One of the major railway station in Punjab. You can get a train to Attari border from here .Nice railway station with good facilities. You can get local trains and long distance trains from here. Also bus stand is near to it so you can get a bus to your destination place. Hotel and restaurant are also available near the railway station so you dont have to go far for it.

Amritsar railway station is very crowded most of the times as it is one of the most important stations of the Northern region of Indian railways.The station has good facilities for the Travellers and good amenities as Amritsar is a known tourist Destination.

Overall a good place to find trains for almost any place in the country. Just lacks bit of cleanliness and order. Elevator is available in building near food court. Parking is also available at nominal price. In order to avoid being fined for person without purpose on station, it is advised that everyone who accompany their family must buy a station ticket.Taxis/cabs are easily available, local bus service is also available at gate of station. Police men are also available, in case one needs help.

Station is not as maintained as it should be. Mismanagement of auto and taxi stands also causes congestion outside railway station. Taxi and auto drivers will start following you from platform itself. Platforms are clean. Proper dustbins are placed. Continuous announcement of train will keep you informed about the status of your train.

Old station bulding but condition is good. Good facility of water, toilet and bath also.very clean bath room. At platform 1.You will get free pick and drop bus(yellow in colour) for golden temple from station.

Nice place. Free WiFi facility available here area is clean. Gold temple One of the most thing famous here this temple is very beautiful and attractive. There is a mini pond near the temple who increase the beauty of temple. Location is most beautiful I love this place. This place is very pleasured and heart touchable roads are very fine and clean.

Golden Temple is the best place. Here peace comes to mind. This is a tourium place. People from here come to visit the Golden Temple. People here bring their wishes and here the wishes of the people are also complete. I Love this place.

Best and nearest station for Shri Harmandir sahib.

A Large Railway station which connects thousands of cities and states together.The railway station is neat and clean and there are also dust bins and sweepers which make the floor neat and clean.Moreover, there are also sweeping mini cars which clean the dirt from the floor but its not good because it blows the dust on people.There are washrooms or restrooms available at the station and there are some small canteens from where you can buy snacks and cold drinks or mineral waterand there is also a police station where you can take help or register any complaint.I didnt not find the ticket counter very good because people are not standing in a queue and fights if someone comes or go out of line.If you want to go to some other platform you can use lift to go to the first floor or on the bridge that connects all the platforms.Last but not the least, please travel in the train box which is allotted by the railways because if the ticket checker will come he will fine you if you are traveling in wrong train box.At Last i want to alert you because due to the large population coming to the Amritsar Railway station there also pocket pickers and frauds which will target people who are new to Amritsar. Amritsar railway station was looking lovely because of lights. I entered and ask about train the person there smile and said go to platform no 1. Here canteen available, if you have less money you can eat food just in 70 rupees.parking for car and bike is just behind to words platform no. 1.

This railway station was fine, particularly as all we did was arrive on a train from Delhi. Our group were met on the platform by our local tour guide and escorted to our coach transfer to our hotel.Recommended

This place is look very old. And look at the stations is very good.

Overall its a pretty clean train station. There are small kiosks selling food and books and a few other incidentals. Its decently well lit at night. If youre walking in, the east side is where you buy tickets, and its a little bit of an odd entry. The surrounding area was pretty safe for a 1.6km midnight walk West/North to our Airbnb; The scariest thing being a couple of barking dogs. As an aside, if youre buying tickets for a local train, its day-of purchase only.

Amritsar Junction is situated in Guru Arjun Nagar, Amritsar, Punjab. Its functioning since 1862 under North Zone. Its a largest and heavily crowded junction. As the visitors are coming from all around to visit the Sikh pilgrimage Golden Temple and other historical landmarks. It has very good connectivity to Punjab and other major cities of the Country. Outside railway station u will find many auto rickshaws and they will leave you almost anywhere u want to go with a minimal amount of 10rs. Golden temple from station is just 2KM away from the station. I am going to attach a rough guiding map which will guide you and also tell you about the places near the station.

The station need so improvement they are very dirty station. Amritsar is known as the smart city in India but in station there are no like a smart city station. There are many garbage having inside. And staff is irritating if come to in morning before 5 am then there no one person available to give service of ticket. Always get from the ticket machine through card.

This railway station is the most important railway station of North India. All trains are available from all over India, like Haryana Himachal, Delhi, Punjab, Uttarakhand etc. Trains are available in all the states. Parking facilities here are separate for parking here. There are separate departments such as motorcycle parking is separate from the car, it is separate from the rickshaw. For rickshaws autos facilities canteen separately available at the dinner that conducts time tea time Provide.

