Dept. Some items priced competitive.Got avoided completely at gun counter by 3 employees, while other customers got assisted. . . Felt weird being the only non Caucasian customers, and also the only ones not getting assistance. :0/

Some of the workers need better tact when talking to customers instead of being incredibly disrespectful and rude

This is an awesome store. Amazing paintings on the walls, huge collection of taxidermy animals, and a live aquarium. Good selection of products, competitive pricing.

The firearms section/management of this store is completely incompetent. I had a firearm that I own shipped up to this store from a cabelas in the lower 48. When I arrived they could not find the gun and told me to call the next day and speak to the day shift employees. The guy I was told to call was working IN THE SAME DEPARTMENT right down the gun counter as we stood there. Seemed like they just wanted to pass the buck and not do their jobs. I talked to the other employee and stated if they do not find my firearm I will call the ATF. Not surprising, after a flurry of activity they come out with my firearm.After presenting my drivers license I asked the employee to open and verify the serial number and ensure my red dot is present. All good. I then asked is there anything else that needs to be done, and the employee states nope it was a store to store transfer so you are good to go. Seemed odd, but whatever they are the FFL holder so they should know the rules. I was not going to fill out a negative review based on the interaction thus far, however the following interaction with management was the impetus.The next morning at 9:30 I get a call from the store manager telling me that I FAILED to fill out the FFL paperwork and that I needed to come back to the store IMMEDIATELY to fill out the paperwork. I told him that I live almost and hour away and I am moving into my new residence so that will not work. The store manager then threatens me by saying I am doing you a big favor because otherwise I will report this to the ATF and they will come and get you. Funny I thought the ATF views this as a failure of the FFL holder – 27 CFR 478.124 and 18 USC 922.I explained that it was his employees failure to follow procedure that caused this incident and I will get there when I can. He retorted that we did nothing wrong and he will not argue with me about this. That was the kicker for me because it shown that this store manager is unable to take responsibility for his employees actions, supervised a shoddy firearms accountability system, and he has NO customer service ability even in a clear case of employee error by blaming the customer and then threatening the customer in order to save his FFL license. I hope that Bass Pro HQ is reading this and fires this guy.I would not do any firearms related dealings with this store until there is new management and proper training for all firearms employees.

Great place to find all your out door needs. Giant selection. Plenty of staff to assist. Honestly seems like they have to many employees. They almost harass you. I would recommend anyone who likes the outdoors to check it out.

Great store inside, people are friendly. Just a shame you cant get ammo anymore, their always out. Prices are fair on most things bought some spf clothing they seemed to run a little large the medium was quite large on me.

I enjoy shopping at Bass pro shop and cabelas a lot. Since I recently got stationed up here, my wife and I went in to buy a fishing license and the workers are so rude. The worker that sold my license made three errors in a row and she put her hands up at me and yelled “you’re freaking killing me”. I really felt embarrassed around other customers as she yelled it out. I am not sure if the workers who wear blackshirt are managers up front but he didn’t do anything to correct her. And for having a membership it’s crazy how I got treated just to get a license. I spoke to a lead manager in the clothing department about and she didn’t do a thing. Hope the manager of this store reads this review And makes some changes.

Bass Pro is one of my favorite stores ever! Sometimes I just stop and walk though the store for a while, watching the fish, happily running into friends, or looking at new items. The store and rest rooms are clean as can be; the workers are just amazing! If you cant find something that is just a few feet or several aisles away, no problem. Someone will walk you right to it. I always especially enjoy visiting Santa, too! By all means, youll be glad you stopped at Bass Pro!

Although I found the products I was looking for... It took me 40 mins to get attention as a customer at the gun counter. I was not the only customer waiting, while the store clerk is chatting away with another customer with unrelated stuff.... Meanwhile 8 of us are waiting to be seen.

Cool things to look at. Friendly staff for the most part. They are missing the price tags on many items and what they have in stock on many things is limited. Prices are so-so.

5 stars for the friendly workers. 3 stars rating because of the sloooowest checkout experience ever. Management should have stepped in to assist.

If youre looking for boats, hunting and fishing gear shop at Bass Pro Shop. No RV section here only boat accessories. No deli here either, so bring your own coffee. The place looks great and easy to get around the store.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Was trying to get the right lures and bait, took 15 minutes to find an associate, then she didn’t know anything, so she got on her radio to ask for assistance, and nothing happened. Waited another 15 minutes for someone to show up...nothing. Maybe 20 customers in the whole store, no help at all. WILL NEVER WASTE MY TIME HERE AGAIN!!!

Its was not what I expected. This place didnt even have any shirts that displayed anything about Alaska nor did it even have a cafe. But over all small store for being in the capital of out door life. Ya would think this would be their show stopping store. But it was small. Not well laid out as well.

Even if you just stop and browse, well worth stopping in.

What an amazing place. I could spend the day there.

We ran into an issue where we were charged for our purchase but the store computer said we were not. The front end manager was extremely helpful he called the i.t. department and through him and the our bank we were able to correct the issue. He handled it with amazing professionalism that is rarely seen in todays world. As someone who works in the retail industry I hope you guys never lose that manager.

When it comes to outdoor clothing and equipment Bass Pro Shops has what I need. Great location if you are on the northeast side of Anchorage.

Poor selection. Had to pay for expensive gun case, as sale cases not available.

No one called to me inform me my order was in. I was told I was lucky the order was not returned. If it was, I was told, I would have to pay freight again. The store had to call several people to find the order. We waited patiently for about 20 minutes. We loaded the box up and left, no offer to help. I am 73 and disabled the other person is 75.

Really helpful and friendly staff - specifically Jackson at the firearm section. I wasnt buying anything, but he was still really enthusiastic and willing to explain and demonstrate the guns. Even allowed me to hold a few and take pictures with them. A genuinely great guy!

I have shopped here since it opened in Anchorage and have always had a positive experience. Staff is knowledgeable about the product and if they do not know the answer they will work hard to find it.

Better gun holster options would help.

Great outdoors items, from clothing gear for all types of weather to an immense array of hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, boating, mountain climbing items for sale. Prices are on the higher side ,due to many name brands & sophisticated high-end gear of all sorts. Percentage off sales are reasonable when they do offer such times. Very well knowledgeable and Attentive staff, overall a wonderful experience, especially when they have holiday events & contests. They also have a very well decorated building from the outside to the entire inside from ceilings to flooring & design. A wonderful enormous fish tank display is a majestic site to see, so wonderful for you and your families little ones.

Cant go wrong shopping at Bass Pro Cabelas. Something for everyone, even the non hunters.

Bass pro shop Anchorage- Walmart has better service! Update—needed a few simple things. All employees to busy with a.m. meeting to help several customers navigate the store. What looked like a manager, told me if I need anything fancy I should go to a different local store. HahahhahahhaNext big block store to fall in Anchorage??

They had a kids B.B. gun range . Now and arrow range and fishing bucket. All were full so we waited. The kids wanted to try the B.B. gun but the guy sat down after the other kid. He heard my kids say they wanna shoot. I guess if your not white no luck. That’s said they hire people like that

Visiting Bass Pro is like a mini adventure. Im pretty sure I need one of everything in the store. I love the fact that they provide great quality in a variety of price options in case youre not independently wealthy. The wildlife exhibits are stunning!