This is one of the Clean & Big junction of Punjab States Northern Railways.The station id properly decorated. Station is clean & staffs are helpful. But security is not good enough. Scanning machine is available but are they working properly i dont know and the authorities Dont care about the security. There are both elevator and lifts available in this Junction. Frindly pace this is.

A decent railway station with good connectivity and amenities. However, not very well maintained if I talk about cleaniness.

Our train was at 4am in the morning so we decided to stay at the Station waiting room. We had a ticket for AC class coach. But the Station didn’t have any waiting room for AC class also the waiting room which was available had fans at very bad condition. Good thing was about six or seven walls had charging ports. It also had elevators which was very convenient as well. There were so many battery autos and normal autos available out of the station.

Direct trains are available for almost all the States.There is no problem related to Food and Other facilities but the problem of cleanliness exists here.It is the largest railway station in Punjab. There are 8 Commercial platforms in the station.

Ok... Not that WELL maintained...but at least people have sufficient seating areas and availability of water and washrooms.The waiting area needs to be built quick. Its already more than 2 yrs, its under construction.

Amritsar Junction Railway station through main entry to platform No1 is here. Towards Pathankot, New Delhi and other places you can get trian from here. Also those who wanted to visit Amrity Golden Temple has to get down here and easy to reach there by Auto or taxi. Also refreshing rooms for taking bath and toilet is available here. But condition of toilet is not good and mainatnace is poor for gents waiting room. You should come with a mug. But ladies waiting room is fine.

This is the starting point of most trains towards this area. This station needs more seating capacity. No good options for food here. Free water and light snacks available.You get a free bus service from this station to the Golden Temple.

Its look old but in nice condition . From the railway station golden temple and jalliawala bhagh is approx 32 km . You can go through bus , auto etc. There is reasonable price hotel available .

Big and beautiful railway station.

In last 2 days i go to Amritsar for roaming , it was a great time to spend with my best friend , all the trip was awesome and i get alot of memories . The best thing i got there is the prade of Wagah border . It is entertaining place with the feeling of country love . Some foreigners was also shouting for India that was ..Jai Hind... , I feel very great proud to be an indian . Everone has The national Indian flag in their hand and printed on the cheeks ...it was so lovely

Would class station

Amritsar Railway Station has got clean waiting rooms, clean platforms, clean washrooms, a lot of space for parking and you can easily get cabs and auto from this station to golden temple.

Station is not much maintained as it should be considering its historic importance. If compared with Nanded which has equal historic importance Amritsar has to go a way too long. On station facilities are same as any other Junction. You will easily find local tum tum or cycle rickshaw outside station, just make sure you bargain.

A nice art peace you see.. When you enter in the railway station of the specialty of Amritsar that is the golden Temple demon peace . Not sooooo good not soo bad..it just ok - ok. When we talk about their clearness its get 7 out of 10 . The parking is so big of this railway station. You get many trains here.

Very old historical buildings and good facilities for passengers

I spend 2 days in amritsar its real enjoyable.City was awesome and I found polices in every corner.But when its comes to railway station in night its not safe for tourists.We have to take early morning train from amritsar to New Delhi-so we came station at night.I didnt see any crpf or railway police on duty.Please look into this. Lots of people coming and sit anywhere. I kept my wife at ladies waiting room.2 gents came inside on ladies waiting and site next to her and asking something- then we enter then they left.This is not good. I hope you will look into this.We usually travel by bus. This is first time we halt in Amritsar station.Its just a suggestion from my side. Because we not feel safe thats way I wrote this.

Many changes seen in last few years.its clean and very huge. Proper washroom are available. Restrooms and waiting rooms are also available.escalators installed.wheelchair accessible parking.proper parking slot for every vehicle.General stores and food courts are also there.U can get coolies here easily. Over all its a good railway station.

There are many rickshaws outside the station. It is neat and clean railway station. There are almost 60plus trains originates here. Golden temple is almost 2-3 kilometers far from station. AC waiting rooms and clean toilets. But problem is to get tickets for local trains because of rush. But overall it is best railway station.

The entrance and architecture are unique compared to others with a touch of heritage. The auto/ taxi drivers were really a public nuisance. They were literally robbing passengers outside. Cleanliness was below average. Highlight of this station is nothing but historical value.

Very busy station all the time. Many trains for various destinations available here. Trains to north east west south are available here around the clock. Construction and renovation work is going on because it is the main station of city. Tourists from all over the world come here as pilgrims and business purposes.

Station is good. Parking under construction.Be aware of private taxi drivers..They tell less fare but in the midway they tell more...
